<p>Following a flurry of publicity that included the announcement of a new album and tour, Usher lit up Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas during Super Bowl LIII.</p>
<p>Usher's selection as the performer of the Super Bowl was based on his extensive career spanning several decades, he has consistently demonstrated his abilities as a showman and entertainer, whether in live performances, music videos, or acting roles. And Usher delivered to the audience precisely what they've come to expect from him during his panting performance: perspiration, dancing routines, and an endless supply of classics.</p>

<p>After finishing his 100-show "My Way" residency in Las Vegas, Usher announced a North American tour and released his eighth full-length album, "Coming Home," on Friday.</p>
<p>The show's more energetic tempo was softened by Alicia Keys, the first guest of the evening. She performed a rendition of her classic song "If I Ain't Got You", before she and Usher performed their 2004 hit song "My Boo".&nbsp;</p>
<p>Jermaine Dupri gave an introduction before Usher launched into a run of hits, including "Confessions Pt. II," "Burn," and "U Got It Bad,", then H.E.R. made an appearance with an electric guitar and played a solo as Usher disappeared to change into a new outfit. To the amazement of many, he reappeared wearing rollerskates and performed his hit song "OMG" with Will.I'm.&nbsp;</p>
