The US dollar strengthened against the Egyptian pound on Thursday, 2 April 2026, according to the latest data from the National Bank of Egypt (NBE).
The currency traded at EGP 54.27, up from EGP 53.57 in the previous session, marking a modest depreciation of the Egyptian pound.
The increase occurred amid relatively subdued activity in the foreign exchange market, as traders continued to monitor economic developments and shifts in demand for foreign currency.
