A press conference was held on Wednesday morning, the 8th of October, to announce the details of the first edition of The Pyramids Echo Festival, held under the slogan &ldquo;Cradle of Civilizations&hellip; Nexus of Arts and Cultures.&rdquo; The event will take place at the foot of the Giza Pyramids from the 24th to the 30th of November. Ahmed Abouzahra, Chairman of the Festival Committee of "The Pyramids Echo Festival," stated that the idea for the festival began about a year ago when Egypt hosted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for two concerts at the Grand Egyptian Museum. He explained, &ldquo;We thought about how to give this kind of art its due appreciation and how to elevate the public&rsquo;s artistic taste in Egypt.&rdquo;
 He added that the festival will feature six world-class Egyptian concerts at the foot of the Pyramids. The lineup includes world-renowned pianist Lang Lang performing at the opening concert and celebrated Kazakh singer Dimash Kudaibergen closing the festival. There will also be a concert dedicated to the works of the late Egyptian composer Ammar El Sherei and contemporary composer Hesham Nazih, as well as a joint performance by Lebanese singers Abeer Nehme and Faia Younan. Another highlight will be the &ldquo;Gala Night&rdquo; concert featuring Egyptian musicians who have achieved international recognition in classical music.

Hosting the festival in front of the pyramids will undoubtedly attract global attention. For this first edition, we wanted to focus on musical compositions, as they are the foundation before singing. In future editions, we will feature more international names while maintaining the highest artistic standards.&rdquo; The press conference was attended by Ahmed Abouzahra, Chairman of the Festival Committee; Dr. Khaled Dagher from the festival&rsquo;s Supreme Committee; former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Zahi Hawass; TV presenter Mervat El Kafas; Sylvia El Naffady, founder and editor-in-chief of El Beit magazine; the head of corporate communications at CIB Bank; and Ainur Botbayeva, representative of the Kazakh ambassador.
