Persistence Without Burning Bridges For Kerolos, persistence is one of the most valuable qualities anyone can develop, but only when it's done with respect. "I never try to be pushy in a negative way because the world is small," he explained. Whether he's trying to secure a guest or build a new business relationship, he believes persistence should never damage future opportunities. "If it's somebody I really admire and want to work with, I'll find another way to reach them. If someone is ignoring you, get to the point where they can't avoid you, but do it respectfully." Why Sending the First Message Doesn't Scare Him Unlike many people who hesitate before reaching out to someone successful, Kerolos says fear has never stopped him. "I never get scared of reaching out to anybody because there will always be another person." To him, rejection is simply part of the process rather than something to avoid. The Biggest Mistake Young People Make According to Kerolos, one of the biggest mistakes he sees is approaching opportunities with a sense of entitlement. "A lot of people ask for opportunities expecting to get something immediately," he said. While he's happy to help others, he believes opportunities must be matched by effort. "People who feel entitled rarely put in the work. Entitlement at a young age is a recipe for disaster." He added that many experienced entrepreneurs avoid working with people who believe success should simply be handed to them. Convincing High-Profile Guests to Say Yes One of the questions Kerolos receives most often is how he convinces influential entrepreneurs to appear in his videos. His answer is surprisingly simple. Many of the successful people he interviews aren't interested in publicity at all. "I actually love interviewing people who don't like publicity." Instead of focusing on exposure, he approaches them by explaining how their stories can provide value to others, support charitable initiatives, or inspire future entrepreneurs. "It's never about making them famous. They don't need that." Confidence Comes From Repetition For Kerolos, confidence isn't something people are born with, it develops through repetition. "I believe in reps." Before creating content, he spent years working with hospitality business owners in the United States, an experience that taught him how to deal with rejection. "They were probably the most ruthless when it came to saying no." By the time he began filming content in South Africa, approaching strangers felt far less intimidating. However, he believes confidence and repetition work together. "You have to believe in yourself enough to start, and then the reps build the confidence." The Biggest Myths About Successful People Kerolos believes people often misunderstand what success looks like. Many assume successful people possess extraordinary abilities, when in reality they're often ordinary people who have simply spent years mastering their craft. "They just have more experience than you." He also challenged another common misconception, that wealthy people are inherently selfish. "A lot of successful people genuinely want to provide value because they're passionate about what they do." Whether building businesses, creating television, or developing real estate, he believes many successful entrepreneurs simply turned the passions they had as children into lifelong careers. The Craziest Way He Landed a Collaboration Persistence paid off in one unforgettable experience while filming in South Africa. After being rejected five separate times by a potential guest, Kerolos came up with an unconventional solution. He convinced people around the executive to schedule what appeared to be a professional meeting, giving him the opportunity to finally speak with the businessman face-to-face. After a 30-minute conversation, the executive agreed to meet him again the following morning. The experience reinforced Kerolos' belief that persistence often succeeds when paired with creativity and respect. The One Person He'd Love to Meet If given the opportunity to interview anyone, Kerolos doesn't hesitate. "The Lebanese singer Fairuz." Calling her a legend, he says she's someone he's admired for years. Advice to His Younger Self Looking back, Kerolos wishes he had started even earlier. "Make the mistakes early." He believes the teenage years are the perfect time to experiment, fail, and gain experience before adulthood brings greater responsibilities. "Don't wait until you graduate. Start while you're still in school." He also encourages young people to surround themselves with individuals from different generations rather than only looking at people who have already achieved success. "The people who have already made it are living a completely different life from the people who are still building theirs." For Kerolos, success isn't built overnight. It's the result of taking action early, learning from failure, putting in countless repetitions, and remaining persistent long after most people would have given up.

From Football Dreams to Acting Although acting eventually became his profession, El Sayed revealed that football was his first passion. "I'd always dreamed of becoming a footballer. I actually played semi-professionally." Growing up in London, football consumed much of his childhood, but his curiosity about film and television gradually led him in a different direction. "I used to watch films and think, 'I feel like I can do that,'" he recalled. His interest grew after taking part in school productions, including Grease and Guys and Dolls. Encouraged by classmates, he joined a local drama school, where an attached talent agency quickly spotted his potential. "My mum supported me through drama school, and after only a few months they signed me to the agency." Soon after, he landed his first professional audition. Landing His First Audition Remarkably, El Sayed's first-ever audition earned him a role in the Hollywood blockbuster World War Z alongside Brad Pitt. "It was my first audition, and because I was so young, my dad came with me. Looking back, it's definitely a flex." That opportunity confirmed he had chosen the right career path. Returning to Egypt Feels Like Coming Home While El Sayed has spent most of his life in the UK, Egypt has always remained close to his heart. "Being here on NileFM has made me nostalgic. I have so much love for Egypt." He explained that his parents made sure he and his siblings stayed connected to their roots by speaking Arabic at home and watching Egyptian television together while growing up in London. Now, working in Egypt's television industry feels like a full-circle moment. The Advice That Changed His Career One piece of advice has stayed with El Sayed throughout every role he's taken. "Less is more." He recalled a director encouraging him to stop trying so hard to perform. "She told me, 'The best actors don't look like they're acting.' That really stayed with me. Every performance now is about stripping everything back and keeping it as natural as possible." Rejection Is Part of the Journey Despite his success, El Sayed admitted rejection remains one of the hardest realities of acting. "I've had countless rejections," he said. "After my first film and award nomination, I thought everything would just keep getting bigger. It didn't." One of the most painful moments of his career came when he was cast in what he believed would be his dream project, a role connected to Black Adam during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everything had been approved, including his passport application and visa process, before circumstances beyond his control changed everything. "Two days before I was supposed to fly, my agent called and said they had to cast someone from America because the US Embassy wasn't processing visas." The news left him devastated. "I felt like my dream had been taken away." The disappointment affected him so deeply that he struggled to audition for weeks. However, shortly afterward, an opportunity arrived that reminded him why perseverance matters. An audition for Gangs of London landed in his inbox, eventually leading to one of the most significant roles of his career. Choosing Roles That Matter As his career has evolved, El Sayed says he has become increasingly selective about the characters he portrays. "In the beginning, you take the opportunities you can get," he explained. Now, however, he prefers roles that challenge stereotypes and allow him to tell meaningful stories instead of repeating familiar character types. Working in the UK vs. Egypt Having worked extensively in both countries, El Sayed appreciates the professionalism of British productions but believes Egyptian sets offer something unique. "The call sheets in the UK are extremely precise," he laughed. But beyond the schedules, he says Egyptian productions have a warmth that's difficult to replicate. "It feels more like a family." He also praised Egyptian filmmakers, singling out director Zena AbdelBaky among the best directors he has worked with in &ldquo;Walad Bent Shayeb.&rdquo; "Egypt has always been incredible when it comes to cinema and filmmaking." Genres He Still Wants to Explore Although his r&eacute;sum&eacute; already includes drama, action, and crime, El Sayed says there are still genres he'd love to experience. "I'd love to do science fiction," he said. "And I'd love to do a romantic comedy. I've never done one before." What's Next? Among the projects he's most excited about is the upcoming series &ldquo;The Wanted Man,&rdquo; starring Hugh Laurie. "I finished ADR before coming to Egypt, so we're close to the end of post-production," he revealed. Calling it one of the projects he's proudest of, El Sayed says he's excited for audiences to finally see what's next in his career. With international productions, Egyptian television, and new genres still on his wish list, the British-Egyptian actor continues to build a career that bridges two worlds while staying true to his roots.

Tell Us About Your Background And Where Your Journey Began. I started DJing around 2010. It all began with a real passion for music, especially house music, and over time it became more serious, as I started performing and exploring the scene.

You are well-known for immersing yourself in different cultures during your travels. How do these global experiences translate into your sound and performance curation? Honestly, I don&rsquo;t focus on specific places when it comes to influencing my sound. I travel mainly for enjoyment, and every place has its own vibe. I think that variety in atmosphere naturally reflects in how I feel and play music. When constructing a new set, what is the core narrative or emotional experience you want to deliver to the dance floor? I like to take people on a journey. I usually start with a warm and deep vibe, build the energy gradually, and then bring it back smoothly at the end. I focus more on feeling and flow rather than a fixed structure.

How do you test a track&rsquo;s efficacy, and what determines whether it makes the cut for a live set? I started producing house music as well, and when I test a track, it&rsquo;s all about how it feels in a set. If it works smoothly in transitions and creates the right energy, it makes the cut. Can you give us a preview of what listeners can expect from your upcoming appearance as NileFM&rsquo;s DJ of the Week? They can expect a smooth journey with deep and groovy house vibes, starting warm, building energy, and keeping a natural flow throughout the set. Is there a particular performance that stands out as a defining moment in your career? What is the story behind it? I played back in 2010 in Little Buddha Club in Hurghada, and also had gigs in Jordan and a private event. Those early experiences were really important for me and helped shape my path. How do you maintain your signature artistic identity while remaining adaptable to diverse crowds and venues globally? I stay true to my sound, but I always read the crowd. It&rsquo;s about balancing your own identity with the energy in the room. Finally, what crucial advice would you offer to aspiring DJs looking to break into the industry and carve out their own path? My advice is to stay consistent, keep learning, and focus on your own taste instead of following trends. Passion and patience make a big difference.

The Ghetto Kids, formerly known as Triplets Ghetto Kids, are an internationally acclaimed music and dance group from the Katwe slums in Kampala, Uganda. Founded in 2014 by dance teacher Dauda Kavuma, the group is composed of orphaned and vulnerable children who use the performing arts to improve their lives and fund their education.
Take us back to the beginning. How did the idea for Ghetto Kids start, and how many children are currently part of the group? We started in 2014. Ghetto Kids is an NGO inspired by Triple S. The group comprises orphaned, vulnerable, and less privileged children. We all live under one roof at our foundation home. There are currently 60 children aged between three and 18. We use music and drama to build a better life by providing education, shelter, food, healthcare, and clothing.

After your video asking Shakira to perform with you went viral, how did you receive the news that she had accepted? What was your reaction? We felt so excited. It was unbelievable; we genuinely did not see it coming. One of the kids, Akram, saw the update on Instagram and immediately showed it to the others. They were so happy, jumping up and down and crying tears of pure joy.

Your dance videos consistently impress millions of viewers. On average, how long does it take to create and perfect a dance routine before filming? Usually, it does not take much time at all. Once we receive a song, either I or our social media manager will play it for the kids. They listen, and within a few minutes, everyone comes up with their own dance moves. We do not typically teach them rigid choreography; they create the movements themselves. Sometimes we do not even rehearse; we just go on set and shoot organically.

After &ldquo;Dai Dai&rdquo; became a huge success, you started creating dance videos inspired by different countries and cultures. What were the biggest challenges in adapting to so many different dance styles? There were not really any major challenges. We adapt quite easily. We have produced videos inspired by various international tracks, like "ODG" by a Nigerian artist, and others. The process has always been incredibly smooth for us.
From receiving the Golden Buzzer on Britain&rsquo;s Got Talent to performing on one of the world&rsquo;s biggest stages, the FIFA World Cup, how has this incredible journey shaped you both personally and professionally? I feel immensely blessed to have performed to &ldquo;Waka Waka,&rdquo; and to now transition from that into the official World Cup. It feels like a blessing from God. Professionally, our previous appearance was a competitive performance, but now we get to perform on global stages without being judged. We simply express who we are.
With so many children living, training, and performing together, how do you maintain teamwork and harmony? And when planning a new video, how do you decide which ideas to bring to life? Most of the time, we collaborate directly with the children, which is exactly how we maintain that harmony. We do not just make decisions on our own; we discuss ideas, listen to their thoughts, and create something meaningful together. That shared teamwork is what keeps us moving forward.
When planning a video, our ultimate focus is on capturing happiness and joy. We always aim for something organic and natural because we never want it to feel forced or fake.

We can already see many opportunities and doors opening. We hope to work with various international artists and perhaps even join Shakira on tour someday. We would love to collaborate more extensively with her, because the World Cup stage alone cannot showcase the full depth of our dance style. On tour, we could express so much more.
We also hope to build a dedicated rehabilitation and education centre to further support the children.

Being a female DJ in the electronic music industry can be challenging, with many artists feeling pressure to prove their talent and professionalism. Ukrainian DJ and producer Deva Vicci has broken through those barriers, building a reputation for delivering energetic performances that surprise audiences wherever she plays. Inspired by Ukraine&rsquo;s vibrant electronic music scene, Deva Vicci began her musical journey at the age of 13. Since then, she has transformed her passion for music into an international career, performing for crowds in different countries and connecting with audiences through her signature melodic techno sound. Drawing inspiration from the cultures and people she encounters around the world, Deva adapts her sets to different audiences while maintaining her unique artistic identity. She has also developed a special connection with Egypt, describing its crowds as some of the most passionate music lovers she has encountered. Now, she joins NileFM as DJ of the Week with an exclusive one-hour mix. In this exclusive interview with NileFM, Deva Vicci opens up about her musical beginnings, the challenges of being a female artist in electronic music, her love for Egypt, upcoming releases, and what lies ahead in her growing international career. As a Ukrainian DJ and producer, how has your heritage and cultural background shaped your musical identity and your journey behind the decks? Music has been a part of my life from a very young age. I started taking vocal lessons when I was 13, and through music I discovered my passion for creativity and self-expression. Later, I explored other artistic sides of myself through dance, which I practised for several years. Both singing and dancing helped me develop a deeper understanding of rhythm, emotion, and performance. Over time, I realised that I simply cannot imagine my life without music. It inspires me every day, motivates me to grow, and gives me a way to connect with people on a deeper level. Music is not just my profession or my hobby; it is a part of who I am and an essential part of my life. In general, Ukraine has an incredibly strong electronic music scene and has given the world many talented artists such as ARTBAT, Korolova, and Miss Monique. Seeing their success on the international stage has been inspiring, and it makes me feel proud to be part of the same generation of Ukrainian electronic artists. Sometimes I joke that electronic music is simply in our blood.

For me, it wasn't one specific moment. It was more about listening to my heart and exploring different styles of music until I found the one that truly resonated with me. I was searching for a sound that could reflect my emotions, energy, and personality. Over time, I discovered melodic techno, and everything simply clicked. The combination of powerful rhythms, deep melodies, and emotional storytelling felt completely natural to me. That's when I realised I had found my musical home. Melodic techno inspires me, allows me to express myself freely, and gives me the opportunity to take listeners on an emotional journey. It wasn't a sudden decision; it was a path that led me to my true calling. Breaking through in the electronic music industry comes with its challenges. As a female artist, what obstacles did you face early on, and how did you overcome them? One of the biggest challenges was that not everyone took female DJs seriously. Very often, people would first see you as an image rather than as an artist or musician. In those moments, it can be difficult because there is often more pressure, more criticism, and a greater need to prove yourself. I felt that I had to work harder to demonstrate my skills, musical knowledge, and professionalism in order to be recognised for what I do rather than how I look. However, instead of letting that discourage me, I used it as motivation. I focused on improving my craft, developing my own sound, and building genuine connections with people through music. Today, I'm proud to be part of a growing generation of female artists who are proving that talent, dedication, and passion are what truly matter behind the decks.

What is your most cherished memory or standout experience from your time visiting the country? One of the things I love most about Egypt is its incredible energy and passion for electronic music. The people there truly know how to party, and the electronic music scene is full of talented DJs, producers, and music lovers. Every time I visited, I could feel how deeply connected people are to music and how much they appreciate the experience of dancing together. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to fully explore Egypt's cultural landmarks and historical sites yet. Most of my trips were focused on events, and my schedule was usually very tight. I would arrive for a performance and then head straight back to the airport. However, Egypt remains one of the countries I would love to discover more deeply in the future. I'm also very excited about an upcoming collaboration with Egyptian artist Seidy. Our track, "Wake Up," will be released on 26 July via Termeni Records. I'm incredibly proud to be part of this collaboration, as it represents a beautiful connection between artists from different countries who share the same passion for music. Projects like this remind me that music truly has no borders.

What made that night so unique? Yes, without a doubt, one of the most memorable moments of my career was my first tour in India in 2024. I performed at a venue called RAEETH in Goa, India, and it was both the most exciting and the most emotional performance I had experienced at that point in my journey. I was nervous before stepping on stage, but the way the crowd welcomed me was incredible. The energy they gave back, the way they danced, smiled, and connected with the music is something I will never forget. It felt like we were all sharing the same moment and speaking the same language through music. That night was special because it reminded me why I chose this path. The connection between an artist and the audience is something truly magical, and I felt it more strongly than ever during that set. In many ways, that performance became a turning point for me. After that show, I started building my own community in India, and I'm incredibly grateful for all the love and support I continue to receive there. India will always hold a very special place in my heart. Having played to crowds across the globe, how do you bridge the gap between different cultures, and how do these global travels influence the music you select? To be honest, I never prepare my sets in advance. One of the things I love most about DJing is the freedom to improvise and connect with the crowd in real time. You never truly know what the audience wants until you're standing in front of them. Every crowd has a different energy, mood, and musical preference. What works perfectly in one country might be completely different in another. I've learned through my travels that different cultures often respond to different tempos, grooves, and BPM ranges. Some crowds love deeper and more melodic moments, while others want higher energy and faster rhythms. That's what makes performing around the world so exciting. I think that's the beauty of electronic music: no matter where you are in the world, music creates a universal connection between people. As NileFM's featured DJ of the Week, what can listeners expect from the exclusive set you have prepared for us? First of all, thank you for the opportunity to be your guest on NileFM. It is a great honour for me to be featured as your DJ of the Week and to have the chance to share my music, as well as express myself both as a DJ and a producer. For this exclusive NileFM set, I've prepared a special melodic techno journey filled with powerful melodies, emotional moments, and tracks that I truly believe will not leave anyone indifferent. Listeners can expect a carefully selected blend of energy, atmosphere, and storytelling through music. I'm also excited to include one of my own productions, "ROBO", a collaboration with talented Ukrainian artist Avrix. This track holds a special place in the set and represents the sound and creative direction that I'm passionate about as both a DJ and producer. For anyone discovering your music for the first time, how would you define your signature style? My signature style is probably best described as an unpredictable twist. People often expect something completely different when they first see me. My friends always joke that I'm too sweet, too cute to play such powerful electronic music. But that's exactly what I love about it. I enjoy surprising people. Beneath the soft image is a deep passion for strong melodies, hypnotic rhythms, and powerful energy. When I play, I completely surrender to the music. I stop thinking and simply follow the feeling. I hope that the audience does the same, forgetting about everything else and getting lost in the journey with me. For me, electronic music is freedom, emotion, and connection. That's the experience I try to create every time I step behind the decks. What crucial piece of advice would you offer to inspiring young female artists and producers looking to break into the industry today? My advice would be simple: if you truly feel that calling inside of you, just start. Don't wait for the perfect moment, and don't look for shortcuts. The music industry is not an easy path. It's a very competitive and challenging business, and you have to be prepared for rejection. There will be moments when people say no, when opportunities don't work out, and when progress feels slower than you hoped. But never give up. Every setback is a lesson, and every challenge helps you grow stronger. Keep improving your skills, keep learning, and keep investing in your craft. At the same time, don't become so focused on the destination that you forget to enjoy the journey. Some of the most beautiful moments happen while you're still building your career and discovering who you are as an artist. Stay patient, stay focused, trust yourself, and keep moving forward. If your passion is real and you're willing to put in the work, everything will eventually fall into place.

For the first time, I'll be touring in Morocco and Georgia, which is something I'm incredibly excited about. I'm also currently confirming dates for another tour in India. India has become a very special place for me, and I always love coming back because of the amazing energy, culture, and connection I have with the audience there. And of course, I would absolutely love to return to Egypt with my own show in the future. Egypt holds a special place in my heart, and it would mean a lot to bring my music back there and share that experience with the incredible Egyptian crowd once again. The future is looking very exciting, and I'm grateful for every opportunity to continue growing, travelling, and sharing my music with people around the world. On the music side, my upcoming solo release, "Distraction," will be released on 10 July via Area Verde. It's a track I'm very proud of, and I can't wait for people to hear it. There are also several exciting collaborations on the horizon with talented artists from different parts of the world. Take us behind the scenes of creating your sets. What&rsquo;s your process from the initial track selection right through to the final performance?
I feel like a set is a journey, not just music. You have to express that journey through the tracks you choose.

It's all about passion. I always want more and I'm constantly looking for ways to improve and evolve.
What are some of the biggest challenges you&rsquo;ve faced as a DJ, and how have they shaped you?
One of the biggest challenges was when a lot of people told me a particular set wouldn't get people dancing. In the end, it did, and that taught me to trust my instincts and believe in my vision.
This isn't your first time as NileFM's DJ of the Week! What surprises or special treats can listeners expect from you this time around?
This time is different because I'm exploring a new genre. I was playing something completely different when I started out, so I'm really excited to see how listeners respond to this set.

What advice would you give to aspiring DJs who are just starting out on their journey?
I'd say it's 50% talent and 50% track selection and musical instinct. Practise as much as you can, put your energy into it and learn how to read the crowd. You need to know when people want to sing along, when they need strong melodies and when they want something different. Most importantly, always smile and go with the vibe.
Was there a specific set, event or crowd reaction that made you think, "This is exactly where I&rsquo;m meant to be"?
Yes, my most recent set. The crowd's reaction reminded me exactly why I love doing this.
Electronic music is constantly evolving. How do you stay creative and keep your sound fresh whilst staying true to your identity as an artist?
It's all driven by passion. I always try to be different and bring something unique to every set.
If you could describe your musical journey in just three tracks, which songs would you choose and why?
Honestly, I couldn't narrow it down to just three tracks. My musical journey is made up of so many songs, each representing a different stage of my growth as an artist.

Mustafa Shehata spoke to NileFM to go behind the scenes of &lsquo;Asad&rsquo;, discussing how he navigated the brutal challenges of the shoot, what he learned from working with Mohamed Diab, and how this landmark role is shaping his Hollywood ambitions.
Tell us more about your beginnings, how did a Sudanese young man with Egyptian roots find his way into acting and cinema? At the beginning, my friends and I used to create small sketches and upload them on Facebook. They got good engagement. Later, I saw a casting call for the film &lsquo;You Will Die at Twenty&rsquo;. A friend of mine encouraged me to audition, and that&rsquo;s how it all started.

Your journey between Sudanese and Egyptian cinema is unique. What are the main differences you noticed between both industries? Egyptian cinema has a long-established legacy and is very structured. In Sudan, there was almost no real cinema around 20 years ago compared to today. Now it has become much stronger, especially after &lsquo;Goodbye Julia&rsquo;. Although it started later, it is developing with steady steps and high professionalism, whether in &lsquo;You Will Die at Twenty&rsquo; or &lsquo;Goodbye Julia&rsquo;. Most of the crew I worked with were Egyptian, which also influenced the experience.

When you were offered a role in a film directed by international filmmaker Mohamed Diab and starring Mohamed Ramadan, what excited you the most about the project? Both names are very important. The moment I heard them, I knew it would be a strong film. I was also drawn to the character Awad, a young, reckless guy. I felt there were many layers I could explore and highlight, especially with such a strong cast and production team behind the film.
Tell us about the most difficult scene you filmed and how you handled that challenge as an actor. There were many difficult scenes, both physically and psychologically. One of the hardest was a scene in Fayoum where a character tells Habashi, The Prince wants you today. The temperature was around five degrees, and we weren&rsquo;t wearing heavy clothes due to the character&rsquo;s condition. Speaking dialogue in that cold was extremely difficult. There were also intense scenes involving people being handcuffed and placed in tight cages. At some point, it felt like we were truly living those moments, and I felt like I was one of them.
What was the atmosphere like behind the scenes, and what did you learn from director Mohamed Diab and star Mohamed Ramadan? The atmosphere was very positive. Mohamed Ramadan brought great energy to the set, he was open, supportive, and always willing to listen and share advice. I learned from him how to be a star while staying grounded and maintaining a good relationship with people so they love you. Mohamed Diab gave us precise direction and valuable acting guidance. I learned a lot from both of them.

Your role in &lsquo;You Will Die at Twenty&rsquo; was a major breakthrough. How did it change your view of acting and your choice of roles afterward? It was a turning point for me, and I feel very lucky to have been part of it because it opened a window for Sudanese cinema to the world. It completely changed my understanding of acting. Before that, I didn&rsquo;t fully understand cinematic performance and had limited experience. The film placed me inside the industry and reshaped my perspective.
What opportunities do you see for collaboration between Egyptian and Sudanese cinema in the future? Would you like to take part in joint productions? There is currently a Sudanese-Egyptian film being made called &lsquo;Blue Card&rsquo;. I believe that in the future, more Sudanese films produced in Egypt will find strong audiences and success.
You will soon appear alongside superstar Yousra in the film &lsquo;Banat Faten&rsquo;. Can you tell us more about your role and working with her? The film is very special, and I hope audiences will see the effort we put into it. Yousra is amazing in every way, calm, clear, and incredibly inspiring. I deeply admire her. We still stay in contact, and I often consult her for advice even after filming. She is truly a legend in acting. The atmosphere was beautiful on set, also featuring Bassem Samra and Huda El Mufti.

After your journey from Sudan to international cinema and then Egyptian cinema, what is the biggest dream you are still chasing? It is still a very big dream. I feel my journey is just beginning. I want to work in Hollywood one day and be part of major Arab productions that reach global standards, so strong that we no longer need to reference Western films. I believe the Middle East will become a major global cinematic force, watched and appreciated by both Arab and international audiences.

He opened up about his creative journey, musical identity, and evolving sound in the electronic music scene.
Known for blending atmospheric elements with rich, detailed instrumentation, Fulltone crafts immersive electronic soundscapes by seamlessly layering sweeping strings, percussion, and futuristic synth textures. His signature style continues to define his growing presence in the electronic music scene.
From Architecture to Music
Fulltone reflected on his early beginnings, recalling a pivotal moment around 2004&ndash;2005 when he discovered live music through a local band called Four Sticks, which performed at El Sawy Culturewheel in Zamalek. The experience left a lasting impression and inspired him to pick up the guitar.
At the time, he was studying architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, where he unexpectedly met Sary Hany, a musician he had seen perform. Their connection soon evolved into friendship and collaboration.
&ldquo;It was a full-circle moment,&rdquo; he recalled, explaining how he later joined the same band that first inspired him to play music. Performing in front of large crowds at a young age helped him overcome stage fright and marked the beginning of his journey into production and electronic music.
He added that architecture and music share a deep connection in his mind, describing both as a blend of art and science, where creativity combines with structure, proportion, and discipline.
Creative Process and Inspiration
Balancing architecture and music, Fulltone explained how both fields influence each other. While architecture taught him discipline and adaptability under tight deadlines, music allowed him to explore different genres and expand his artistic vocabulary.
&ldquo;I study everything I work with,&rdquo; he said, noting that each project pushes him to research new styles, from jazz and orchestration to Bedouin rhythms, in order to understand instruments, scales, tempo, and structure.
Describing his project Fulltone as a personal creative space, he said he often experiments freely until ideas naturally evolve into recordings. He avoids forcing creativity, preferring to let ideas emerge organically.
On Creativity and Process
Discussing his workflow, he explained that he rarely works with strict briefs, as he prefers to create first and decide later where the music fits. If one approach doesn&rsquo;t work, he switches instruments or revisits the idea later.
He likened inspiration to fishing, referencing Sting&rsquo;s philosophy that creativity cannot be forced: &ldquo;You throw the line and wait. It&rsquo;s about patience.&rdquo;
AI in Music Production
Fulltone also spoke about experimenting with AI tools in music production, revealing that he recently completed a fresh track that incorporates AI-processed vocals.
&ldquo;I sing the lyrics myself, then use AI tools to transform my voice based on prompts,&rdquo; he explained. While he acknowledged that results vary, he uses the output creatively, chopping and reshaping vocal samples to build new textures.
International Collaborations and Recognition
Throughout his career, Fulltone has collaborated with international artists such as Parallels and Madmotormiquel, and released music on respected labels including All Day I Dream, known for its emotive and melodic soundscapes.
He shared that his connection with the label began through gradual exposure after his music circulated among DJs, eventually leading to recognition and opportunities to perform at international events.
Live Performance and DJing
Fulltone explained that live performances require careful planning, especially regarding duration and logistics. While he can perform live sets for up to 90 minutes, he often combines live performance with DJing depending on the event.
He emphasized the importance of visualizing the atmosphere of a set, ensuring it matches the energy of the audience and the venue.
Looking Ahead
Looking to the future, Fulltone expressed interest in releasing a conceptual album structured in chapters, inspired by vinyl limitations and storytelling formats.
In the coming months, he is scheduled to perform at major festivals in Portugal and Spain, including a mountain-top festival near Porto and a lunar eclipse event in Spain. He also hinted at an upcoming vinyl remix release expected later this summer.

A lot of creatives are changing the game; AI isn&rsquo;t the enemy, it&rsquo;s the new collaborator. Producers are using it to test weird sounds they&rsquo;d never try otherwise. Content creators lean on it to beat blank-page panic or tighten a messy first draft.
Grimes basically set the tone for this mindset. She told fans to go ahead and use AI versions of her voice in their music, just split the royalties if it makes money. No lawsuits, no drama. Just, &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s see what happens.&rdquo;
&nbsp;But then there&rsquo;s the other side. Those viral AI tracks with &ldquo;Drake&rdquo; and &ldquo;The Weeknd&rdquo; last year? Neither artist stepped in a booth. It blew up the whole conversation around consent, identity, and who actually owns a sound.
The Copyright Mess
This is where it gets tense. AI models train on massive amounts of existing work; songs, scripts, paintings, and photos. A lot of it is copyrighted. Most of it was used without permission.
That&rsquo;s why the lawsuits keep coming. The Writers Guild of America drew a hard line during the strikes: AI can&rsquo;t write your screenplay. Human writers stay in control.
Illustrators and photographers are saying the same thing. If your art was used to teach a machine that now generates images in your style, and you weren&rsquo;t asked or paid, that&rsquo;s a problem.&nbsp;
So What&rsquo;s Happening in Egypt?
&nbsp;Cairo&rsquo;s creative scene is already testing the waters. Open TikTok or Instagram and you&rsquo;ll find young Egyptian producers dropping AI-assisted beats, designers using it for quick edits, and digital artists experimenting with new styles.
&nbsp;For a lot of them, AI isn&rsquo;t scary. It&rsquo;s leverage. In a digital economy where speed and volume matter, being able to pitch three solid concepts before noon instead of one by Thursday is a game-changer.
The questions we&rsquo;re still figuring out: Who&rsquo;s teaching people how to use these tools well? Are agencies, labels, and studios ready for how fast this is moving? And if access isn&rsquo;t equal, who gets left behind?
We&rsquo;ve Been Here Before
Every major creative tool started with panic. Photoshop was going to kill photography. Auto-Tune was going to kill real singers. Drum machines were going to kill drummers.
One analyst told the BBC: &ldquo;Every innovation in creative tools starts with fear. Then we realize it just expands what&rsquo;s possible. The human part doesn&rsquo;t disappear, it just moves.&rdquo;
AI can generate, remix, and suggest all day. But it doesn&rsquo;t get obsessed with a weird idea at 2 am. It doesn&rsquo;t have taste. It doesn&rsquo;t have a point of view or a story it needs to tell.

So maybe the question isn&rsquo;t &ldquo;Can AI be creative?&rdquo;

Is AI Replacing Creativity or Supercharging It? How AI Tools Are Changing Music, Art, and Everyday Life

Egypt&rsquo;s Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, has announced the launch of a nationwide medical and ambulance plan for Eid al-Fitr 2026, aimed at ensuring readiness across the health system during the holiday period.
The ministry said more than 700 government hospitals have increased emergency preparedness, with emergency departments and operating theatres functioning around the clock as travel and public gatherings rise.
Ambulance Services and Rapid Response
The plan includes enhanced deployment by the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, with around 3,000 ambulances operating across governorates and an additional 1,200 vehicles positioned at key locations.
Ambulances have been stationed near main roads, public squares, mosques, Eid prayer areas, parks, and other gathering points. Twenty-seven emergency rooms are linked to a central control centre to enable real-time monitoring and dispatch, while regional officials oversee high-traffic areas.

Focus on Major Roads
Authorities say priority has been given to major routes, including the coastal road between Damietta and Matrouh, the Cairo-Alexandria desert road, the agricultural road, as well as routes in South Sinai, the Red Sea, and Upper Egypt.
More than 600 fixed and mobile ambulance points have been deployed along these roads to allow rapid response to accidents.
Hospital Preparedness
Hospitals have also increased capacity in emergency and intensive care units. Around 250 facilities have been designated as primary referral centres on highways, supported by 54 rapid response teams for large-scale incidents.
Blood banks have been supplied with an additional 40,000 units, and medical stocks have been reinforced to meet potential demand.
Public Health Measures
The preventive medicine sector has intensified inspections of more than 35,000 food outlets, including sweet shops, restaurants, hotels, parks, and public transport hubs.
Around 1,200 inspection teams have been deployed to monitor compliance with health and safety standards.

Defining Herself as an Educator
Nesma shared her personal perspective on her role: &ldquo;So I&rsquo;m at the British Council, but how I define myself is as an educator, an education researcher. I&rsquo;ve been working in higher education for 15 years, which technically means research around higher education opportunities within the region, with the aim of informing the UK sector of these opportunities and then bridging, making connections, and building these relationships between the UK, Egypt, and beyond.&rdquo;
When asked why education is such a passion, she said, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always been a lifelong learner. Education is at the core of development, supporting people to find what they&rsquo;re meant to do and helping nations meet their goals. Knowledge is power, regardless of where it comes from.&rdquo;
What is Transnational Education?
The discussion then turned to transnational education (TNE). Nesma explained: &ldquo;Transnational education is when a university in one country offers a programme or a degree in another country, physically moving to meet students where they are. Instead of Egyptian students travelling to get a degree in the UK, the UK institution comes to Egypt and delivers that in-country through different models.&rdquo;
She highlighted the accessibility of this model: &ldquo;This increases access to international education for students who can&rsquo;t travel for personal, family, or financial reasons. You get the benefits of an international degree without ever having to leave home.&rdquo;
Models of Transnational Education
On international branch campuses: &ldquo;This is one of the independent models of transnational education where a university expands to a new country, offering the same programmes and teaching methods, and bringing its expertise into a new context. Students graduate with one international degree that is very similar to what they would receive if they studied abroad.&rdquo;
On joint degrees: &ldquo;Joint degrees are when two universities come together to develop a programme. You have international expertise alongside local knowledge, creating something relevant to students and their context. It&rsquo;s co-created, combining the strengths of both institutions into one degree accredited by both.&rdquo;
On digital learning: &ldquo;This could be fully online learning, where you&rsquo;re in Egypt studying at a university abroad, which is still transnational education. There are also blended models combining online and face-to-face learning, usually involving a local partner and an international partner. The international side may develop the virtual learning environment and resources, while local expertise ensures the content is contextualised. Exams, for example, may take place in Egypt, even if systems are hosted abroad.&rdquo;
Why Egypt is a Key Destination
Egypt has become the fourth-largest host country globally for UK transnational education programmes, with around 38,000 students enrolled. Nesma explained the appeal: &ldquo;Egypt has 3.8 million students in higher education, expected to grow to 5 million by 2030. There&rsquo;s strong demand, and universities in Egypt are keen to partner with international counterparts. Students trust UK institutions, and government strategies highlight internationalisation as a priority.&rdquo;
The Benefits for Students
The advantages extend beyond studying locally. Nesma highlighted global recognition and employability: &ldquo;You get a degree that can be used anywhere in the world without needing revalidation. Students also develop critical thinking, leadership, communication, and intercultural skills that are highly valued by employers.&rdquo;
She also emphasised the British Council&rsquo;s role: &ldquo;We work with governments, institutions, and learners. We help ensure supportive regulations, bring stakeholders together through networking, and guide students on accessing opportunities. Everything we do is research-driven to continuously improve partnerships.&rdquo;

Egypt&rsquo;s Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, has praised the humanitarian and medical achievements of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, highlighting its role in supporting the country&rsquo;s healthcare system and saving thousands of lives.
Speaking on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the importance of partnerships between the government and civil society organizations in strengthening healthcare services across Egypt.

The minister described the foundation as a leading model of charitable medical work in the country and the region, pointing to the achievements of the Aswan Heart Centre. The centre combines advanced medical treatment with scientific research and has provided life-saving care to thousands of children and patients free of charge.
Abdel Ghaffar also noted the upcoming opening of the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre, which is expected to expand access to advanced cardiac research and treatment in Egypt.
He described renowned heart surgeon Magdi Yacoub as a global example of dedication and humanitarian commitment, embodying the spirit of a &ldquo;humanitarian doctor.&rdquo;
For his part, Yacoub expressed appreciation for the government&rsquo;s support, saying the foundation&rsquo;s achievements are driven by a shared belief that everyone deserves access to life-saving treatment, regardless of financial ability. He added that the new Cairo research centre will represent a major step toward building a healthier future for upcoming generations.
