Legendary hip-hop producer and founding member of the celebrated rap group N.W.A., Dr. Dre has revealed that he turned down the chance to work with music icons such as Prince, and Michael Jackson.
In a recent interview with the comedian Kevin Hart in &ldquo;<a href="https://www.peacocktv.com/unavailable">Hart to Hear Show</a>&rdquo;, Dre, opened up about turning down the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned music artists, saying &ldquo;They just asked me to work with them and I just was like, &lsquo;What am I going to do with them?'&rdquo;.
The multi-grammy-winning producer explained his reasoning of bowing out from working with them saying, &ldquo;These are my heroes. &hellip; I like the idea of what I grew up listening to and I want to keep it like that&rdquo;.

It&rsquo;s worth mentioning that Dr. Dre has managed through the years to discover and bring to light some of the most prominent and acclaimed artists, most notably Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar.
&ldquo;The Chronic&rdquo; artist also said that he prefers working with newer artists, saying, &ldquo;My entire life and career has been dealing with and working with new artists. That&rsquo;s what I like. Nobody comes in with an agenda. It&rsquo;s a ball of clay when they walk in the room. You can just form it and do what you want. That&rsquo;s what I want. Everybody else, especially my heroes, they&rsquo;re coming in and there&rsquo;s a set plan as to how the shit should sound&rdquo;.
