<p>The 81st edition of the Venice Film Festival concluded and the&nbsp;Jury president Isabelle Huppert and her jury awarded many films and filmmakers, with the Spanish auteur,&nbsp;Pedro Almod&oacute;var, winning the most prestigious prize, the Golden Lion, for his English-language&nbsp;full-length debut "The Room Next Door" starring Tilda Swinton&nbsp;and&nbsp;Julianne Moore.&nbsp;</p>
<p>While the spotlight during this edition of the esteemed film festival was on the big blockbuster titles such as "Joker: Folie &agrave; Deux" and "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice", there were many arthouse films that were critically acclaimed after their premieres, such as Brady Corbet's "The Brutalist" and&nbsp;Justin Kurzel's "The Order".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Two Egyptian films managed to win multiple awards at the latest edition of the Venice Film Festival, which is taking place from the 28th of August till the 7th of September.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"My Father&rsquo;s Scent", directed by&nbsp;Mohamed Siam, and starring&nbsp;Ahmed Malek, Kamal El Basha, and Mayan El Sayed, won 5 awards at the festival.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"My Father&rsquo;s Scent" was selected back in July for the Final Cut program, which is a project that takes place on the sidelines&nbsp;of the Venice Film Festival and aims&nbsp;to facilitate the screenings of films that are still in post-production from African and Arab countries in the festival.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"Aisha Can't Fly Away Anymore" also won the Final Cut award, After getting a positive reception when 40 minutes of the movie were screened during the festival.&nbsp;</p>
<p>This is the first feature-length movie for Morad Mostafa, who previously directed the internationally acclaimed short film "I Promise You Paradise", which was screened during the Critic's Week at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Marvel's R-rated smash hit added $15.2 million domestically this week,&nbsp;and it&rsquo;s expected to cross the domestic $600 million mark following Monday&rsquo;s Labor Day holiday, which will make it one of the&nbsp;only 16 titles to achieve that milestone.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Belgian-Egyptian singer/songwriter, Tamino, returned to Egypt once again in his highly anticipated concert, to conclude the tour of his sophomore album &ldquo;Sahar&rdquo; in the main garden of the AUC Tahrir Square.</p>
<p>After the show got sold out in no time, a second show was added on the next day, where Tamino&rsquo;s majestic tunes and atmospheric music blended in with the historical and magical place he was performing at, with a setlist that included many of his most popular and beloved songs, such as &ldquo;The Flame&rdquo;, &ldquo;The First Disciple&rdquo;, &ldquo;Indigo Night&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Habibi&rdquo;.</p>
<p><em>Nile FM got the chance to chitchat with Tamino and delve deeper into his sophomore album and his returning to Egypt.&nbsp;</em></p>

<p><strong>This is your second time performing in Egypt, how does it feel like to come back here?</strong></p>
<p>"I&rsquo;m honored, and I was nervous last night, and I think I will be nervous tonight as well. Usually, I don&rsquo;t get nervous anymore, so I think it means something, I think it&rsquo;s just because I really wanna do extra well for Egypt.</p>
<p>Even though I lived here for 2 years&hellip;but I didn&rsquo;t really grow up here, still it feels like home, it&rsquo;s the country of my father, it&rsquo;s a country that I wanna explore more throughout my life, I wanna learn the language. I&rsquo;ve been saying that for years but I&rsquo;m actually learning a bit.</p>
<p>It means a lot to also bring my band and my crew here because a lot of them have never been in here, last time we had a smaller band and crew.</p>
<p>It&rsquo;s great on many levels."</p>
<p><strong>Since recording each album is its own unique experience, what was unique about recording &ldquo;Sahar&rdquo;?</strong></p>
<p>"The time in which it was recorded, I think for everybody it was a weird time, because of the pandemic and everything.</p>
<p>When the album came out I didn&rsquo;t want it to be stamped as a lockdown record, it&rsquo;s just my second record, I didn&rsquo;t want it to be bound forever with the pandemic, but then looking at it now, it of course affected it, immensely.</p>
<p>I was not on tour anymore, I was home for a long time, it was such a change in my life, my life changed very drastically."</p>

<p><strong>The majority of the album was recorded during the pandemic, did that affect the sound or the subject matter of the album?</strong></p>
<p>"For sure, because I think in terms of the subject matter, I think all of these songs are quite reflective, because it was a reflective time for probably many people, as we could look at our life from another perspective.</p>
<p>And because I was not on big stages anymore at that time, and usually in my room writing songs, that&rsquo;s probably why the record sounds quite roomy, instead of big like the first one [Amir], which was recorded in-between touring, we would tour a week and then we would be home for a week. If I was not on the stage, I was in the studio, and the experience from the stage would influence our time in the studio, cause we would think about the show we just played for a lot of people.</p>
<p>Also those years before &ldquo;Amir&rdquo; included the first shows that I ever did for big crowds, before releasing &ldquo;Habibi&rdquo;, I was playing in pubs, like small gigs, and let&rsquo;s say if I started recording my debut album then it wouldn&rsquo;t have sounded that big, because I couldn&rsquo;t imagine being in front of a big crowd like that."</p>
<p><strong>Your debut album &ldquo;Amir&rdquo; is titled after your first name, why did you choose the title &ldquo;Sahar&rdquo; for your second album?</strong></p>
<p>"Because of that state of reflection in the subject matter.</p>
<p>I asked my father is that a good title? and he said &ldquo;Yeah yeah, it&rsquo;s a first name, a lot of people will think it&rsquo;s about a girl&rdquo; but it means just before dawn, which is this nice in-limbo, transitional moment, sort of an in-between realm, and to me that album sits in that world.</p>

<p><strong>You&rsquo;ve mentioned before that Colin Greenwood has been part of your band, and he&rsquo;s also been a big part of this album, so can you tell us more about your experience working with him?</strong></p>
<p>So firstly, they [Radiohead] were a huge influence as a band, and when I met him [Colin Greenwood], I wouldn&rsquo;t have dreamt of actually working with him, but then was so kind and so open, and I just felt I can really ask him to play on this song, I didn&rsquo;t dare to do more than one, and he said, &ldquo;Yeah, of course&rdquo;.</p>
<p>And when he came to the studio he was nervous, he was more nervous than we were, and we were already quite nervous, because Colin was coming to the studio, but he nailed it of course as you can hear in &ldquo;Indigo Night&rdquo;, I love that bassline.</p>
<p>One thing led to another, and we just asked him to play some songs in a gig, and he learned how to play them all, and before we knew it he was in our band, he was just with us on tour, and then when we started recording &ldquo;Sahar&rdquo; it was just very clear to us that we had to get into the studio with Colin and Ruben [Vanhoutte], and then we included other musicians, but that was the core, Ruben, Colin and me."</p>
<p><strong>Oud is such a prominent instrument in &ldquo;Sahar&rdquo;; why did you include it specifically?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;Because it was the instrument I was studying really hard at that time. I used the pandemic to really dive deep into it, and actually, my teacher is with us. He&rsquo;s playing on stage with us tonight. It was the instrument I picked up first in the morning every day. Two years before the pandemic, I already started playing a bit, but always in between touring, and I never really got the time to go at it. There were some songs that would have never been there without the instrument like &ldquo;The First Disciple&rdquo;. It started with an oud melody, I was playing a melody of the chorus and I really liked it, then I started playing the guitar on top of that melody and that became the song. I think I can incorporate the instrument way more in future songs.&rdquo;</p>

<p><strong>Where do you usually draw inspiration from?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;From all over. When I write a new song, it is all about starting the work because if I wait for inspiration, nothing really comes. I really have to start working, and then hope for it to come. I do think that in the end, stories really inspire me. I love reading and love narrative. Somehow, it is like you&rsquo;re leading a second life, like a portal to this other dimension. I feel like that can bleed into your work, more than music even, for me.</p>
<p>Music is of course a huge inspiration for me, but also the narrative in my own life and the experiences and the way my life unfolds and the way I can have new experiences, that really is important to me. For example, living in Antwerp in Belgium, but in two weeks, I am moving to New York because I need a new place. New York, for me, I&rsquo;ve been exploring it a bit and I always felt sad when I had to leave because I felt like there&rsquo;s so much more to explore.</p>
<p>So for now that&rsquo;s a good place for me to be in I think, and I will always listen to that. I always wanna be searching. I&rsquo;ve also realized that the artists that inspire me the most are the artists that search throughout their whole life as they keep an open mind and they never arrive, they&rsquo;re never there. They always keep looking and they&rsquo;re curious, that means sometimes having to leave your comfort zone because if you&rsquo;re too comfortable as an artist, I don&rsquo;t think this art comes from that. I think it is important to face your fears and indulge in them.&rdquo;</p>
<p><strong>You&rsquo;ve collaborated with Belgian singer/songwriter Angele on your track &ldquo;Sunflower&rdquo;, which marks your first collab, why specifically did you choose to collaborate with her?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;Because we are friends. For me, it is very abstract to ask somebody that I don&rsquo;t know yet, so it was just something that very naturally happened in the pandemic where we got to know each other better a bit better. And when I wrote that song my mind just went to her because we already had the connection. Apart from that, I really love her voice and I love her work, it&rsquo;s a very different world from mine of course.</p>
<p>I think, therefore, even more interesting to see the contrast between the worlds and to see them come together, but I think in the future, if I ever collaborate with other people, for me, it&rsquo;s important to get to know them as it&rsquo;s very weird to step into the studio and start working immediately because I don&rsquo;t know them. I hope that in New York maybe I will meet some people that I will wanna work with eventually after of course we hang out and have fun together.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Jordanian actress Rakeen Saad is known for her shapeshifting abilities to transform as an actress from role to role. Behind Rakeen&rsquo;s dazzling performance is a journey that has spanned more than 10 years. She has been part of the most popular projects including, &ldquo;Rivo,&rdquo; &ldquo;El Rawabi School For Girls,&rdquo; and most recently, the trending show &ldquo;Safah El Giza&rdquo;.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Safah El Giza,&rdquo; follows Ahmed Fahmy, who embodies the character of Gaber, the serial killer with rigid features and a steady hand in killing. We also follow Zeina, played by Rakeen Saad, who is a girl who dreams of being a successful actress. As the story of both characters intertwined, Zeina falls into the claws of Giza&rsquo;s most dangerous serial killer, Gaber.</p>
<p>In a special interview, Rakeen takes us through that journey and into the depths of her latest project &ldquo;Safah El Giza&rdquo;.</p>

<p><strong>How did you get ready for your role as Zeina in Safah El Giza?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;I read the script and I sat down with Hady El Bagoury, the director, Ahmed Fahmi, and Ingy Abu el Seoud for table reads to discuss the character&rsquo;s details, what are her motifs and what is real and what is not. We did lots of trials with stylist Reem El Adl and make-up artist, Amr Abdullah to reach what&rsquo;s best for Zeina.</p>
<p>Also, on a personal level, I read a lot, researched more, and practiced with my acting coach Rana Rawaya to improve my physicality and help understand her motifs.&rdquo;</p>

<p><strong>How were you able to sympathize and find the human in Ahmed Fahmi&rsquo;s character Gaber, Safah El Giza?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;Zeina&rsquo;s character is split into two parts:&nbsp; the one inside Gaber or Mohy&rsquo;s mind and the real one. With the help of Hady El Bagoury&rsquo;s direction, I found myself able to understand both characters, and I was able to understand which Zeina am I playing. The real one or the made-up one. This was a challenge, but a very fun one.</p>
<p>The thing is Gaber believes that Zeina is sympathetic towards him, but that&rsquo;s not true. She&rsquo;s not. Zeina makes it very clear that she doesn&rsquo;t understand him and doesn&rsquo;t want anything to do with him.</p>
<p>He manipulated her and she was pushed by her belief that she deserved more and that she was stuck in a place that had no chances for her. That&rsquo;s the main reason she believed Mohy and that&rsquo;s when she became the victim. She&rsquo;s rebellious by nature and wants to be seen and get the attention she thinks she deserves. Mohy saw that she was young and she dreamed big and used that against her.&rdquo;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Recently, you&rsquo;ve been working with a lot of streaming-services-based projects, how do you feel towards streaming services and what makes them special?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m really happy to work with streaming services because this is the natural progression of media. What makes it special is that we had time to perfect the scenes. I didn&rsquo;t feel pressured because of a set time frame like in the Ramadan season. Also, the idea that an audience can binge-watch a show, and have the full control to play and stop it, is amazing. That&rsquo;s an interrelation between streaming services and TV, now you can access TV series on streaming services at your own pace.&rdquo;</p>

<p><strong>Can you describe your characters (Noaf- Zeina- Mariam) in a few words?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;Noaf is a unique character and a very smart one. Zeina is a rebellious spirit with a sensitive personality and she&rsquo;s also both a dreamer and a victim. On the other hand, Mariam&rsquo;s character is really close to mine. She is really close to my heart. I believe she&rsquo;s an emotional character, who is also stubborn yet sensitive.&rdquo;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Previously, you&rsquo;ve acted in serval languages and accents. Which of these accents are you most familiar with and comfortable with?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;My mother tongue, the Jordanian language, is where I feel most comfortable as I can express myself the most. However, in general, I really like to experiment with accents. At this very moment, I&rsquo;m also very familiar with the Egyptian accent and I&rsquo;m used to it by now.&rdquo;</p>

<p><strong>You&rsquo;ve collaborated with some of the biggest names and some of the most successful projects, do you consider yourself a lucky person, existing at the right time in the right place, or a very calculated person?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;Of course, I feel like I hit the Jackpot and that I&rsquo;m extremely lucky to be able to work on such projects with huge names. I&rsquo;ve learned a lot from them and am very thankful to be part of the Egyptian film industry.&rdquo;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Which celebrities would you love to work and collaborate with?</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;s a long list! The people I worked with already are much less than those I want to work with. I don&rsquo;t wanna name names because this is just the beginning of the road.</p>
<p>Currently, I&rsquo;m in the middle of a few very exciting projects and I&rsquo;m thrilled to talk about them. I should add that there might be a huge surprise very soon so stay tuned. I can&rsquo;t get into much detail but it&rsquo;s a movie and a TV show.&rdquo;</p>

Exclusive Interview With Rakeen Saad “Safah El Giza” Star

<p>Award-winning comic artist Deena Mohamed celebrated the release of the English version of &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; with a book signing and a discussion, in which she talked about her journey translating her highly-acclaimed debut graphic novel and the obstacles she faced while translating the deep-rooted Egyptian cultural nuances in order to reach English-speaking readers.</p>
<p>After her success with the webcomic series, &ldquo;Qahera&rdquo;, Deena Mohamed's debut novel&nbsp;&ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; was awarded Best Graphic Novel and the Grand Prize of the Cairo Comix Festival in 2017. &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; was originally released in Arabic and split into 3 parts, before getting picked up by the esteemed publishing house, Pantheon Books, which is responsible for publishing many distinguished graphic novels, such as &ldquo;Persepolis&rdquo;, &ldquo;Habibi&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Maus&rdquo;.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; embraces and celebrates the kiosk culture while fusing it with urban fantasy in a whimsical alternate version of Egypt where wishes can be purchased. The story follows 3 individuals from radically different backgrounds: Aziza, Nour, and Shokry, who are only linked by a modest Kiosk where the three of them buy a first-class wish from.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The Genesis Of &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo;</strong></span></p>
<p>Deena explained that her admiration for the Egyptian kiosk culture was the starting point for &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo;, she said, &ldquo;Originally I wanted to write a story about Kiosks, I wanted to draw them actually, more than to write about them, and I wanted to write a story that was more based on fantasy because I have just finished doing a webcomic and the webcomic was very satirical and I wanted to do something that was more of a narrative, more of a longer story. When I started with "Shubeik Lubeik". She added, &ldquo;I wanted to do a kiosk and I wanted it to sell a magical object, and then I thought of a wish, and then I had to think of what kind of a world where you could sell a wish in.&rdquo;</p>
<p>The meticulous world-building of &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; was an easier task for Deena to create, but bringing it all to life was the real challenge, Deena said, &ldquo;I just came up with the world and then I put the rules for it and I came up with the story, it was like in three hours I outlined all of it and then I spent six years drawing it. You always pay for your ideas.&rdquo;</p>
<p>&ldquo;It was from the beginning I knew that the Kiosk would be the link between the stories.&rdquo; Deena said, &ldquo;When I was coming up with the concept of wishes I was thinking of what people would wish for, so I immediately was thinking about grief, and then I was thinking about happiness, and I was thinking about health, so I already know what the stories are going to be about.&rdquo;</p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The Expansion Of &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo;</strong></span></p>
<p>The first version of &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; which Deena self-published in 2017, went through many changes over the years, with added pages expanding the story, Deena explained that by saying, &ldquo;In terms of editorial, the first part you can kind of see it grow because when I self-published it, it was around 80 pages, and then when I published it with Dar El-Mahrousa after it won the award, it was 120 pages because the award was a residency in France with other comic artists. When I went to France I realized that other comics artists put a lot of effort into their work and I was kind of jealous, and I felt like I could do better, so I decided to go back and add maybe 30-40 pages, and then for the English [version] I added another 20 pages.&rdquo;</p>
<p>She also talked about why the first part was the one that got the most expansion of the three, &ldquo;From the stories&rsquo; perspective, the first part was so hard to reach the final edition for it, but the second and third parts were very planned, so the third part nothing changed in the English [version] because I had already put in my maximum effort for the Arabic [version]. In the second part, there are a few changes in the English [version] but it&rsquo;s also not that significant. So actually I&rsquo;m interested now in the people who have read the Arabic [version], how they feel about the English [version].&ldquo;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The Journey Of Publishing &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo;</strong></span></p>
<p>Deena talked about her journey of publishing her debut novel, and how strenuous it is to pursue a career in such a niche market &ldquo;You still can&rsquo;t make a living publishing graphic novels, so the only reason I was able to publish &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; in Arabic was because of the translation. I actually sold the translation before I sign the contract with El-Mahrousa in Egypt.&rdquo; Then she added, &ldquo;We have several really amazing Egyptian comic artists here, and they also have to sell translations or get a grant in order to finish [making] graphic novels in Arabic. Some people can draw a page a day, and some people take a week to draw a page, so if you imagine how long it takes to draw a graphic novel, it&rsquo;s a very time-intensive task and it needs a lot of money actually&rdquo;.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Translating &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; &amp; The Decision To Keep It From Right-To-Left</strong></span></p>
<p>Deena also shared her taxing experience of translating &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo;, she said, &ldquo;Translating is really hard because when I was writing the Arabic parts I wasn&rsquo;t thinking about how I would translate it, it was a problem for my future self, so I didn&rsquo;t really consider how difficult it&rsquo;s going to be because they [the characters] speak in lots of different dialects and there&rsquo;s a lot of localized things in it."</p>
<p>The English &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; isn&rsquo;t published like the traditional from-left-to-right English graphic novels, but it&rsquo;s read from right to left just like its Arabic counterpart, Denna talked about what led her to this decision saying, &ldquo;Keeping it right to left for me was important because when I was translating it, I realized that it&rsquo;s always going to feel like a translation, and I liked that.&rdquo; She continued, &ldquo;When I read manga or when I watch something that is subtitled I like the feeling that it&rsquo;s translated. Like no one reads manga and thinks it&rsquo;s originally in English like you know it&rsquo;s originally in Japanese and you can tell it&rsquo;s a translation and you still enjoy it, so I wanted to keep the same feeling, that you know it&rsquo;s a translation but you still enjoy it&rdquo;.</p>
<p>She also talked about how she convinced Pantheon of that decision, &ldquo;I asked Pantheon if we can keep it right to left and they actually didn&rsquo;t mind at all. They kind of care about the production a lot, Pantheon has published a lot of nice looking books, and they&rsquo;ve also published a lot of Japanese hardcover books and they published them from right to left, so it wasn&rsquo;t too difficult to convince them&rdquo;.</p>
<p>However, the most crucial reason for keeping the graphic novel from right to left was the Arabic calligraphy, Deena clarified, &ldquo;The short answer for why I had to keep it from right to left is because the wishes in &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo; are made of Arabic calligraphy, and you can&rsquo;t flip it", she continued, &ldquo;the flow of the story kept stopping at the wishes, so I think that&rsquo;s part of the decision to keep it right-to-left, and I think it made a big difference, even in the way people receive it, it&rsquo;s like a novelty to them.&rdquo;</p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The Difference Between The Reception Of The Arabic &amp; The English Versions</strong></span></p>
<p>When Deena was asked about the difference between the reception of the book in the Eastern and Western cultures, she replied, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve learned through my career so far to stop predicting my audience because I will always think people will receive it in a certain way. I was aware, at least for the Arabic [version], I know what people like about it because it&rsquo;s been 3 parts and we have conversations about it, especially at Cairo Comix I see how people react to it every year, people message me online all the time about what they think of this part or that part. For the Arabic [version], people focus on the story more, they tend to focus on the characters, and the wishes, and the events, in the English [version] there were a lot of discussions about the infographics, so like the world itself.&rdquo;</p>
<p>She also opened up about her worries that English-speaking readers will face some sort of cultural barrier, she said, &ldquo;Before the English version came out I was definitely a little nervous because I was worried that the English-speaking readers wouldn&rsquo;t like it the same way the Egyptian readers would. It shouldn&rsquo;t be a good Egyptian comic; it should just be a good comic.&rdquo; Then she added, &ldquo;That was the part right before it came out, but now it&rsquo;s been out for a while and I know that people who have no experience with Egypt, or people who have no familiarity with the characters or the story still enjoy it, so I feel like in this part it worked out.&rdquo;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What&rsquo;s Next For Deena Mohamed After &ldquo;Shubeik Lubeik&rdquo;?</strong></span></p>

<p><strong>A Brief About "El Dahih":</strong></p>
<p>Ahmed El Ghandour is a well-known Egyptian YouTuber and content creator, best known for his online persona &ldquo;Al-Dahih&rdquo;, who is a heavy researcher, specified in the field of the simplification of science in an easy and fun way to grab the audience&rsquo;s attention. He succeeded to do so and has created a huge fanbase.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Ahmed El Ghandour began his career by sharing his videos on YouTube in 2014, he explained that &ldquo;The idea came to me from my participation in a scientific competition at the British Embassy, where we presented a scientific idea in three minutes, and I was asked by many of the attendees to make videos on YouTube".</p>
<p>"El Dahih's" name quickly became a household name, and he was shortlisted for the 2019 IBC International Award for Most Influential Youth in Media.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>The live show was hosted in Zed Park, El Sheikh Zayed. For his first live show, Ahmed El Ghandour chose to talk about the concept of &ldquo;The Theory of Everything&rdquo;, which is a hypothetical equation that would explain the physics of the entire world and defines the cosmological structure of the universe&rdquo;. Such a theory was the focus of two of the most famous scientist and geniuses Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. He also explained the components of the atoms and how scientists were able to break the universe into the tiniest building units.&nbsp;</p>
<p>With a very detailed and animated presentation, El Ghandour was able to simplify such heavy and complex topics in a way that allows all types of audiences to comprehend them easily.</p>

<p>A few of the attendees expressed that they prefer it when the subject is history-based and not science-oriented, and when asked about the reason why he chose this topic as his first live show topic, he explained that he genuinely loves physics and has always been fascinated with the amount of knowledge and understanding that comes with learning physics, and that's why he wanted to honor his favorite topic.</p>
<p>El Ghandour also promised the audience that there is going to be lots of new content and projects and that he is doing his very best to produce useful and time-worthy videos. The audience greeted this news with enthusiasm and cheers.&nbsp;</p>

A Recap Of "El Dahih’s" First-Ever Live Show In Egypt

<p>Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, inaugurated the thirty-third edition of the Youth Salon, entitled "Art...The Horizon of The Future" at the Palace of Arts in the Cairo Opera House.</p>
<p>This edition includes 167 artists, with a total number of 187 artworks in various fields of arts, from photography to painting to sculpting to plastic arts. The participating artists compete for cash prizes.</p>

<p><strong>"Look At Me"&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>One of the projects, titled "Look At Me" was built by Mohamed Osama and was constructed as a child mannequin, attached to it was a computer screen and a camera with a sensor that turns the screen on when someone looks directly at it.&nbsp; The idea behind this project is the ever-growing gap between parents and their children. The child, represented by the mannequin, is screaming for attention and does not interact with others except when he receives the attention he longs for, represented in the screen that only lights up when looked directly at it. The screen showcases a series of videos that reflects the inner feelings that the child is feeling, like confusion or fear. When not looked directly at it, the screen goes static.</p>

<p><strong>&nbsp;&ldquo;Made In Dreams&rdquo;</strong></p>
<p>Another project entitled &ldquo;Made In Dreams&rdquo; by Hagar Barakat, is made out of a box that has two wheels on both sides and a hole to look through in the middle of it. As you look at it, you turn both wheels that switch different images inside the box. When you find the two photos that best represent you, you&rsquo;ll get a decoded message that explains the reason behind your choice. When asked about the inspiration behind her project, Hagar explained that &ldquo;I have relied on my imagination and love for surrealism to make me happy, and this is exactly what I wanted to transfer to people. I wanted to give them a glimpse of how my mind works. By giving them a series of images to choose from, then helping them understand the reason behind their choice gives them a satisfaction that I am happy to give&rdquo;.</p>

<p><strong>Legos And Instruments</strong></p>
<p>Mohamed Medhat took part in the exhibition with his surreal painting, made out of absurd creatures either holding lego pieces or musical instruments or sometimes both. Medhat explained that he usually uses the symbolism of the legos to resemble a new step that one takes to become a better person and reach your dream. The idea behind the painting is that the people you look up to are exactly the people who are distracting you from your goals and this is the negative impact of comparing. Also, the metaphor of the music in the painting is representative of the idea of &ldquo;focusing&rdquo; and being a one-minded-no-distraction kind of person and not falling into the negative effect of comparing yourself to others.</p>

<p><strong>The Holiness Of A Family Bond</strong></p>
<p>Enjy Gamal contributed to the exhibition with a one-of-a-kind photo that encompasses a couple in a tight alley heading toward the &ldquo;light&rdquo;. The light here represented the holiness that the church and it represented their bond and the vows they once took &ldquo;till death do us part&rdquo;. The usage of blacks and whites, with all the shades of grey in between, gives the photo a sense of universalization.</p>

<p>Acclaimed&nbsp;English singer-songwriter, Adele announced in her latest live show that she will be taking a long break from music after the remaining ten shows of her Vegas residency.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A video recorded by a fan surfaced online, showed the 36-year-old artist saying, "I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now.&rdquo; She said, &ldquo;I want to live the life that I&rsquo;ve been building and I will miss you terribly".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mariah Carey released a statement stating that her mother Patricia and sister Alison passed away on the same day.</p>
<p>Carey said in the statement, "My heart is broken that I&rsquo;ve lost my mother this past weekend", she continued, "Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day&rdquo;</p>
<p>The Grammy-winning singer also stated that she felt very fortunate to have seen her mother the week before she passed away.</p>
<p>Carey didn't elaborate on the reason for the death of her mother or her sister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Amr Selim, the organizer of Egypt International Boat Show, was NileFM's guest On "The Big Breakfast" with Rob and Nadine and he told us all about the highly anticipated upcoming Egypt International Boat Show.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Your business background includes being the founder and publisher of two leading magazines, can you tell us more about how these magazines came about?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Actually, I used to play Taekwondo, and I'm honored to be one of Egypt's world champions, I used to travel with my colleagues to the world championships, and we would return back to Egypt with glory and victory.</p>
<p>At that time the media wasn't as big as today so there wasn't enough recognition in the media, so I said to myself Egypt should have a publication or a media that covers all types of sports, especially individual sports where Egypt can score medals at the Olympics and international events, so I started "Sports &amp; Fitness" at 1994, and then 5 years later I found that there are no publications for men in Egypt, so I decided to start "He" magazine in 1999, as the first lifestyle magazine for men.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Your very first boat show was organized back in 2007 and it ran for 5 years consecutively until 2011, why did you decide to bring back Egypt International Boat Show now?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>If you allow me, I have to say how we started first. As I mentioned I'm the publisher of "Sports &amp; Fitness" magazine, we write about boating, sailing, yachting, and water sports, so we have very good contact with this field and this industry in Egypt, and we noticed the growth and the progress of this market.&nbsp;</p>
<p>My partner in organizing the Egypt International Boat Show, Ahmed Allam, is the founder and chairman of Art Line for organizing international exhibitions. We both found an opportunity to start this show, and he is one of the experts who has all the logistics, knowledge, and experience, by the way, he is the one who did the&nbsp;Automech car show, the biggest car show in Egypt. We also have a very good contact with the boat dealers, owners, also media, and marketing, so together we came up with the first edition in 2007.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The last edition was in January 2011, after that the market wasn't really stable to do another show, but last year and early this year, we started receiving calls and requests from the boat dealers in Egypt and the local boat manufacturers, and they started asking us to do another exhibition, and we felt like it's a good time to go back again, this is in same the time that Egypt government is also paying a lot of attention to yachting tourism, and the prime minister himself has conducted several conferences and panel talks to improve and to promote yachting tourism, and Egypt started to offer a lot facilities for boat owners to attract them to the harbors and marinas in Egypt.&nbsp;</p>
<p>So we decided to do our sixth edition, at the same time we received a request from&nbsp;Marassi, to conduct our sixth edition on their premises on the North Coast, in the beautiful, elegant resort.</p>
<p>Marassi is considered to be one of the most luxurious places in the whole region and North Africa, and it's well-known to everybody. We thought it was a good chance to come back again and do our sixth edition there.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Can you tell us more about the upcoming sixth edition of the exhibition?&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Our last 5 editions were conducted in the Cairo Convention Center, which is indoor, but this time it's going to be in Marassi from the 11th to the 14th of July, it will be for the first time ever in Egypt on land, and on water as well.</p>
<p>For the first time real and serious potential buyers can go for sea trials, also in addition to the many exhibitors from Egypt, we have international participants, so when we say it's Egypt international boat show, it is an international boat show.</p>
<p>We have boat dealers and agents from the Gulf and Europe who are participating in the show and don't have yet an agent in Egypt, so this is their first time to join a boat show in Egypt, or to show their boats in Egypt.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>How exactly has the Suez Canal got involved with Egypt International Boat Show?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>It's very interesting because they approached us, which means they're keeping a good eye on the important events related to them. They're giving us great support not only in sponsoring the event, but they also offered, for the first time I believe, a huge discount for the boat and yachts crossing the canal, and they're also giving them free facilities if the boats stayed at any of their marinas.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Also the Ministry of Tourism, they're giving us a big support and inviting a lot of world media to cover and join the event, which of course will enhance the event a lot.</p>
<p>Egypt Air isn't only participating as a sponsor but they offer big discounts on flights from anywhere in the world to the show, to facilitate the visits of foreigners and people coming from abroad.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>Everybody is working hard to make it a successful event, and our goal in the end is to make this exhibition an international event, where Egypt can be recognized in the world of yachting tourism.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>What's the next step for Egypt International Boat Show?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>We already received different offers and requests to conduct the show in other interesting places, we are studying carefully all the offers and chances, and we also thinking big by going international with this event, outside Egypt, maybe in one of our neighboring countries.&nbsp;</p>
<p>We have good plans for the future, but we are now focusing hard on the event, cause there are only a few days left.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>If someone wants to come to the show, and they have never been to anything like this before, what can they expect from the show?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>It's very interesting to be in a boat show, it's different. Even if you can't buy a boat or own a boat, you feel happy during the time you're spending there, and this of course for the people who are not into buying boats, but this event is the perfect time and place for anyone who wants to buy a new boat or renew their boat, and find out what's new and interesting in this industry.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Can you tell us more about the concept of Travco Holidays and your role in it?</strong></p>
<p>I started in the business in 1982, which was before the internet time, and traveling was completely different back then, people were calling by phone and sending letters.</p>
<p>I was in the travel business starting from no internet to the Internet, fax, Email, mobile phones, and online payments</p>
<p>Hotels tried to steal our clients and ask you to book directly with them, to try to cut down the middle person, so if we as travel agencies were not adapting to advanced technologies then the competition is not going to be fair for us.</p>
<p>That&rsquo;s why Travco Holidays is updating their mobile application, they&rsquo;re focusing more on online presence, and they have loyalty programs, and installment plans, to be able to attract clients so we acquire more market share.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Can you tell us more about traveling inside Egypt and how Travco Holidays can help with that?</strong></p>
<p>I think the national carrier in Egypt has announced that they&rsquo;ll have weekly flights to the North Coast, this will create a lot of connectivity and it&rsquo;s an easy way to arrive at the destination you want. Some destinations in the Red Sea actually have flights one or two times a day, and some other destinations have 2 to 3 flights a day, and in order to connect all those places together you have to have more frequency in the flights, which means that you need to offer an easy and cheaper way to fly at any time of the day.</p>
<p>The major airports are located in Marsa Alam, which is deep south, and then you have Hurghada, then Sharm El-Sheikh, so if there will be an agreement that more carriers, especially the low-cost carries which arrive at Sphinx airport, that can continue the journey to serve the domestic flights, It will allow people to travel cheaper and more frequently.</p>
<p>The difference between the low-cost carrier and the legacy carrier is that on the legacy carrier, you can have a meal, you can have a drink, and you can have bags, in low-cost carriers you fly without bags, and you pay for your bags.</p>
<p>Going back to Egypt, connectivity helps people to travel more easily because driving is not the best option all the time, driving also is dependent on the traffic and the roads, especially on holidays, flights for sure going to be more expensive, but it we allowed low-cost to fly within Egypt it will amazing.</p>
<p>Egypt has a lot of variety, especially if we talk about New Alamein city, it&rsquo;s becoming more and more popular, a lot of people come from neighboring countries by low-cost flights, they arrive at Sphinx airport and they drive exactly 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach new Alamein, which has a lot of international brands, many Egyptian restaurants, and a lot of events.</p>
<p><strong>Dubai is seen as a huge innovative city, and everyone is going there as a popular holiday destination, what is your opinion about Dubai?</strong></p>
<p>Some destinations you go to one time and you say &ldquo;One time is enough&rdquo;, Dubai is the kind of destination that you visit and feel like one time isn&rsquo;t enough, it&rsquo;s an incredible destination that offers something for everyone.</p>
<p>It&rsquo;s perfect for friends and families, when we talk about Dubai we talk about safety, also one of the easiest things to do is to obtain a visa for Dubai, and the Dubai government is putting a lot of varieties to obtain visas.</p>
<p>So I guess it&rsquo;s a place that has it all, you have the fine dining, you have the roads, you have the unmissable attractions, the varieties are endless.</p>
<p><strong>What are the go-to attractions to visit in Dubai?</strong></p>
<p>Burj Khalifa, without a doubt, the structure of it is bigger than 3 Eiffel tours, it&rsquo;s 154 stories, it has an amazing view to see the fountain, and if you go by Christmas time you&rsquo;ll see all the fireworks, and you go up you see the highlights of Dubai, the old cultural park, the new towers, and of course the Palms. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Also the museum of the future, it has a very unique design, it&rsquo;s one of the most amazing buildings that you can see in your life, there&rsquo;s nothing like it, and the symbolism behind it is even more impressive, it&rsquo;s shaped as a circle that represents humanity, and then the mound represents earth, and the void represents unknown.</p>
<p>That is one of those places that you need to book online ahead of time because it was opened recently in 2022, so it&rsquo;s better to book ahead because it&rsquo;s very crowded, and even if you can&rsquo;t enter the museum you can still check out the lobby which looks like you&rsquo;re walking in the future. It&rsquo;s a monument that you need to visit with your family because it&rsquo;s a trip to the future.</p>
<p><strong>Can you tell us more about The Golden Frame and the Three Artificial Islands?</strong></p>
<p>The golden frame can be seen from any place in Dubai, and it actually connects Dubai's past and present, from one side of the building you&rsquo;ll see old Dubai where it all started, and on the other side you&rsquo;ll see the most futuristic city in the world, so it&rsquo;s a gate that represents that past and the future.</p>
<p>As you know, there are 3 artificial islands at the cost of Dubai, the biggest one is Palm Jumeirah, which goes 5 kilometers in the depth of the Arabian Gulf, it took them 6 years to build this Atlantis in the Palms, so it's a huge project, it's a record-breaker.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>If someone going to Dubai for a stopover holiday, where should they go?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>The national carrier of Emirates offers this kind of service if you're not necessarily flying to the Emirates, but you're flying somewhere across the Atlantic or the Far East, they give you the option to make a stopover in Dubai.&nbsp;</p>
<p>There are a variety of options in Dubai, there's the mall of the itinerary that takes people directly to Burj Khalifa, so you can enjoy the start of the day and have lunch there, you can also visit Dubai Mall and visit the shops, the aquarium, and the unbelievable zoo, the next day you can go see the fountain, and by night you need to try Dubai cruise, which offers a unique dining experience.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Can you tell us more about the 5-year multiple-entry visa for Dubai?</strong></p>
<p>Dubai is one of those destinations where it's very easy to obtain a visa, the number of documents needed for the visa is minimal.</p>
<p>Starting from the emergency visa, which lasts for 1 to 3 days, and there's the one-month visa which is the most common one.&nbsp;</p>
<p>For businessmen who established companies in Dubai, the government of Dubai offers an option for an extended-stay visa, which goes up to 5 years. I believe that a country or a government to think this way and encourage people to come over and extend their stay indicates that there are plenty of investments, and it gives you an idea about how this destination is welcoming visitors and how it's safe, clean, and fast-growing.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>What is the concept of Efreshli and how does it work?</strong></p>
<p>Efreshli is an online platform that makes interior design accessible, the idea is that anybody can have elevated and affordable designs, no matter what their style or budget. We created it about 5 years ago and it has grown now to have over 150 local brands, so it merges between technology and professional designers to have a much wider base of customers.</p>
<p>The idea of Efreshli is that people can see so many different brands on social media, but it&rsquo;s extremely fragmented, and there&rsquo;s still no solution for them to be able to do everything in one place, and Efreshli aggregates that as it showcases different brands on the platform, and it makes it much easier for the customer to go through a seamless process from beginning to end.</p>
<p>What we recognized was that not everybody has access to interior designers, so if you want to hire an interior designer, you probably have to spend a lot of money, so this - Efreshli - is for people who wouldn&rsquo;t normally go to an interior designer.</p>
<p>The packages are extremely affordable, so we have from the mini which is 2,000 pounds for a room, to the premium which is 12,000 pounds for a room, and what you have is a professional designer who helps you with their expertise, but also the technology which makes the whole process a lot more automated, you get the design online, a lot of the interactions are happening online, which make it a lot more seamless.</p>
<p><strong>Tell us more about the upcoming furniture exhibition &ldquo;District 5 Home by Efreshli&rdquo;, and what makes it different than other furniture exhibitions?</strong></p>
<p>The idea of "District 5 Home by Efreshli" is to have a place that is more intimate and curated, so when you go in you recognize those brands, we choose different brands big, small, and luxurious side by side to help customers furnish their homes.</p>
<p>The fair is extremely collaborative, so at the center of this exhibition, we have something called &ldquo;The Designers Playground&rdquo; where we invited four leading designers in Egypt to basically do an impromptu exhibit using the different products from the different brands in the fair.</p>
<p>We have curated spaces that recognize that the customer wants to furnish from many different places, and so we brought this all together for them in one place.</p>

<p><strong>How did the collaboration between Marakez and Efreshli come to be?</strong></p>
<p>So Marakez, as you know, is a real state developer, they believed in us from the very beginning, they were a very early investor in Efreshli, so we had a business relationship with them.</p>
<p>what we&rsquo;ve seen is that they keep bringing on different players from different events, so they&rsquo;ve had a food event, they&rsquo;ve had a fashion event, and when they thought about home they came to us, and of course, we said yes.</p>
<p>We haven&rsquo;t done an event before, this is the first time but we are very excited for the opportunity.</p>
<p><strong>The main theme of the exhibition centers around nature, can you tell us about the significance of that theme?</strong></p>
<p>Nature, for fashion, and for home, has always been an underlying theme. We all love nature, I think nature helps ground us, it relaxes us, it takes us away from the everyday business and stress of life.</p>
<p>We wanted this exhibition to be curated, we didn&rsquo;t want it to just be scattered, so we thought what else better than nature?</p>
<p>What we did is that we added a twist, we made it the four elements of nature, which are air, water, earth, and fire, which is a wide enough range, to give brands creativity and create some contrast.</p>
<p>So with air, you&rsquo;re going to get very peaceful, light colors, with fire you&rsquo;re going to get the vibrant, bold expressions of nature, and we are looking forward to seeing the different brands having different interpretations and expressions of what they going to bring to this fair.</p>
<p><strong>The upcoming exhibition will showcase 70 prominent Egyptian brands, what were the selection criteria and process for picking the brands that are going to take part in the event?</strong></p>
<p>The criteria are the customers. so for us, at Efreshli we always bring the customer to the center. We have very different brands, but all of them are either innovators, or taste-makers, and we know that the customers like these brands.</p>
<p>We have the whole range, we have from the furniture makers, to the rugs, to the plants, to the accessories. We have small brands that started 2 years ago, and we have brands that started 20 years ago, and that&rsquo;s what we love about it, it&rsquo;s a very diverse crowd that we know our customers love, and when they shop for their home they don&rsquo;t go to one brand, they go to many of these brands.</p>
<p><strong>What does the &ldquo;District 5 Home by Efreshli&rdquo; exhibition aim to achieve?</strong></p>
<p>We have a short-term goal and a long-term goal.</p>
<p>The short-term goal of course is to be able to cater to customers before summer, so they can come to one place and they can see what&rsquo;s available, the new collections from a lot of different brands, summer offers, and they can finish their summer home and find that one missing piece. Also for many brands to have a location so they can showcase their craftsmanship.</p>
<p>The long-term goal is to create a market where designers are a lot more accessible, where brands are collaborating, where the customers are at the center, and where people are exchanging ideas, to keep growing this design community.</p>
<p><strong>Are there any plans to make the exhibition an annual event, or it&rsquo;s just going to be a one-time event?</strong></p>
<p>Because I&rsquo;m an entrepreneur you don&rsquo;t really think beyond the current exhibition, you think &ldquo;I&rsquo;m just going to do this because it&rsquo;s a great opportunity&rdquo;, but after we started getting into it, we got so many requests to do it twice a year, to do it annually, so I think it&rsquo;s going to be more than just one-time event for sure.</p>
<p>You can tell before doing the event from the amount of inquiries that have come in, that people really want this, so our expectation is that it will become an annual event.</p>
<p><strong>What makes District 5 the most suitable place to host the upcoming exhibition?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>District 5 is a big mall, it&rsquo;s beautiful and spacious, and it&rsquo;s aesthetically pleasing.</p>
<p>They approached us and they&rsquo;ve been innovators, they&rsquo;ve done several events, they&rsquo;re always doing events, and I think what they have in common with us is that they have the customer at the center, so I think it&rsquo;s great to do it there.</p>
<p><strong>Who would benefit the most from attending the upcoming exhibition?</strong></p>
<p>I think everybody would benefit, definitely people who are furnishing their summer homes, and looking for missing pieces or more inspiration, I think it&rsquo;s the perfect time for it, the exhibition will have offers and new collections. As well as interior designers who are always looking to finalize their clients&rsquo; homes, and who want to see some of the best brands, all in one place.</p>
<p>We also have a few talks on the opening night, about design and the merge between technology and design, so yeah I think anybody can come, anybody creative who wants to be inspired can come.</p>
<p><strong>Since Efreshli is an online platform, why is it important to have an exhibition?</strong></p>
<p>Online is great because you can widen your reach and it makes it so much easier for people to discover products, but what we&rsquo;ve seen with furniture because it&rsquo;s a high-value item, there&rsquo;s a good percentage of people who want to touch, feel, and see the product. So once in a while having this type of exhibition gives them this trust in the product.</p>
<p>We see that the hybrid model is much more effective than just having an online model.</p>
<p><strong>Are there any plans for Efreshli to expand to the international market?</strong></p>
<p>Of course, definitely in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, that&rsquo;s what we have our eyes on next, and then maybe shipping internationally.</p>
<p>But Egypt is such a big market with so many challenges to solve, so we&rsquo;ve been working on those first, but definitely, we are looking at geographical expansion.</p>
<p><strong>When does the exhibition start?</strong></p>
<p>It starts tomorrow morning, 11 am, and it will go on for 9 days, till June 14th.</p>
<p>Tomorrow night we have some talks scheduled with Sync school, they organized three very interesting talks for designers, customers, and creatives.</p>

<p>The Minister of Culture highlighted the festival's significant place in Egypt's art scene, saying, "Cairo Int'l Festival For Experimental Theatre returns to light up the capital's sky with creativity. It opens a window into new worlds of imagination and art".&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Minister of Education issued a new ministerial decision regarding the regulation of the operations in all international, foreign, or private (international) in Egypt.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Here are all the new regulations in the ministerial decision:</strong></span></p>
<p>- All&nbsp;international, foreign, or private (international) schools are obliged to teach Arabic for kindergarten.</p>
<p>- All&nbsp;international, foreign, or private (international) are obliged to teach Arabic and religion to students in grades 1 to 3 or their equivalent.</p>
<p>- All&nbsp;international, foreign, or private (international) schools are obliged to teach Arabic language subjects, social studies, and religion from fourth to ninth grades or their equivalent in accordance with the curriculum applied in Egyptian public schools.</p>
<p>- Teaching Arabic language, history, and religion education from tenth to twelfth grades or their equivalent.</p>
<p>- International certificate equivalent to secondary school certificate must include 10% of their grades for Arabic language and history per course, through a general examination organized by the Ministry of Education.</p>
<p>- American Diploma Degrees will include a 40% GPA, a 40% for International American Final Tests, and a 20% for Arabic Language and history.</p>
<p>- The decision applies to all students enrolled in kindergarten (KG1) to grade 9 or equivalent from the academic year 2024/2025, as for students enrolled in grade 10 or equivalent it will be applied from the academic year 2025/2026.</p>

<p>Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing Utilities and Urban Communities, laid the foundation stone for a green industrial complex established in the industrial zone of New Alamein City.</p>
<p>The newly established complex has a&nbsp;total investment cost of LE 12 billion and will provide 2,000 job opportunities, in addition to being Egypt's first environmentally friendly industrial complex, spanning 400,000 square meters.</p>

<p>President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with a delegation from a number of committees of the United States Congress, headed by Senator Joni Ernst, and from the Egyptian side, Dr. Badr Abdel&nbsp;Aaty, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs abroad attended.</p>
<p>President El-Sisi discussed in the meeting the seriousness of the escalation and tension in the region caused by the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, stressing Egypt's intention to continue its efforts - in coordination with partners - to put an end to this war, he also warned from Israel's current escalation in the West Bank, stressing the need for concerted efforts by the international community to halt this escalation in the Palestinian territories.</p>

<p>The Ministry Of Health And Population confirmed that there have&nbsp;been no reported cases of Cholera in Egypt after some social media pages claimed that several cases of Cholera have appeared in a number of&nbsp;governorates.</p>
<p>The&nbsp;Cabinet's Media Center reached out to the Ministry of Health and Population, which denied the news, stressing that no cases of cholera were detected in any of the governorates, and referred that Egypt follows a program to monitor and investigate epidemic outbreaks.</p>

<p>Brazil has blocked access to Elon Musk's social media platform X, after missing a deadline imposed by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes to name a legal representative for the company in Brazil.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The feud between Musk and de Moraes started last April when the Supreme Court judge ordered&nbsp;the suspension of dozens of X accounts for allegedly spreading disinformation.</p>
<p>Last Wednesday&nbsp;De Moraes threatened Musk that X would be blocked in Brazil if the company didn't comply&nbsp;with his order to name a representative in Brazil within 24 hours since X&nbsp;hasn't had a representative in the country since earlier this month&nbsp;</p>

<p>Brazil blocked X after failing to comply with the Supreme Court Justice's order within the deadline,&nbsp;De Moraes also said that the platform will stay suspended until it complies with his orders, and also set a daily fine of 50,000 reais ($8,900) for people or companies using VPNs to access it.&nbsp;</p>

Brazil Blocks Elon Musk's Social Media Platform X

<p>Pavel Durov, the creator and CEO of the messaging app Telegram, was detained on Saturday night at the Bourget airport south of Paris.&nbsp;<br />According to TF1 and BFM, the police believed that the absence of moderators on Telegram allowed illegal conduct to go unchecked, and this was the main focus of the investigation.</p>
<p>With about one billion users, Telegram is especially popular in Russia, Ukraine, and other areas. It is considered one of the biggest social media platforms at the moment such as Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok.</p>
<p>It's worth mentioning that Durov, and his brother launched Telegram in 2013.</p>

<p>Elon Musk's Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, announced that soon only premium users will be able to livestream on the platform.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A post on X from the verified @Live account stated, "Starting soon, only Premium subscribers will be able to livestream (create live video streams) on X. This includes going live from an encoder with X integration. Upgrade to Premium to continue going live".&nbsp;</p>
<p>The date on which the change will become operative is not stated in the post.</p>
<p>There are three subscription tiers in X: Basic, Premium, and Premium+, the Basic tier includes features like editing posts, longer posts, longer video uploads, reply prioritization, text formatting, bookmark folders, and custom app icons, among other features.</p>

<p>Tech billionaire, Elon Musk, took to social media to express his apprehension about the new partnership between Apple and OpenAI, saying that he would ban all Apple devices from his companies if the integration plans proceeded.</p>
<p>In multiple posts on X, Musk clarified that his concern stems from his disagreement with OpenAI data policies, saying, "Apple has no clue what&rsquo;s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI,&nbsp;They&rsquo;re selling you down the river".&nbsp;</p>

<p>An important step toward the start-up's goal of assisting patients in overcoming paralysis and a variety of neurological diseases was reached last year when the US Food and Drug Administration granted the business permission to carry out its first study to test its implant on humans.</p>
<p>Some of the "Telepathy" features are its ability to&nbsp;allow users with disabilities to communicate more easily, and enables users to control their phones or computers, through them by just thinking.&nbsp;</p>

<p><br />Following a leak, the trailer for Rockstar&rsquo;s &ldquo;Grand Theft Auto VI," one of the most anticipated games was released online ahead of schedule.</p>
<p>The trailer gave a first look at GTA 6, and revealed that it will be out in 2025.</p>

<p>The trailer broke the record for the most viewed non-music video in just 9 hours, receiving an astounding 48.8 million views, the record was previously held by Mr. Beast with his video &ldquo;7 Days Stranded at Sea&rdquo;, which got 46 million view in 24 hours.&nbsp;</p>
<p>&ldquo;GTA 6&rdquo; is the highly anticipated next installment in the action-adventure series, which comes after 12 years from the previous installment &ldquo;GTA 5&rdquo; which came back in 2023.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Elon Musk&nbsp;has unveiled his plans to charge all the users of X (formerly known as Twitter), to post content on the social media platform.</p>
<p>The subscription plan will be titled &ldquo;Not a Bot&rdquo;, and it has already started the testing phase in two countries, The Philippines and New Zealand.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Not a Bot" will cost a $1 annual fee, and the prices may vary based on the country and the currency, it will also allow users to perform certain actions on the web versions of the platform, such as posting content, liking posts, replying, reposting,&nbsp;bookmarking posts, and quoting other accounts&rsquo; posts&rdquo;.</p>
<p>Musk stated that the subscription plan is the only way to fight bots without blocking the real users, and even though that won't completely stop bots, it will make it harder to manipulate the social media platform.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to<a href="https://variety.com/2023/digital/news/elon-musk-charge-all-x-twitter-users-fee-1235726693/">&nbsp;Variety</a>, The CEO of Tesla has expressed his intentions to turn X/Twitter into a subscription-based platform in his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Musk said, "[We&rsquo;re] moving to a small monthly payment for use of the X system&rdquo;, Musk explained that this is the only way to eliminate the problem of bots, as&nbsp;reported&nbsp;by Bloomberg&rsquo;s Dave Lee.</p>

<p>Popular short video-sharing app TikTok is hit with a $368 million fine for failing to protect children&rsquo;s privacy. This marks the first for TikTok to be punished for breaching Europe&rsquo;s strict data privacy rules.P</p>
<p>According to the investigation, the sign-up process for teens who use the app makes their accounts public by default, which allows anyone to view and comment on their videos and puts children under 13 at risk.</p>
<p>Even the family pairing feature on TikTok, which allows parents to manage the settings of their children&rsquo;s accounts wasn&rsquo;t secure enough, as it allowed direct messaging from users between the age of 16 and 17 without their consent.</p>
<p>In response to the fine TikTok said in a statement that it disagrees with the decision, &ldquo;particularly the level of the fine imposed&rdquo;, and they also pointed out that the criticisms are focused on features and settings dating back to three years ago.&nbsp;</p>
