This summer&rsquo;s Club World Cup is shaping up to be unlike any previous edition&mdash;not just because of the expanded format featuring 32 teams, but also due to the exciting entertainment added to the lineup. For the first time in the tournament&rsquo;s history, a halftime show will take place during the final match on 13th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and the performers are nothing short of global superstars: Tems, J Balvin and Doja Cat.
Colombian singer J Balvin shared his excitement in a statement, saying, &ldquo;From Medell&iacute;n to MetLife &mdash; I&rsquo;m honored to headline the first-ever halftime show of the Club World Cup final. It&rsquo;s a historic moment, for me, for Latin culture and for every kid who dreams big.&rdquo; Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems also spoke about the moment, adding, &ldquo;We&rsquo;re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment&mdash;to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings and improve the lives of millions of children.&rdquo; Meanwhile, Doja Cat, known for her high-energy performances, is set to bring her signature style to one of the most-watched global sporting events of the year.
The halftime show will also have a philanthropic mission. It will support the Global Citizen Education Fund, with the goal of raising $100 million to help provide children worldwide with access to quality education and football. As part of the initiative, one dollar from every ticket sold to Club World Cup matches in the U.S. will go directly to the fund.

All three performers have past ties to Global Citizen events. J Balvin has appeared in several virtual concerts during the pandemic, including &ldquo;One World: Together at Home&rdquo; and &ldquo;Vax Live.&rdquo; Doja Cat previously headlined major festivals in New York and Paris, while Tems performed on the Global Citizen Festival stage in Accra, Ghana, in 2022.
