He does not simply want people to dance; &nbsp;he wants them to feel the music. DJ and producer Nizar is preparing to deliver a special one-hour set for NileFM&rsquo;s DJ of the Week, blending his Zimbabwean upbringing and Egyptian roots into a distinctive musical experience shaped by Afrohouse, AfroTech, and melodic sounds.
For Nizar, being selected for the segment represents more than a professional milestone. It marks the fulfilment of a childhood ambition: performing on NileFM, the radio station he grew up listening to.
Ahead of the episode, NileFM spoke to Nizar about his musical journey, the emotions he aims to create through his productions, and an upcoming release with a German record label.
Listeners can tune in on Thursday at 10:00 PM for a one-hour set expected to take audiences on an immersive musical journey.
1. You were born in Zimbabwe and have Egyptian roots. How has this cultural mix influenced your identity and the sound you create as a DJ and producer? Being born in Zimbabwe and having Egyptian roots gave me a unique perspective on rhythm, culture, and emotion. Africa has such deep musical heritage, and Egypt has its own timeless melodies and spirit. That combination naturally shaped my sound. I love blending percussion, soul, groove, and emotion in a way that reflects both sides of who I am.

2. Your music blends Afrohouse, AfroTech, and Melodic House into immersive soundscapes. What is your creative process when building a track? My creative process usually starts with emotion. I ask myself what feeling I want people to experience. Then I build the groove first, because rhythm is the heartbeat of the track. After that I add melodies, textures, vocals, and atmosphere to create a journey. I always try to balance energy with emotion.
3. Your music is played around the world. How does it feel to see your sound travel globally, and what message or emotion do you hope listeners take away from it? It feels amazing and humbling to know music can travel beyond borders and connect people everywhere. My biggest goal is to share peace, joy, and love through sound. There is already so much negativity happening in the world, so I want my music to be a positive escape that uplifts people.
4. Could you take us through your journey? How did you start in music, and what made you decide to become a DJ and producer? My journey started from a deep love of music and discovering how powerful it is in bringing people together. I Practiced the electric guitar when I was young then I tried producing dubstep in 2012, djing&nbsp;inspired me because I loved creating moments and energy for people. Producing came before DJing, because I wanted to create my own sound and express emotions through music.
5. You are known for your remixes. What goes into your process when choosing a song to remix, and what makes a track the right fit for your style? I choose songs that already have strong emotion or memorable vocals. If I hear something that moves me, I know I can reimagine it in my own style. Then I add groove, Afro-inspired rhythm, and deeper atmosphere while respecting the original feeling of the song.
6. What challenges do you face when blending the deep energy of Afrohouse rhythms with emotional or motivational elements in your music? The challenge is finding the right balance. You want people to dance, but you also want them to feel something real. Sometimes too much energy can remove emotion, and too much emotion can lose the groove. I always work to make both elements support each other naturally.
7. After being selected as DJ of the Week on NileFM, how does that recognition feel for you? Can listeners expect any surprises during today&rsquo;s show or set? It feels like a real honor and I&rsquo;m very grateful for the recognition. NileFM is such a respected platform, I used to listen to NileFM while going to school, so being selected means a lot to me. Listeners can definitely expect good energy, emotional moments, fresh sounds, and a few surprises in the set.

8. Your music often creates an emotional journey. How do you manage to build that atmosphere of Afro emotional storytelling through sound and rhythm? I focus on progression and feeling. Every sound should have a purpose. I use melodies, vocals, drums, and tension to tell a story from beginning to end. Afro rhythms bring movement, while melodies bring emotion, and together they create a journey.
9. What can we expect from you next? Are there any upcoming releases or collaborations you can share? There is a lot coming soon. I&rsquo;m excited to share that I&rsquo;ll be releasing a new track soon with a German label. I&rsquo;m also working on more music that continues to blend groove, emotion, and uplifting energy, so people can expect fresh releases and new sounds.

With the release of the upcoming biopic &ldquo;Michael&rdquo;, interest in the legendary pop star Michael Jackson has surged once again. Across social media, fans are revisiting the outfits that helped define his global image, from glittering gloves to military-style jackets.
Over the years, Jackson&rsquo;s wardrobe became as recognisable as his music and choreography. Here are some of the key pieces that shaped his signature style.
The red leather jacket One of Jackson&rsquo;s most recognisable outfits appeared in the Thriller music video in 1983. The bold red leather jacket, with its distinctive V-shaped black detailing and structured shoulders, quickly became a cultural symbol.

Based on “El Le’ba”: Games You Can Play with Your Friends

Nicolas Cage is returning to the comic book genre in the upcoming series 'Spider-Noir,' taking on a darker role as a private investigator in a noir-inspired version of the Spider-Man world.
Set in 1930s New York, the series offers a more grounded take on the superhero story, combining elements of detective drama with comic book themes.
Plot
The character of Spider-Man Noir exists in a darker version of the traditional Spider-Man story, set in a city shaped by crime, corruption and political power.
Cage plays a private investigator navigating this environment, caught between crime and justice while dealing with personal struggles. Early footage suggests the series focuses more on character and atmosphere than on traditional superhero action.

Release date
Spider-Noir is due to be released on 27 May 2026.
The series will be available in two formats: a black-and-white version inspired by classic noir cinema, and a full-colour version.
Two ways to watch
The black-and-white version aims to recreate the style of 1940s noir films, using shadow and contrast to emphasise atmosphere. The colour version presents a more conventional viewing experience.

From comics to screen
Spider-Man Noir first appeared in comics in 2009. Created by David Hine and Fabrice Sapolsky, this version of Peter Parker operates as a vigilante during the Prohibition era.
Unlike the traditional Spider-Man, this version is portrayed as more aggressive in his approach to crime.

At the heart of Ibiza, a life-changing moment pushed Egyptian DJ and producer Youssef Khalifa to pursue his passion for electronic music. Inspired by the island&rsquo;s legendary club scene, Khalifa later moved to Barcelona to study music production before returning to Egypt to build his career. Now, Khalifa will take listeners on a musical journey as he premieres his new track &ldquo;Sweet Fall&rdquo; exclusively on NileFM as DJ of the Week, airing at 10:00 PM. The one-hour set promises nostalgic influences blended with emotional electronic sounds. NileFM spoke with Khalifa to learn more about his musical journey and the story behind his new track &ldquo;Sweet Fall,&rdquo; which has already received support from DJs including Themba.
Your passion for electronic music was sparked during your travels across Europe, especially nights spent in Ibiza&rsquo;s iconic clubs. What inspired you to move to Barcelona in 2016 to study music production, and how did that experience shape your sound before returning to Egypt? Ibiza 2014 changed everything for me. The energy, the production level, the way music moves people at that scale, I knew I wanted to be part of that world seriously. Everywhere you go, there is electronic music playing, be it in the hotel lobby, taxi, or even pharmacies. Barcelona was the next step; it gave me the foundation I needed. I also went back to Ibiza in 2019 for a Point Blank course and got selected with a few other students to play at Destino Pacha, which was a massive moment. Coming back to Egypt, I brought all of that with me and mixed it with where I&rsquo;m from. That&rsquo;s basically my sound.

Was there a specific moment when you realized you wanted to become a DJ and music producer? Avicii at Ushuaia 2014 for sure. Being in those parties and watching how a DJ controls the energy, I didn&rsquo;t want to just be in the crowd. I wanted to understand music from the inside. I returned from this trip, downloaded a DAW, and began learning.
You often bring a nostalgic touch to your sets, remixing classics like &ldquo;El Alem Allah&rdquo; by Amr Diab and &ldquo;Youm Wara Youm&rdquo; by Samira Said. What attracts you to nostalgic tracks, and what are the challenges of giving them a fresh electronic twist? Those songs mean something to people. They&rsquo;re tied to real memories. The challenge is respecting that while rebuilding them in a completely different sonic space, you can&rsquo;t strip away what made them special.
How do you usually choose the tracks you remix or include in your sets? Gut feeling mostly. If something gives me a strong visual or emotional reaction when I hear it, I know it has potential. Sometimes I hear a snippet from an old track and instantly get the urge to remix it. For sets, I always want people to feel something when they&rsquo;re listening to my set or coming to the party I&rsquo;m playing at.

Dreamy vocals, a melody that hits, it&rsquo;s built for that sunrise or sunset moment. Something that stays with you after the set ends.

Speaking to NileFM, Yasmine Wahby reflects on her path from pianist to DJ and music producer. This transition began during the pandemic, opening the door to a more exploratory approach to sound. Alongside her music career, she also shares the inspiration behind Travelitegypt, a venture born from personal experience as a mother and a desire to simplify travel for families.
In this interview, she discusses the emotions she aims to evoke through her selections, the impact of being featured as &ldquo;DJ of the Week,&rdquo; and what lies ahead in her growing musical journey.
What does music represent to you? Music is the most honest form of expression I have. It&rsquo;s how I process emotions I can&rsquo;t always put into words. My whole life, music and songs have been tied to memories, events, stories, and even simple moments like car rides.
How did the transition from being a pianist to becoming a DJ happen? It wasn&rsquo;t a sudden shift; it was a natural progression. Piano was my foundation; it taught me discipline and how to truly understand music. During COVID, I took a music production course, and that&rsquo;s where things really shifted. I moved from interpreting music to creating it. DJing came naturally after that; it gave me freedom to explore crazy mashup ideas and blend melodically in any set I play.
How did you succeed in combining your passion for music with your love for exploration and travel? When I became a mother, I realized how complicated travel can feel, especially for women. That&rsquo;s where Travelitegypt came from; it wasn&rsquo;t just a business idea, it was a real need I experienced myself. I wanted to make travel lighter and more accessible for families.

If someone hears a track and it takes them somewhere mentally or emotionally, then I&rsquo;ve done my job. Not everyone comes to a gig feeling their best, and I love the idea that through music, I can shift that. How did you feel when you were selected as &ldquo;DJ of the Week&rdquo; on NileFM? It felt so rewarding, not just as recognition, but as validation of the journey. Being featured on NileFM meant a lot to me; it&rsquo;s a platform I&rsquo;ve always respected, so the recognition felt truly significant. A lot of what I do is very personal and intuitive, so being recognized on a platform like NileFM means it&rsquo;s resonating beyond my own space. That reassurance meant a lot, and it pushed me to keep going and stay true to my sound.
What&rsquo;s next for you? Are there any upcoming releases or collaborations your audience should look forward to? Right now, I&rsquo;m focused on pushing my sound further, both in my DJ sets and music production. I&rsquo;m working on a few collaborations that I&rsquo;m really excited about with Crazy Mashups.

With new players joining the squad, friendlies against leading international sides planned, and expectations rising among fans, the Pharaohs are working to build a team capable of competing on the global stage.
In an exclusive interview with Mohamed Morad on NileFM, the media coordinator of the Egypt national football team takes us behind the scenes of the preparations for the upcoming training camp, the possibility of dual-nationality players joining, and how the team is handling media pressure and rumours. He also reflects on recent results against Saudi Arabia and Spain, the importance of the upcoming friendly with Brazil, and the role of captain Mohamed Salah as Egypt prepares for its World Cup campaign.
When will the final squad list be announced?
The technical staff, led by head coach Hossam Hassan, is monitoring players across all clubs, and the evidence is that new players join the national team at every camp. The latest additions were Islam Issa, Haissem Hassan, Mohamed Alaa, the El Gouna goalkeeper, and Tarek Alaa of Zamalek. There is also a camp at the end of May for final preparations before the World Cup.

Haissem Hassan&rsquo;s addition is a boost for both the player and the national team. His call-up came after more than five years of discussions under previous coaches, but the credit goes to Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan.
Naturally, the Egypt national team is tracking a large number of dual-nationality professionals who have been monitored for a long time. Hossam Hassan requires his staff to prepare initial reports on these players, but whether they join the next camp ahead of the World Cup ultimately depends on the technical staff&rsquo;s view.
When will Egypt&rsquo;s World Cup training camp begin, and what are the key parts of the preparation programme?
The camp will start at the end of May. Coordination is under way between Ibrahim Hassan, the Football Association and the clubs&rsquo; league to confirm the final date, especially as the league season will end on 15 May for the teams competing for the title. There is also coordination to arrange a friendly in Egypt before travelling to the United States to face Brazil on 7 June.
There have been reports of offers received by Hossam Hassan. Is that true? How does he handle such offers while focusing on the national team?
A major European marketing company did approach Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan about a deal and confirmed there were two offers from national teams that will take part in the World Cup. However, the matter is closed as far as the technical staff are concerned. The focus remains entirely on Egypt&rsquo;s World Cup campaign.

The Egypt national team is always under pressure from fans and the media. How do you handle that inside the camp?
Fan and media pressure is normal for a team of Egypt&rsquo;s stature. Thankfully, we have a strong technical staff who have been through many similar situations with the national team, Al Ahly and Zamalek, and the same applies to the experienced players, including the overseas-based professionals. Everyone inside the camp is doing their utmost to present the best possible image. The clearest example was the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where the camp was professional and exemplary in all administrative and media matters.
After the win over Saudi Arabia and the draw with Spain, how have those results affected the players&rsquo; confidence and World Cup readiness?
Winning 4-0 against Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, in front of their own fans, and drawing with Spain, one of the world&rsquo;s best sides, is a huge achievement. It reflects well on both staff and players and has given them a significant morale boost ahead of the World Cup.
Could we see surprises in the squad list? Are there players who might appear for the first time?
Hossam Hassan has said in many press conferences: &ldquo;The door of the national team is open to any player who shines and proves himself.&rdquo; The evidence is the new faces who have joined under him, more than 20 players, including Mostafa Shobeir, Hossam Abdelmaguid, Ahmed Eid, Mahmoud Saber, Mohamed Shehata, Haissem Hassan, Ahmed Nabil Koka, Islam Issa, Osama Faisal, Mohamed Ismail, Zlaka, Khaled Sobhi, Marwan Othman, Mohamed Rabia, Mohamed Alaa, Tarek Alaa, Amr El-Gazzar, Nasser Mansy and Ahmed Oufa.

The relationship between Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan and the players is like that of brothers. The two are among the legends of Egyptian football and have been through many of these situations as players themselves, so they know very well how to relate to and manage players in the national team environment.
How does the team handle media controversy around certain star players at their clubs, particularly Mohamed Salah?
The national team operates according to a specific media system. Every individual within the team knows their media rights and responsibilities, and there is full coordination through team director Ibrahim Hassan and the media coordinator. A player of Mohamed Salah&rsquo;s stature knows his own rights and duties when it comes to the media and handles such matters professionally.

Egypt&rsquo;s friendly against Brazil is seen as the final rehearsal before the World Cup. What are the technical and media objectives of that match?
The technical staff always pushes for matches against leading national teams. In their very first camp, the staff faced Croatia, who were third in the world at the time, and more recently played Spain in a goalless draw in Spain. The Brazil friendly will serve as the final preparation before the World Cup.
Hours before important matches, rumours often spread about player transfers or club disputes. How do you keep the team focused?
The technical staff always separates players from any matters outside the camp. The players are experienced enough to set aside rumours and stay focused, especially in a major tournament like the World Cup.
What would you like to say to Egyptian fans ahead of the team&rsquo;s World Cup journey?
My message to Egyptian fans, the national team&rsquo;s number one support, is that I am always happy to see them in the stands. They provide an enormous boost to the team and the players, as we saw in many matches, most recently in the Egypt-Saudi Arabia friendly in Jeddah. The strong presence of the Egyptian community there had a major impact on our 4-0 win. I hope they continue to back us, attend the matches and support their national team through it all.

Speaking to NileFM, Mo Amer reflects on an unusual dual career as both a professional pilot and a DJ, bringing together precision and creativity in equal measure.
You started playing the piano at just six years old. Can you take us back to the moment when music first became a serious passion for you?
I actually started with music very early, learning piano and reading notes as a kid. But at some point, life took over, with work, responsibilities, and getting married&hellip; music slowly faded into the background.
The real turning point came in 2011, when my wife surprised me with a synthesizer for my birthday. It wasn&rsquo;t just a gift, it felt like she was reconnecting me with a part of myself I had almost forgotten.
From that point on, I started coming back to music, but it was on and off for a few years as I was still balancing work and life commitments.
Then COVID hit. As a pilot, I suddenly had time I&rsquo;d never had before, and I made a decision to either take this seriously, or let it go again.
That&rsquo;s when I committed fully. I went back to learning from scratch, studied production, took one-on-one sessions with professionals, and built everything step by step. That period is really when music stopped being a memory&hellip; and became part of my identity again.

You grew up during the golden era of trance in the early 2000s, inspired by artists such as Ti&euml;sto, Armin van Buuren, and Sasha. How did their music shape your sound as a producer today?
I grew up during what I&rsquo;d call the golden era of trance, and what really stayed with me wasn&rsquo;t just the sound, it was the feeling. Tracks from artists like Ti&euml;sto, Armin van Buuren, and Sasha gave me real goosebumps. It&rsquo;s that emotional lift that stays with you long after the track ends.
At some point, I started asking myself a simple question: if music can make me feel that way&hellip; why can&rsquo;t I create that for someone else?
That curiosity pushed me beyond just listening. I became obsessed with understanding how those moments are built. The tension, the release, and the melodies that connect emotionally.
Today, even though my sound has evolved more towards melodic and progressive house, that core idea never changed. I&rsquo;m always chasing that same emotional response.&nbsp;&nbsp;It&rsquo;s not&nbsp;&nbsp;just about making people dance, but making them feel something real.
Being both a professional pilot and a DJ is quite unique. How do you balance these two demanding careers, and do your travels influence your music?
Being a pilot and a DJ might seem like two completely different worlds, but for me, they actually complement each other.
Aviation is all about precision and discipline. You&rsquo;re trained to think ahead, stay calm under pressure, and execute everything with accuracy. Music, on the other hand, is where I allow myself to feel&hellip; it&rsquo;s more emotional and instinctive.
Traveling plays a big role in that balance. I&rsquo;ve had moments where I land in a city and realize one of my favorite artists is playing that night, and I get to experience it firsthand. Those moments are very inspiring, not just as a fan, but as a producer observing energy and crowd reactions.
At the same time, the quiet side of traveling is just as important. Layovers often become my creative space when I work on ideas or build sets.
In a way, the constant movement keeps me inspired, while the structure of my job keeps me grounded. It&rsquo;s a unique balance, but it&rsquo;s exactly what shapes me both as a person and as an artist.

Your tracks often blend melodic techno and progressive house with Middle Eastern influences. How important is your Egyptian and oriental heritage in shaping your musical identity?
As an Egyptian, my identity plays a big role in shaping my sound, but it wasn&rsquo;t something I forced from the beginning, it developed naturally.
I actually started with remixes, and I was always drawn to Arabic melodies that carry strong emotion. I wasn&rsquo;t interested in commercial pop hits, I was more focused on timeless melodies that already had a story and feeling behind them.
One of the tracks that really represents that connection for me is &ldquo;Elfarasha&rdquo;. It&rsquo;s a piece that brings back childhood memories and creates a very personal emotional response, and that&rsquo;s exactly what I look for when I choose what to reinterpret.
Over time, I realized that these elements aren&rsquo;t just references, they&rsquo;re part of my identity. Today, even in my original productions, I try to carry that same emotional depth and oriental character, but within a modern melodic and progressive house framework.
For me, it&rsquo;s not about blending genres randomly, it&rsquo;s about translating where I come from into a sound that feels authentic.
You began producing music in 2013 and even collaborated with Aly &amp; Fila early on. What was that experience like, and how did it impact your growth as a producer?
I actually had an idea back in 2009 that I couldn&rsquo;t stop thinking about, but at the time, I didn&rsquo;t have the tools or the technical knowledge to bring it to life.
I shared the idea with Fila, who&rsquo;s a childhood friend, and we brainstormed it together, but the project never moved forward.
A couple of years later, he called me unexpectedly and told me that while going through his old projects, he found that idea again and decided to work on it. The track ended up being featured as Tune of the Week on A State of Trance&nbsp;with Armin van Buuren.
That moment meant a lot to me, not just because of the recognition, but because it showed me that even without the technical skills at the time, I had a strong musical instinct.
It pushed me to take production seriously later on, knowing that if I combine that instinct with the right knowledge and discipline, I could create something meaningful on my own.
Tracks such as &ldquo;Elfarasha&rdquo;, &ldquo;All Alone&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Flight 001&rdquo; have gained strong attention online. If you had to choose one track that best represents you as an artist, which would it be, and why?
The track that represents me the most isn&rsquo;t released yet, and that&rsquo;s exactly why I believe in it.
It&rsquo;s called &ldquo;Man Ana&rdquo;, and it brings together everything I&rsquo;ve been building towards: emotion, storytelling, Arabic identity, and a melodic electronic sound that feels honest to who I am today.
This track is special because it&rsquo;s not just about production, it&rsquo;s about expression. The lyrics, the emotions and the atmosphere all come together to create something very personal.
I&rsquo;m also collaborating with Hend Abdelhalim on this project, which adds another layer of depth to it.
If I had to mention a released track, &ldquo;Elfarasha&rdquo; would be the closest, because of its emotional connection and the memories it carries. But &ldquo;Man Ana&rdquo; is really where I feel everything comes together as an artist.
You collaborated with actress Hend Abdelhalim. How did that collaboration come about, and what was the creative process like when working together?
Hend and I go way back, we&rsquo;re close friends, and I&rsquo;ve always believed she&rsquo;s incredibly talented, not just as an actress, but as a singer with a very distinctive and emotional voice.
We actually worked on a remix together around six years ago, but unfortunately it never saw the light due to copyright issues. That project always stayed in the back of my mind, I felt like we had something real that deserved a proper release.
When I was working on &ldquo;Man Ana&rdquo;, I knew it needed a voice that could carry both vulnerability and strength, and she was the first person that came to mind.
The moment I sent her the lyrics, her reaction was immediate. She connected with it on a very personal level, and from that point, the collaboration felt very natural.
This project feels like the right timing for both of us, not just to collaborate again, but to finally create something that truly represents what we&rsquo;re capable of together.
You&rsquo;re also a father. How do your children react to your music and DJ career?
Becoming a father changed my priorities completely. At one point, I stepped away from music because I wanted to be fully present for my family.
What&rsquo;s interesting is that they were also the reason I came back to it. Their support and encouragement gave me the push to reconnect with something I truly love.
Today, music is not separate from my family life, it&rsquo;s part of it. My kids love being around the studio, and we have these simple, goofy moments together that make everything feel very real and grounded.
In a way, they remind me why I do this, not just to create music, but to enjoy the process and stay connected to what matters most.
You organised the Sanctuary Music Festival in Ras Sedr back in 2019. What was the vision behind that festival, and would you consider bringing it back?
Back in 2019, the electronic music scene in Egypt was still relatively limited, with only a few major events like Sandbox Festival.
I saw an opportunity to create something different, especially in Ras Sudr. It&rsquo;s a unique location, slightly isolated, with great weather and a beautiful natural setting that felt perfect for a more immersive experience.
The vision behind Sanctuary wasn&rsquo;t just about music. It was about creating a full experience, a space where people could disconnect from the routine and feel part of something bigger.
From the lineup to the atmosphere, every detail was meant to contribute to that feeling. It wasn&rsquo;t easy, but it was a very rewarding experience, both creatively and personally.
It also allowed me to build strong connections with the artists involved, which was an important part of the journey.
You&rsquo;ve been selected as DJ of the Week on NileFM. What can listeners expect from your set, and is there any surprise you&rsquo;ve prepared for them?
For this set, I wanted to focus on energy that feels uplifting and accessible.
Since it&rsquo;s a radio show, I approached it differently from a club set. Most people will be listening in their cars or during their daily routine, so the idea was to create something that connects instantly.
I leaned more towards vocal-driven tracks, melodies that people can sing along to, hum, and genuinely enjoy without overthinking.
The goal is simple: I want people to feel good while listening. Whether they&rsquo;re driving, stuck in traffic, or just passing time, I want the music to put a smile on their face.
There might also be a few unexpected moments in the set, but overall, it&rsquo;s about creating a positive and memorable experience.

Egypt Weather | Temperatures Continue To Rise Across The Country – 30 April

FIFA has approved a series of regulatory and financial changes ahead of the 2026 World Cup, including amendments to disciplinary rules and a significant increase in payments for participating teams.
The decisions were confirmed by FIFA during a Council meeting ahead of the 76th FIFA Congress in Canada. The tournament is scheduled to begin on 11 June 2026.
USD 871 Million Allocated To Teams
FIFA has increased the financial distribution to the 48 participating teams by 15 percent, bringing the total allocation to USD 871 million.
Under the revised structure, preparation payments will rise from USD 1.5 million to USD 2.5 million per team, while qualification payments will increase from USD 9 million to USD 10 million.
Additional support, including subsidies for team delegations and enhanced ticketing allocations, will total more than USD 16 million.
FIFA said remaining revenues will continue to be redistributed to global football development through its 211 member associations.
Yellow Card Rule Changes Introduced
The governing body has also approved changes to disciplinary rules for the tournament. Single yellow cards will be cancelled after the group stage and again after the quarter-finals, reducing the risk of players missing later knockout matches due to accumulation.
New Player Conduct Regulations
Further updates include new rules addressing player behaviour, including measures relating to players leaving the field in protest at refereeing decisions, and guidance on covering the mouth when speaking to opponents during confrontations.
FIFA said the changes form part of efforts to modernise competition regulations ahead of what is expected to be the most expanded edition of the World Cup.

This morning, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi conducted an inspection tour of the construction works for the Pyramids Station project in Giza Governorate. This project is part of the first phase of the Metro Line 4. Upon his arrival at the project site, the President was received by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Transport Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Giza Governor Dr. Ahmed El-Ansary, as well as Japan&rsquo;s Ambassador to Cairo Iwai Fumio, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office in Egypt Mr. Ebisawa Yo, and representatives of the Egyptian companies implementing the project.
Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that President El-Sisi began his tour by inspecting the tunnel boring machine. The President then listened to a briefing by Chairman of the National Authority for Tunnels Dr. Tarek Goueily, regarding Metro Line 4 and the Pyramids Station project, which is part of its first phase and is scheduled to open in the first half of 2028. Dr. Goueily explained that Line 4 will serve as a key link connecting 6th of October City and New Cairo to the Greater Cairo Metro network. It will also provide transportation services to densely populated areas such as Haram, Faisal, Omraneya, Giza, Nasr City, Al-Azhar University, and New Cairo. He noted that the line is expected to carry around 2 million passengers daily and will integrate with the 6th of October Monorail.

Furthermore, the President inspected part of the prepared tunnel.
President El-Sisi also listened to an explanation from the Minister of Transport of the stages of tunnel preparation, including the installation of concrete segments, railway tracks, signaling systems, and electrical connections, as well as updates on the implementation of Metro Line 4 and the comprehensive plan by the Ministry of Transport to establish a network of sustainable green mass transit.

The Pyramids factor Al Ahly must also contend with Pyramids FC, who moved to 47 points after their victory. They currently hold a stronger head-to-head record against Al Ahly.
If Pyramids reach 53 points or more, a tie on points would likely favour them in the title race.
A three-way contest With only a few matches remaining, the title race remains open between Zamalek SC, Al Ahly SC and Pyramids FC.

Egyptian table tennis player Hana Goda has climbed to 20th place in the latest women&rsquo;s world rankings released by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), marking a historic milestone for the sport in Africa and the Arab world.
At just 18 years old, Goda is now the highest-ranked Egyptian, Arab and African woman in the history of the rankings. Her rise follows a breakthrough performance at the ITTF World Cup, where she reached the quarter-finals, the first player from her region to achieve that feat.
Reacting to the achievement, Goda shared a message on social media expressing gratitude, saying she was proud to be among the world&rsquo;s top 20 players for the first time.

Briefs that used to take hours get knocked out in minutes. A track idea you&rsquo;d sit on for days can be mocked up before your coffee gets cold. The tech is fast. The debate is faster.
From Threat to Teammate
A lot of creatives are changing the game; AI isn&rsquo;t the enemy, it&rsquo;s the new collaborator. Producers are using it to test weird sounds they&rsquo;d never try otherwise. Content creators lean on it to beat blank-page panic or tighten a messy first draft.
Grimes basically set the tone for this mindset. She told fans to go ahead and use AI versions of her voice in their music, just split the royalties if it makes money. No lawsuits, no drama. Just, &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s see what happens.&rdquo;
&nbsp;But then there&rsquo;s the other side. Those viral AI tracks with &ldquo;Drake&rdquo; and &ldquo;The Weeknd&rdquo; last year? Neither artist stepped in a booth. It blew up the whole conversation around consent, identity, and who actually owns a sound.
The Copyright Mess
This is where it gets tense. AI models train on massive amounts of existing work; songs, scripts, paintings, and photos. A lot of it is copyrighted. Most of it was used without permission.
That&rsquo;s why the lawsuits keep coming. The Writers Guild of America drew a hard line during the strikes: AI can&rsquo;t write your screenplay. Human writers stay in control.
Illustrators and photographers are saying the same thing. If your art was used to teach a machine that now generates images in your style, and you weren&rsquo;t asked or paid, that&rsquo;s a problem.&nbsp;
So What&rsquo;s Happening in Egypt?
&nbsp;Cairo&rsquo;s creative scene is already testing the waters. Open TikTok or Instagram and you&rsquo;ll find young Egyptian producers dropping AI-assisted beats, designers using it for quick edits, and digital artists experimenting with new styles.
&nbsp;For a lot of them, AI isn&rsquo;t scary. It&rsquo;s leverage. In a digital economy where speed and volume matter, being able to pitch three solid concepts before noon instead of one by Thursday is a game-changer.
The questions we&rsquo;re still figuring out: Who&rsquo;s teaching people how to use these tools well? Are agencies, labels, and studios ready for how fast this is moving? And if access isn&rsquo;t equal, who gets left behind?
We&rsquo;ve Been Here Before
Every major creative tool started with panic. Photoshop was going to kill photography. Auto-Tune was going to kill real singers. Drum machines were going to kill drummers.
One analyst told the BBC: &ldquo;Every innovation in creative tools starts with fear. Then we realize it just expands what&rsquo;s possible. The human part doesn&rsquo;t disappear, it just moves.&rdquo;
AI can generate, remix, and suggest all day. But it doesn&rsquo;t get obsessed with a weird idea at 2 am. It doesn&rsquo;t have taste. It doesn&rsquo;t have a point of view or a story it needs to tell.
Bottom Line
So maybe the question isn&rsquo;t &ldquo;Can AI be creative?&rdquo;
It&rsquo;s &ldquo;Can we stay creative enough to use it right and make sure it doesn&rsquo;t use us?&rdquo;

Is AI Replacing Creativity or Supercharging It? How AI Tools Are Changing Music, Art, and Everyday Life

Egypt&rsquo;s Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, has announced the launch of a nationwide medical and ambulance plan for Eid al-Fitr 2026, aimed at ensuring readiness across the health system during the holiday period.
The ministry said more than 700 government hospitals have increased emergency preparedness, with emergency departments and operating theatres functioning around the clock as travel and public gatherings rise.
Ambulance Services and Rapid Response
The plan includes enhanced deployment by the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, with around 3,000 ambulances operating across governorates and an additional 1,200 vehicles positioned at key locations.
Ambulances have been stationed near main roads, public squares, mosques, Eid prayer areas, parks, and other gathering points. Twenty-seven emergency rooms are linked to a central control centre to enable real-time monitoring and dispatch, while regional officials oversee high-traffic areas.

Focus on Major Roads
Authorities say priority has been given to major routes, including the coastal road between Damietta and Matrouh, the Cairo-Alexandria desert road, the agricultural road, as well as routes in South Sinai, the Red Sea, and Upper Egypt.
More than 600 fixed and mobile ambulance points have been deployed along these roads to allow rapid response to accidents.
Hospital Preparedness
Hospitals have also increased capacity in emergency and intensive care units. Around 250 facilities have been designated as primary referral centres on highways, supported by 54 rapid response teams for large-scale incidents.
Blood banks have been supplied with an additional 40,000 units, and medical stocks have been reinforced to meet potential demand.
Public Health Measures
The preventive medicine sector has intensified inspections of more than 35,000 food outlets, including sweet shops, restaurants, hotels, parks, and public transport hubs.
Around 1,200 inspection teams have been deployed to monitor compliance with health and safety standards.
Monitoring and Public Guidance
A central operations room will operate круглосуточно to monitor implementation of the plan.
The ministry has also urged the public to follow health guidelines, with the hotline 137 available for medical enquiries and emergency assistance throughout the Eid holiday.

Nesma Mostafa, Head of MENA Higher Education Insights and Student Mobility at the British Council, joined Rob and Sally on &ldquo;The Big Fast&rdquo; this Tuesday to discuss the evolving landscape of higher education in Egypt and the MENA region. Airing from 8 to 10 AM, the conversation explored international collaboration, student mobility, and the benefits of transnational education for learners seeking global opportunities without leaving home.
Defining Herself as an Educator
Nesma shared her personal perspective on her role: &ldquo;So I&rsquo;m at the British Council, but how I define myself is as an educator, an education researcher. I&rsquo;ve been working in higher education for 15 years, which technically means research around higher education opportunities within the region, with the aim of informing the UK sector of these opportunities and then bridging, making connections, and building these relationships between the UK, Egypt, and beyond.&rdquo;
When asked why education is such a passion, she said, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always been a lifelong learner. Education is at the core of development, supporting people to find what they&rsquo;re meant to do and helping nations meet their goals. Knowledge is power, regardless of where it comes from.&rdquo;
What is Transnational Education?
The discussion then turned to transnational education (TNE). Nesma explained: &ldquo;Transnational education is when a university in one country offers a programme or a degree in another country, physically moving to meet students where they are. Instead of Egyptian students travelling to get a degree in the UK, the UK institution comes to Egypt and delivers that in-country through different models.&rdquo;
She highlighted the accessibility of this model: &ldquo;This increases access to international education for students who can&rsquo;t travel for personal, family, or financial reasons. You get the benefits of an international degree without ever having to leave home.&rdquo;
Models of Transnational Education
On international branch campuses: &ldquo;This is one of the independent models of transnational education where a university expands to a new country, offering the same programmes and teaching methods, and bringing its expertise into a new context. Students graduate with one international degree that is very similar to what they would receive if they studied abroad.&rdquo;
On joint degrees: &ldquo;Joint degrees are when two universities come together to develop a programme. You have international expertise alongside local knowledge, creating something relevant to students and their context. It&rsquo;s co-created, combining the strengths of both institutions into one degree accredited by both.&rdquo;

Exams, for example, may take place in Egypt, even if systems are hosted abroad.&rdquo;
Why Egypt is a Key Destination
Egypt has become the fourth-largest host country globally for UK transnational education programmes, with around 38,000 students enrolled. Nesma explained the appeal: &ldquo;Egypt has 3.8 million students in higher education, expected to grow to 5 million by 2030. There&rsquo;s strong demand, and universities in Egypt are keen to partner with international counterparts. Students trust UK institutions, and government strategies highlight internationalisation as a priority.&rdquo;

The advantages extend beyond studying locally. Nesma highlighted global recognition and employability: &ldquo;You get a degree that can be used anywhere in the world without needing revalidation. Students also develop critical thinking, leadership, communication, and intercultural skills that are highly valued by employers.&rdquo;
She also emphasised the British Council&rsquo;s role: &ldquo;We work with governments, institutions, and learners. We help ensure supportive regulations, bring stakeholders together through networking, and guide students on accessing opportunities. Egypt’s Health Minister Hails Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Life-Saving Cardiac Work

Egypt&rsquo;s General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) has granted full and preliminary accreditation to 32 health facilities across the country, according to decisions issued by the Supreme Committee for the Accreditation of Health Facilities.
The move is part of efforts to strengthen quality and patient safety standards in line with internationally recognised benchmarks set by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
Officials say the accreditations aim to improve the efficiency of healthcare institutions and prepare them for integration into Egypt&rsquo;s Universal Health Insurance system, which seeks to expand access to safe and high-quality medical services nationwide.
As part of preparations for the system&rsquo;s second phase, Minya Governorate is expected to be among the first areas to implement the programme. The Supreme Committee renewed preliminary accreditation for Minya Oncology Center and granted preliminary accreditation to several hospitals in the governorate, including Samalut Oncology Hospital, El Adwa Central Hospital and Mallawi Liver and Gastroenterology Hospital.
The General Military Hospital in Alexandria, affiliated with the Armed Forces Medical Services, also received preliminary accreditation in accordance with GAHAR standards, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen quality and patient safety in healthcare delivery.
Officials say the latest accreditations represent another step in Egypt&rsquo;s broader strategy to standardise healthcare services, improve patient outcomes and prepare facilities for nationwide implementation of the Universal Health Insurance system.
