Who’s Who In “Seven Dogs”? Meet The Cast And Characters Of The Upcoming Action Film

<p>Before the first actor stepped onto the set of &ldquo;Seven Dogs&rdquo;, the production team faced an unusual challenge. The opening sequence, ahead of the film&rsquo;s global release on 27 May, required a violent fight inside a spinning aircraft undergoing decompression without the use of green screens or static backdrops.</p>
<p>The solution was to construct a full aircraft cabin capable of physically rotating during filming.</p>
<p>What followed became one of the most technically ambitious practical productions in recent Arab cinema, filmed entirely in Riyadh. The film has already entered the Guinness World Records for staging the largest explosion ever captured in a single cinematic scene.</p>

<p><strong>A Plane That Actually Spins</strong></p>
<p>Special effects supervisor Duncan Capp and his team at IFX International Special Effects built a 15 metre rotating platform inside AlHisn Big Time Studio, designed to flip a full aircraft cabin and cockpit completely upside down during filming.</p>
<p>The structure was elevated four metres above the studio floor, allowing the filmmakers to stage a stunt in which a passenger seat is torn loose and hurled through the cabin floor, an effect that would not have been possible closer to the ground.</p>
<p>To recreate the force of cabin decompression, the production used two custom built wind machines powered by LS6 Chevy V8 engines, the same type used in Florida Everglades airboats. Each engine generated around 540 horsepower, producing winds of up to 120 km/h.</p>
<p>The machines were so powerful they had to be mounted on cranes weighing up to seven tonnes to remain stable during filming.</p>
<p>Actors Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz performed much of the sequence surrounded by real wind, debris and a physically rotating aircraft cabin.</p>
<p>&ldquo;It was incredible to see all the things he created and engineered to make it feel completely real,&rdquo; director Adil El Arbi said.</p>

<p><strong>A Five Storey Set Built Above Real Water</strong></p>
<p>The film&rsquo;s largest interior set was the penthouse of Shanghai crime boss Li Chang, played by Max Huang.</p>
<p>Production designer Paul Kirby began with hand drawn sketches, later transformed into a fully navigable 3D model that allowed the directors, cinematographer and stunt team to plan camera movements and fight choreography before construction began.</p>
<p>The result was a five storey set built inside AlHisn Big Time Studio, complete with stunt falls, breakaway structures and camera cranes operating across multiple levels.</p>
<p>Unlike most film sets, which typically span one or two floors, this structure extended across five.</p>
<p>The set was also constructed directly above an existing deep diving pool within the studio complex. Rather than conceal it, the filmmakers incorporated it into the design as the penthouse&rsquo;s indoor swimming pool.</p>
<p>The water beneath was deep enough for stunt performers to safely fall from the upper levels. A mechanical sliding glass cover was also installed, allowing the pool to be sealed mid scene during a fight sequence.</p>
<p>A glass staircase and transparent floor corridor enabled cameras to film directly beneath the actors&rsquo; feet, a perspective rarely used in martial arts cinema.</p>

<p><strong>Riyadh Standing In For Shanghai And Mumbai</strong></p>
<p>When the script required a Shanghai night market, the filmmakers turned to Boulevard World in Riyadh.</p>
<p>The area&rsquo;s large LED screens were reprogrammed with Mandarin advertisements and animated Chinese signage, while more than 150 vendor carts built by hand inside AlHisn Big Time Studio were transported to create the atmosphere of a crowded Shanghai street.</p>
<p>Real steam from food stalls, neon lighting and hand painted Mandarin signs were used to complete the setting.</p>
<p>For scenes set in Mumbai, the production moved to Riyadh&rsquo;s Al Batha district, whose narrow streets and dense architecture resembled parts of the Indian city.</p>
<p>The area was transformed with Hindi shop signs, Bollywood posters, exposed wiring and redesigned storefronts, while members of Riyadh&rsquo;s Indian community appeared as extras.</p>
<p>&ldquo;The entire film was shot here in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh. Yet we travelled the world from this location,&rdquo; director Bilall Fallah said.</p>

<p>The screenplay was written by Mohamed Eldabbah, based on a story by Turki Al Sheikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.</p>

<p>With that statement, Egyptian-Australian singer Isadora captured the attention of audiences across Egypt, proudly embracing her roots and speaking openly about her connection to the country.</p>
<p>Born in Egypt and raised between Australia and New Zealand, Isadora has developed a distinctive artistic identity shaped by two cultures. Her music blends Arabic and English influences, mixing trap-inspired production with traditional Arabic melodies to reflect her dual cultural experience.</p>
<p>Throughout her career, Isadora has frequently drawn on memories of Egypt that continue to shape her both emotionally and creatively. From growing up listening to artists such as Amr Diab to now remixing some of his music, she says Egyptian culture remains central to her sound. Food, family memories and Egyptian-inspired aesthetics also continue to influence both her identity and visual style.</p>
<p>In an exclusive interview with NileFM, Isadora spoke about her global journey, her connection to Egypt, her upcoming Arabic-language music and the next chapter of her artistic career.</p>

<p><strong>You were born in Egypt and later raised between Australia and New Zealand. Can you tell us more about your journey and how these different cultures shaped you as an artist?</strong><br />To be honest, like a lot of diaspora, I&rsquo;m stuck between the feeling of having many homes and no home at all. Being born in Cairo, raised abroad and visiting every year exposed me to a stark cultural dichotomy. But I&rsquo;m proud to say it&rsquo;s created duality in my music and duality in me. I embody so much of my Australian upbringing but deeply connect to Egyptian culture. Just like my music, one moment you&rsquo;ll hear a trap-style 808 and the next an oud melody.</p>
<p><a href="https://ibb.co/Zp5kFvVD"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/wFVxP8Rm/1.png" alt="1" border="0" /></a><br /><strong>How does being Egyptian influence your musical choices and the style of music you create today?</strong><br />I grew up listening to everything from Fairuz to Amr Diab. My teta and mum were also musicians in Cairo, so Egyptian influence is naturally sprinkled throughout my music. Some of my songs feature Arabic-inspired percussion, scales and key changes, as well as traditional instrumentation. Sometimes I even incorporate Arabic and French lyrics, reflecting the languages I grew up with at home.<br />My next single, Shahid, meaning &ldquo;Witness&rdquo;, is my first fully Arabic song and includes live nay accompaniment. I&rsquo;m nervous but excited for people to hear it.<br /><strong>You often share videos of yourself practising Arabic. What motivates you to keep learning the language, and how challenging is it when writing or singing Arabic songs?</strong><br />It&rsquo;s honestly been such a journey. I went through phases of giving up after trying and being laughed at, by family and strangers who probably meant well, but it still hurt. No matter how many times I wanted to stop though, something kept drawing me back. The language feels familiar and comforting, and it helps me connect to my family in Egypt.<br />Despite people telling me I&rsquo;ll never sound Egyptian or truly be Egyptian, it&rsquo;s always been a dream of mine to sing and write in Arabic.</p>
<p><a href="https://ibb.co/p6g3FCZm"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/BHmgM8j1/2.png" alt="2" border="0" /></a><br /><strong>What is the most memorable comment or feedback you have received from Egyptian fans?</strong><br />Despite all the controversy that sometimes gets attention, I see so many people supporting and encouraging me for staying connected to my roots and representing where I come from. I hear it from diaspora communities in the West all the way to people born and raised in small towns across Egypt.<br />I also love hearing Egyptian girls say I&rsquo;ve made them feel confident and seen.<br /><strong>Is there something in Egypt you are still hoping to experience or try for the first time?</strong><br />So much. Although I&rsquo;ve travelled around Egypt, I&rsquo;ve only scratched the surface. My aunty used to take us to the White Desert and promised that one day we would camp there, it&rsquo;s still on my bucket list.<br />And everyone tells me the North Coast is the place to be in summer, so I&rsquo;m hoping to visit later this year.<br /><strong>Your makeup and visual style often reflect Egyptian aesthetics and culture. How did you develop this unique look and turn it into part of your artistic identity?</strong><br />I&rsquo;ve always been fascinated by Pharaonic art, style and makeup. Whenever I visit an Egyptian museum or exhibition, I&rsquo;m drawn to displays of jewellery, stones and charms.<br />My signature Eye of Horus look really became part of who I am last year, but the inspiration dates back to 2018 when I saw a runway design featuring it on a male model. It stayed with me ever since. In 2019, I recreated the look for my song Call Me Habibi, but it took years before I felt confident enough to fully embrace it as part of my identity.<br />It&rsquo;s more than makeup, though. My name comes from Isis, the ancient Egyptian goddess of healing and protection, and mother of Horus, which is where the Eye of Horus symbol comes from. When I wear it, I feel powerful, protected and connected to my roots.</p>
<p><a href="https://ibb.co/27yCXk4w"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/DDtv3R2N/3.png" alt="3" border="0" /></a><br /><strong>You sometimes remix English songs with Arabic elements. What challenges do you face when blending these two musical worlds?</strong><br />Blending those two worlds can be challenging. Musically, it&rsquo;s difficult finding artists and producers who can create contemporary pop and R&amp;B while also understanding the nuances and scales of Arabic music.<br />Luckily, I&rsquo;ve found incredible musicians from different backgrounds; Egyptian, Algerian, Australian and Spanish, who can bring those worlds together with care and respect. It&rsquo;s important to me to do both styles justice and not treat Arabic fusion as a passing trend. For me, it&rsquo;s not a trend at all; it&rsquo;s identity.<br />Socially, I also face criticism whenever I lean too far into either world, but the reality is I can&rsquo;t please everyone, and more importantly, I don&rsquo;t feel the need to.<br /><strong>Can you tell us about your upcoming projects or any new music fans should look forward to?</strong><br />I&rsquo;m currently working on my debut album, writing and recording between Sydney, London and Cairo. It&rsquo;s a world I&rsquo;m excited for people to step into, exploring the diaspora experience and everything that comes with it; the highs, lows, passion and heartbreak.<br />My next release will be my first Arabic song on 29 May. It&rsquo;s an Arabic version of my previous track Witness. I felt it would sound beautiful in Arabic and, with the help of Egyptian singer-songwriter Layal, I think it really does.<br />This feels like my moment to prove I can sing in Arabic. Even if it&rsquo;s imperfect, it still carries the emotion and heart of an Arabic song.</p>

<p><strong>When you are in Egypt, what are some of your favourite foods, places or experiences that make you feel connected to the country?</strong><br />My mum always laughs at this, but every time I land in Egypt, I go straight from the plane to eat koshari. It&rsquo;s a must.<br />One of my favourite places to eat is a small spot in Abbasseya, hand on heart, they make the best falafel in the world. I could talk about food all day, honestly. But what makes me feel most connected is seeing my family, my gido, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. That&rsquo;s what makes me feel most at home.<br /><strong>If you could collaborate with an Egyptian artist in the future, who would it be and why?</strong><br />My favourite artist right now is Tul8te. I&rsquo;d love to collaborate with him one day.<br /><strong>What advice would you give to singers who dream of building an international career like yours?</strong><br />I think the first thing you have to do, and this applies to all areas of life, is make sure you really know who you are and what matters to you, otherwise someone else will define that for you.<br />Love yourself and be confident enough in who you are that nobody can bring you down. Once you have that, you&rsquo;re unstoppable.</p>

<p>Being part of a DJ duo may appear challenging but collaborating with someone who shares the same creative vision while offering different strengths can create a distinctive musical balance. That is the approach taken by Karim Attallah and May Adam when they launched their duo project, Paar Muzik. One comes from a dance background with a strong connection to rhythm and movement, while the other draws inspiration from electronic music and nightlife culture.</p>

<p>NileFM speaks to Paar Muzik about how the idea of forming a DJ duo first emerged, the challenges they have faced, and what lies ahead for the project.</p>
<p><strong>Who are you away from the music? Tell us about your lives and the experiences that shaped your journey into DJing.</strong><br />Away from music, we&rsquo;re both inspired by people, culture, travel, and everyday experiences. One of us comes from a dance background, deeply connected to rhythm, movement, and performance, while the other was more influenced by electronic music, nightlife culture, and discovering sounds from around the world. Music was always present in our lives, and DJing became a natural way to express ourselves creatively and connect with people. Production also became a huge part of our journey early on. Spending time in the studio and building music together became the real connection behind the scenes and helped shape our identity as artists.</p>
<p><a href="https://ibb.co/LhY093FR"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/PzFr1dLj/1.png" alt="1" border="0" /></a><br /><strong>How did the idea of forming a DJ duo come about, and what made you decide to turn it into a shared project?</strong><br />It developed naturally through spending time together around music, exchanging ideas, and discovering how aligned we were creatively. From the beginning, we shared the same mindset and a common passion for music, energy, and creating experiences for people. As we spent more time playing and producing together, we decided to officially launch the brand and turn it into a serious shared project with its own identity and direction.<br /><strong>As a duo, how do your different musical backgrounds or perspectives influence your sound and creativity together?</strong><br />Our differences are one of our biggest strengths. One of us leans more toward Afro rhythms, emotion, and performance energy through dance, while the other is drawn to tech-house grooves, structure, and high-energy transitions. That balance helps us create sets that feel both emotional and energetic. Our sound today is heavily inspired by Afro-melodic elements, blending percussion, deep atmospheres, and hypnotic grooves in a way that feels immersive and powerful on the dancefloor.<br /><strong>You are known for immersive sets that sit at the crossroads of Afro-house and tech-house. How would you describe your signature sound, and how do you balance both styles in your sets?</strong><br />We&rsquo;d describe our sound as rhythmic, emotional, and atmospheric. Afro-house brings warmth and storytelling, while tech-house adds movement and energy. We also take inspiration from melodic house to create a deeper emotional journey within our sets.<br />The balance comes from reading the crowd and understanding when to build emotion versus when to push intensity. <br /><strong>What have been the biggest challenges you have faced as a DJ duo so far?</strong><br />One of the biggest challenges is maintaining a shared vision while still respecting each other&rsquo;s individuality. Being a duo requires constant communication, creatively and professionally. At the same time, the electronic music scene moves very fast, so we always try to stay connected to what&rsquo;s happening globally. Attending events like IMS Dubai helped us grow our network, build industry connections, and stay updated with the latest trends and sounds shaping the scene. <br /><strong>How do you usually make creative decisions when preparing a set or planning a performance?</strong><br />Preparation is very collaborative for us. We spend a lot of time sharing music, testing ideas, and discussing the atmosphere we want to create. Usually, it starts with a feeling rather than a strict tracklist. A lot of our inspiration also comes from production and experimenting in the studio with Afro melodic sounds and emotional progressions.<br /><strong>When you don&rsquo;t fully agree on a track or musical direction during a set, how do you handle it in the moment?</strong><br />Trust plays a huge role. During a set, there&rsquo;s no time for long discussions, so we rely on instinct and experience. Usually, if one of us strongly feels a direction, the other supports it, and we adjust naturally together. Over time, we&rsquo;ve learned how to understand each other&rsquo;s energy without needing to say much.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>How does it feel to be featured as &ldquo;DJ of the Week&rdquo; on NileFM? Was this recognition expected, or did it come as a surprise?</strong><br />It honestly felt amazing. It was a very motivating moment for us because we&rsquo;ve always focused more on the music and the experience rather than recognition itself. Being featured by NileFM definitely encouraged us to keep pushing our sound further.</p>

For us, a real connection is always more important than just making people dance.<br /><strong>What upcoming projects, releases, or performances can your audience look forward to?</strong><br />We&rsquo;re currently focusing heavily on production and developing original music that reflects our identity more clearly. We have exciting upcoming scheduled releases blending Afro-house and melodic house with deeper electronic textures, alongside exciting collaborations and performances to be announced soon.</p>

<p>NileFM spoke to Adam Amr about his journey in &ldquo;Al Frensawy," his approach to acting through expression, and his upcoming series with Mohamed Farrag.</p>
<p><strong>You started your career through commercials. What first drew you to acting, and when did you decide to pursue it professionally?</strong></p>
<p>From the beginning, I loved acting. Commercials were just a step for me, like many actors whose starting point was also through advertisements.</p>

<p><strong>You are currently appearing in the series &ldquo;Al Fransawy.&rdquo; What attracted you most to the role, particularly given its challenging flashback scenes?</strong></p>
<p>What attracted me most to the role is that it appears in challenging flashback scenes that carry a lot of emotion. I also really admire Amr Youssef, so I was very happy to work with him. Flashback roles are usually very important and central to the story.</p>
<p><strong>The character relies heavily on expressing emotion through the eyes, often without dialogue. How did you approach conveying feelings in this way?</strong></p>
<p>Yes, that&rsquo;s true. Director Adam Abdel Ghaffar spoke with me and explained the role in detail so I could understand the emotions I needed to deliver. Some scenes were difficult and didn&rsquo;t rely much on dialogue, so eye expressions were very important. Thankfully, I was able to convey that, and many people messaged me saying that I &ldquo;act with my eyes,&rdquo; which made me very happy.</p>
<p><strong>Can you take us behind the scenes of working with Amr Youssef and the rest of the cast? What was the atmosphere like on set?</strong></p>
<p>The atmosphere on set was great. Director Adam was very kind and encouraging, after every scene he would tell me &ldquo;Bravo,&rdquo; which motivated me to give my best each time. The first time I saw Amr Youssef was during a scene where he remembers himself as a child. After we finished filming, he told me, &ldquo;You were amazing,&rdquo; and I was really happy to hear that. He&rsquo;s a wonderful person.</p>

<p><strong>You also appeared in the Eid Al-Fitr film &ldquo;EgyBest,&rdquo; which achieved strong audience reactions. How did you experience that response?</strong></p>
<p>The film was a great experience, and I was very happy with the success it achieved. Ahmed Malek is a big star, and this is actually the third project that has brought me together with him, after the series &ldquo;Welad El Shams&rdquo; and the film &ldquo;6 Days&rdquo;, and now &ldquo;EgyBest.&rdquo; I really enjoy working with him.</p>

<p><strong>You are also part of the upcoming series &ldquo;Labet Gohanam&rdquo; starring Mohamed Farrag. What can you tell us about your role and what audiences should expect?</strong></p>
<p>I hope the audience will enjoy &ldquo;Labet Gohanam.&rdquo; I can&rsquo;t reveal much so I don&rsquo;t spoil anything, but it&rsquo;s also a challenging role. My brother Eyad is also appearing in the series with me, and there will be a surprise.</p>

<p><strong>What projects do you have coming up next?</strong></p>
<p>At the moment, I don&rsquo;t have confirmed new projects. I&rsquo;ve always hoped for a role that would give me the opportunity to show how much I love acting, and thankfully &ldquo;Al Frensawy&rdquo; gave me that chance. I hope more roles will come my way. In general, I enjoy challenging roles that involve strong drama.</p>
<p><strong>You made your debut in &ldquo;Masar Egbary.&rdquo; Looking back, how do you see your development as an actor, and how do you continue to improve your craft?</strong></p>
<p>I really love the series &ldquo;Masar Egbary&rdquo; because it was my first project, and I was very happy to meet actors like Essam Omar and Ahmed Dash. I feel lucky to have worked with young actors who are role models for me. I would love to work again with Essam Omar; many people say we resemble each other, which makes me very happy. I also make sure to take acting workshops whenever I have time because I believe a good actor should always keep learning.</p>
<p><strong>Finally, what message would you like to share with audiences about yourself as an actor, and what is your ultimate career ambition?</strong></p>
<p>I want to send a message that anyone with a dream should keep chasing it. I faced many moments of disappointment, but every time I got back up and kept going. Success only comes after a lot of hard work and persistence. My dream is to become a great actor and to one day work with stars like Karim Abdel Aziz, Khaled El Nabawy, and Ahmed Ezz.</p>

For the DJ and producer, however, music is about more than filling dance floors. It is about telling stories through sound.</p>
<p>Listeners can tune in at 10:00 p.m. to hear Shika Saber present a one hour set on NileFM, blending Afro house and melodic house influences inspired by his travels and live performances.</p>
<p>Ahead of the show, NileFM spoke to the DJ about his musical beginnings, international experiences, and approach to creating sets that connect with audiences.</p>
<p><strong>Early Beginnings In Alexandria</strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Could you tell us about your journey and what motivated you to become a DJ?</strong></p>
<p>My journey started in Alexandria, where I was surrounded by a diverse musical atmosphere. I have always been drawn to rhythm and storytelling through sound, and Afro house and melodic house gave me a way to express both emotion and energy. What motivated me was the ability to connect people on a deeper level. Seeing how music can unite a crowd regardless of background pushed me to pursue DJing seriously and evolve into music production as well.</p>

<p><strong>2. You frequently travel between cities such as Jordan and Dubai. In what ways has this international exposure influenced your work?</strong></p>
<p>Travelling has greatly expanded my perspective. Each place has its own vibe and audience energy. Dubai is very dynamic and high energy, while Jordan has a more soulful and intimate feel. This contrast has helped me balance my sets between powerful drops and emotional melodies, making my sound more versatile and globally appealing.</p>
<p><strong>3. How do different cultural environments impact your musical style and set selection?</strong></p>
<p>I always read the crowd and consider the cultural context. In some places, people connect more with deep, melodic journeys, while others respond more to groove driven Afro rhythms. I adapt by blending both worlds, keeping my signature sound while tailoring the energy and progression to suit the environment.</p>
<p><strong>Memorable Performances And Creative Process</strong></p>
<p><strong>4. Have you experienced a particularly memorable moment while performing live?</strong></p>
<p>One of the most memorable moments was seeing a crowd completely locked into a melodic Afro track that I produced. It was one of those moments when everyone is in sync, and you instantly feel the connection. That kind of energy reminds me why I do this.</p>
<p><strong>5. Could you describe your process for preparing and structuring a DJ set?</strong></p>
<p>I usually start by understanding the setting and audience. Then I build a journey, beginning with deeper atmospheric sounds, gradually increasing the energy and creating emotional peaks. I organise my tracks by mood and key to ensure smooth transitions, but I always leave room for improvisation depending on the crowd&rsquo;s reaction.</p>
<p><strong>6. Was there a defining moment in your career that confirmed your potential for success as a DJ?</strong></p>
<p>Yes, performing outside Egypt for the first time was a turning point. Seeing an international audience connect with my sound gave me confidence that what I am doing can reach beyond borders and has real potential.</p>
<p><strong>Joining NileFM&rsquo;s Spotlight For Emerging DJs</strong></p>
<p><strong>7. Do you have a notable memory associated with NileFM that encouraged your application for DJ of the Week?</strong></p>
<p>NileFM has always been a platform that supports fresh talent and modern sounds. I have followed it for years, and being part of it felt like the right step to share my music with a wider audience in Egypt.</p>

<p>I constantly search for new music, follow emerging artists and stay connected with global trends in Afro house and melodic house. I also produce my own tracks, which helps me maintain a unique and up to date sound.</p>
<p><strong>9. Should audiences anticipate any unique elements in your DJ of the Week performance?</strong></p>
<p>Definitely. I will be blending Afro house rhythms with melodic elements, including some of my own unreleased tracks. The set is designed as a journey, something immersive that builds emotion and energy throughout the hour.</p>
<p><strong>Advice For Emerging DJs</strong></p>
<p><strong>10. What advice would you offer to aspiring DJs aiming to perform internationally and on platforms such as NileFM?</strong></p>
<p>Stay authentic to your sound but be adaptable. Consistency is key. Keep practising, keep learning, and do not rush the process. Networking and understanding different audiences are just as important as technical skills. Most importantly, let your passion guide you.</p>

<p>Popular Egyptian comedy series El Le&rsquo;ba continues to draw audiences&rsquo; attention with its evolving characters and sharp humour. In its latest season, attention has turned to Kareem, played by rising actor Hassan Wael.</p>
<p>Wael first appeared in the show in 2020 at the age of 12. Now 18, his return in season five offers viewers a chance to see both his personal and on-screen development. His character brings comedic contrast to his father Mazo, played by Hesham Maged, with their relationship forming one of the show&rsquo;s central dynamics.</p>
<p>While Mazo encourages a carefree, playful lifestyle, Kareem aspires to become a scientist, creating a humorous and relatable clash between the two.</p>
<p>In an exclusive interview with NileFM, Wael speaks about his journey in acting, his experiences growing up on set, and how the series has shaped his career.</p>

<p><strong>Could you introduce yourself and tell us what first drew you to acting?</strong></p>
<p>I&rsquo;m 18 years old and currently in my final year of high school. I first became interested in acting because of my older sister. She wanted to be an actress and used to perform sketches when she was younger. My mother noticed her talent, so we started going to casting offices with the intention that she would pursue acting, not me.</p>
<p>However, when I began accompanying my sister to filming locations, whether for TV series or other projects, I became fascinated by the entire process: the acting, the preparation, and the cameras. That&rsquo;s when I realised I had developed a passion for acting myself.</p>

<p><strong>&ldquo;El Le&rsquo;ba&rdquo; has been running for several years. How does it feel to look back at the early seasons compared to now?</strong></p>
<p>When I look back, I see how much the characters, storylines, and scripts have developed from the first season until now. We&rsquo;ve also grown as a team, we started as colleagues, but over time we&rsquo;ve become more like a family.</p>

<p><strong>Your character Kareem has a unique relationship with his father. How did you balance humour with realism in portraying it?</strong></p>
<p>Presenting the character in a way that is both humorous and believable comes mainly from the rehearsals we do with Hesham Maged. We rehearse extensively, which helps us build that father-son dynamic and highlight the contrast in their personalities; the father who wants his son to be carefree and rebellious, and the son who wants his father to be responsible. A lot of that work happens behind the scenes.</p>

<p><strong>What are behind-the-scenes moments like, especially working with actors such as Hesham Maged and Chico, and director Moataz El-Tony?</strong></p>
<p>I would divide the experience into two phases: seasons one to four, and then season five. In the earlier seasons, I couldn&rsquo;t quite that I was working with such big stars and an accomplished director like Moataz El-Tony. I was quite nervous and tended to keep to myself.</p>
<p>By season five, things had completely changed. We became much closer, more like a family. Of course, I&rsquo;ve grown older, but the senior actors like Hesham Maged and Chico were the ones who first reached out and helped me feel comfortable. That encouraged me to open up, talk more, and learn from them.</p>
<p>For me, season five has been the most enjoyable behind the scenes because we&rsquo;ve become closer and there&rsquo;s more room to exchange ideas. That even reflects in the script, as we sometimes make adjustments before filming.</p>

<p><strong>You&rsquo;ve worked on several projects. Do you feel comedy is the genre closest to you?</strong></p>
<p>I&rsquo;ve worked on series such as &ldquo;El-Nehaya&rdquo; with Youssef El-Sherif and &ldquo;Al-Wasiya&rdquo; with Akram Hosny and Ahmed Amin. I do feel that comedy is closest to me, as it&rsquo;s often said that a strong comedic actor can also perform well in dramatic roles.</p>
<p>Most of my work has been within a comedic framework. The only project that leaned more towards drama was &ldquo;El-Nehaya&rdquo;. However, I would definitely welcome the opportunity to take on more dramatic or tragic roles in the future.</p>

<p><strong>How similar are you to your character Kareem in real life?</strong></p>
<p>The character is actually quite close to me. My family often jokes, asking whether I&rsquo;m studying in the series or in real life. One of the traits we share is being hardworking and focused on our studies.</p>
<p><strong>Looking back over the past six years, what is the biggest change you see in yourself as an actor?</strong></p>
<p>After season four, there was a two-year break, which I used to work on improving myself. I&rsquo;m surrounded by actors with a strong on-screen presence, so I needed to develop my skills to keep up.</p>
<p>Many people supported me, especially Hesham Maged. If I wasn&rsquo;t sure how to approach a scene, he would guide me. Director Moataz El-Tony also played a major role in improving my performance this season.</p>

<p><strong>Why do you think &ldquo;El Le&rsquo;ba&rdquo; has remained so successful over the years?</strong></p>
<p>There are several reasons. One of the most important is that the concept was fresh and hadn&rsquo;t been presented before. The chemistry between Chico and Hesham Maged is also very strong, which gives the series its unique spirit.</p>
<p>In addition, the writing continues to evolve each season, and having a strong comedy director like Moataz El-Tony plays a key role in the show&rsquo;s success.</p>

<p>Mohamed Hamaki has unveiled the teaser for his upcoming album &ldquo;Samma3ony,&rdquo; marking his tenth studio release, with a special appearance by his daughter Fatma, who takes center stage throughout the video.</p>
<p>The teaser serves as both a nostalgic tribute to Hamaki&rsquo;s musical journey and a symbolic introduction to the new chapter of his career. Fatma is seen walking through a series of gates, each representing a different era from her father&rsquo;s discography, before arriving at the tenth gate, symbolising &ldquo;Samma3ony.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Blending nostalgia with sleek modern visuals, the teaser also features snippets from some of Hamaki&rsquo;s best known songs, including &ldquo;Men Alby Baghanny&rdquo; and &ldquo;Ahla Haga Feki,&rdquo; building anticipation for the album&rsquo;s release.</p>

<p>Playing music for others is what continues to drive Cairo-based DJ and producer Karim Auf as he builds his place within Egypt&rsquo;s growing electronic music scene.<br />Speaking to NileFM programme &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s Dance with Nancy&rdquo;, Auf reflected on his musical journey, the evolution of his sound and the moments that shaped his career.<br /><strong>Beyond The Decks</strong><br />Music has been a central part of Auf&rsquo;s life for more than 15 years. Drawing inspiration from everyday sounds, his influences span several genres, including jazz and rock.<br />His approach to DJing, he says, is centred on emotion and storytelling.<br />&ldquo;My goal is to take the audience on a journey through music,&rdquo; he says.<br />Despite regularly performing in nightlife venues and festivals, Auf describes himself as someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle away from the stage.<br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m a very domestic person. I like having my own space and time to explore nature and sounds,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;I also love cooking and fishing.&rdquo;<br /><strong>From Music Fan To DJ</strong><br />Auf says his relationship with music began unexpectedly during his childhood.<br />&ldquo;I had a portable PlayStation where I used to download music instead of playing games,&rdquo; he recalls. &ldquo;I loved controlling the music while my friends were dancing. That&rsquo;s when I realised this was what I wanted to do.&rdquo;<br />His first experiences as a DJ came through house parties around 2008.<br />&ldquo;My friends liked the music I played, so I recorded a two-hour set even though I didn&rsquo;t really know how to use the mixer properly yet,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;When I saw people dancing, I felt like Ti&euml;sto in that moment.&rdquo;<br /><strong>Breakthrough Moments</strong><br />One of Auf&rsquo;s defining career moments came after producing a track inspired by the melodic techno sound associated with Afterlife.<br />&ldquo;I created the track from the heart without expecting anything,&rdquo; he says.<br />The track later gained support from international artists including Kevin de Vries and Tale of Us, helping expand his profile within the electronic music scene.<br />&ldquo;In the past, the spotlight wasn&rsquo;t really on Egyptian producers,&rdquo; Auf says. &ldquo;Now there is much more international attention on the scene here.&rdquo;<br /><strong>Sharing Stages With International Artists</strong><br />Auf says success came gradually rather than through a single breakthrough moment.<br />&ldquo;I just kept playing music and believing in myself,&rdquo; he says.<br />Among the artists who have influenced him most is Ben B&ouml;hmer.<br />&ldquo;I played with him last summer, and it was magical,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;He inspires me all the time.&rdquo;<br />He also described performing alongside Mathame at an Alter event as a major milestone.<br />&ldquo;It was a challenging slot because I was playing after one of the giants,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;The challenge was keeping the energy high and letting the crowd stay and party with me, even though I was the final act.&rdquo;<br /><strong>The Story Behind &ldquo;Breakaway&rdquo;</strong><br />Auf also discussed &ldquo;Breakaway&rdquo;, his collaboration with Zinnian Abdu.<br />&ldquo;We spent hours in the studio working on small details until we reached the final version,&rdquo; he says.<br />The track later became part of his performances outside Egypt, including a show in AlUla in Saudi Arabia.<br /><strong>Egypt&rsquo;s Growing Electronic Scene</strong><br />According to Auf, Egypt&rsquo;s electronic music scene continues to expand rapidly.<br />&ldquo;It&rsquo;s booming, but it&rsquo;s still developing,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;Egyptian DJs are exploring more opportunities internationally, and we have amazing talent here.&rdquo;<br />He believes Egyptian audiences bring a unique energy to live events.<br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve seen crowds around the world, but Egyptians definitely know how to party,&rdquo; he says.<br /><strong>What&rsquo;s Next?</strong><br />Auf revealed that he is currently working on a remix with producer Zany from Fade Republic, which is expected to be released next month.<br />He also confirmed an upcoming performance in Egypt alongside Magdalena on 16 May.</p>

<p>The authority said daytime conditions will be very hot nationwide, while temperatures at night are expected to remain moderate to warm.</p>
<p>Strong winds, ranging between 35 and 45km/h, are also forecast to affect several regions, including the Western Desert, the northern coast, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, Sinai, Upper Egypt, Lower Egypt, and parts of the Red Sea governorate.</p>
<p>The EMA warned that the active winds could stir up sand and dust, reducing horizontal visibility to below 1,000 metres in some areas.</p>

<p>FIFA has approved a series of regulatory and financial changes ahead of the 2026 World Cup, including amendments to disciplinary rules and a significant increase in payments for participating teams.</p>

<p>A lot of creatives are changing the game; AI isn&rsquo;t the enemy, it&rsquo;s the new collaborator. Producers are using it to test weird sounds they&rsquo;d never try otherwise. Content creators lean on it to beat blank-page panic or tighten a messy first draft.</p>
<p>Grimes basically set the tone for this mindset. She told fans to go ahead and use AI versions of her voice in their music, just split the royalties if it makes money. No lawsuits, no drama. Just, &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s see what happens.&rdquo;</p>
<p>&nbsp;But then there&rsquo;s the other side. Those viral AI tracks with &ldquo;Drake&rdquo; and &ldquo;The Weeknd&rdquo; last year? Neither artist stepped in a booth. It blew up the whole conversation around consent, identity, and who actually owns a sound.</p>
<p><strong>The Copyright Mess</strong></p>
<p>This is where it gets tense. AI models train on massive amounts of existing work; songs, scripts, paintings, and photos. A lot of it is copyrighted. Most of it was used without permission.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Cairo&rsquo;s creative scene is already testing the waters. Open TikTok or Instagram and you&rsquo;ll find young Egyptian producers dropping AI-assisted beats, designers using it for quick edits, and digital artists experimenting with new styles.</p>
<p>&nbsp;For a lot of them, AI isn&rsquo;t scary. It&rsquo;s leverage. In a digital economy where speed and volume matter, being able to pitch three solid concepts before noon instead of one by Thursday is a game-changer.</p>
<p>The questions we&rsquo;re still figuring out: Who&rsquo;s teaching people how to use these tools well? Are agencies, labels, and studios ready for how fast this is moving? And if access isn&rsquo;t equal, who gets left behind?</p>
<p><strong>We&rsquo;ve Been Here Before</strong></p>
<p>Every major creative tool started with panic. Photoshop was going to kill photography. Auto-Tune was going to kill real singers. Drum machines were going to kill drummers.</p>
<p>One analyst told the BBC: &ldquo;Every innovation in creative tools starts with fear. Then we realize it just expands what&rsquo;s possible. The human part doesn&rsquo;t disappear, it just moves.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Nesma shared her personal perspective on her role: &ldquo;So I&rsquo;m at the British Council, but how I define myself is as an educator, an education researcher. I&rsquo;ve been working in higher education for 15 years, which technically means research around higher education opportunities within the region, with the aim of informing the UK sector of these opportunities and then bridging, making connections, and building these relationships between the UK, Egypt, and beyond.&rdquo;</p>
<p>When asked why education is such a passion, she said, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always been a lifelong learner. Education is at the core of development, supporting people to find what they&rsquo;re meant to do and helping nations meet their goals. Knowledge is power, regardless of where it comes from.&rdquo;</p>
<p><strong>What is Transnational Education?</strong></p>
<p>The discussion then turned to transnational education (TNE). Nesma explained: &ldquo;Transnational education is when a university in one country offers a programme or a degree in another country, physically moving to meet students where they are. Instead of Egyptian students travelling to get a degree in the UK, the UK institution comes to Egypt and delivers that in-country through different models.&rdquo;</p>
<p>She highlighted the accessibility of this model: &ldquo;This increases access to international education for students who can&rsquo;t travel for personal, family, or financial reasons. You get the benefits of an international degree without ever having to leave home.&rdquo;</p>
<p><strong>Models of Transnational Education</strong></p>
<p>On international branch campuses: &ldquo;This is one of the independent models of transnational education where a university expands to a new country, offering the same programmes and teaching methods, and bringing its expertise into a new context. Students graduate with one international degree that is very similar to what they would receive if they studied abroad.&rdquo;</p>
<p>On joint degrees: &ldquo;Joint degrees are when two universities come together to develop a programme. You have international expertise alongside local knowledge, creating something relevant to students and their context. It&rsquo;s co-created, combining the strengths of both institutions into one degree accredited by both.&rdquo;</p>
<p>On digital learning: &ldquo;This could be fully online learning, where you&rsquo;re in Egypt studying at a university abroad, which is still transnational education. There are also blended models combining online and face-to-face learning, usually involving a local partner and an international partner. The international side may develop the virtual learning environment and resources, while local expertise ensures the content is contextualised. Exams, for example, may take place in Egypt, even if systems are hosted abroad.&rdquo;</p>
<p><strong>Why Egypt is a Key Destination</strong></p>
<p>Egypt has become the fourth-largest host country globally for UK transnational education programmes, with around 38,000 students enrolled. Nesma explained the appeal: &ldquo;Egypt has 3.8 million students in higher education, expected to grow to 5 million by 2030. There&rsquo;s strong demand, and universities in Egypt are keen to partner with international counterparts. Students trust UK institutions, and government strategies highlight internationalisation as a priority.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The advantages extend beyond studying locally. Nesma highlighted global recognition and employability: &ldquo;You get a degree that can be used anywhere in the world without needing revalidation.
