The Voice of Egypt Summit was launched with an international presence under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Tourism Promotion Authority.
The summit aims to focus on tourism development, present ambitious experiences and plans, and attract foreign investments to Egypt.
Narrative Summit 2023 launched today in Soma Bay on the Red Sea coast, under the title Egypt Forever Forward, amid the participation of a large group of experts and local and international specialists, to present constructive visions and ideas that contribute to building national identity, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion and the Red Sea Governorate, and in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce and UN Women.
Lamia Kamel, former Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Promotion and founder of the Voice of Egypt Summit, stated that the summit this year brings together an elite group of experts, officials, and senior businessmen, including speakers and partners from Egypt and the world, to work together to advance tourism development by presenting experiences and ambitious plans to develop this sector and attract foreign investments to the country.
Tourism, major investment projects, and encouraging and supporting the private sector and entrepreneurs to develop their projects and create partnerships, will highlight the positive image of Egypt.
Kamel expressed her happiness at launching the &ldquo;Voice of Egypt Summit&rdquo; after a 3-year hiatus due to the epidemic. The Summit is launching in a new form, with an international and regional dimension, and on the Red Sea coast to focus on tourism development in Egypt and the role of the private sector in attracting foreign investments as tourism is a profitable currency in the development process. Also, she emphasized the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors.
Kamel praised the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the various ministries and bodies in the field of tourism.
Kamel thanked Amr El-Kady, Executive Director of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, for sponsoring this summit, which includes diverse and rich sessions that reflect different cultures. This is our vision at the Tourism Authority, as we aim to raise growth rates in international tourism traffic coming to Egypt and highlight the real picture of Egypt&rsquo;s cultural history.
Amr El-Kady thanked those organizing the Voice of Egypt Summit, praising the summit&rsquo;s role in marketing investment opportunities in Egypt and enhancing the role of the private sector. Ibrahim Al-Mesiri, CEO of Soma Bay, said: &ldquo;We are very happy that &ldquo;Soma Bay&rdquo; is hosting the Voice of Egypt Summit, which shares with us the goal of marketing investment opportunities in the Egyptian market to the world, indicating that tourism is one of the most important sources of national income for Egypt because our country enjoys all the elements that attract tourism in terms of climate, cultural and geographical diversity.&rdquo;

Ibrahim El Missiri confirmed that the company succeeded in confronting the challenges it faced in the tourism sector, most notably the coronavirus epidemic, due to our commitment to implementing the concept of sustainability, indicating that there is an increasing demand for environmentally friendly properties such as energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and the use of materials.
