Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, the Minister of International Cooperation, received the award for "The Most Distinguished Minister of International Cooperation in Africa for 2022&rdquo; during &ldquo;The Visionary Leaders Annual Summit&rdquo; which is an honoring ceremony for the most influential African leaders for the year 2022.
The ceremony took place in the American capital, Washington, and coincides with the second American-African Summit hosted by the United States of America in the presence of the American President and leaders of African countries.
The honoring of Dr. Rania Al-Mashat comes in appreciation of her efforts in advancing multilateral cooperation during 2022, and her integral role in reformulating the mechanisms of international cooperation, through initiatives aimed at achieving national goals while ensuring their consistency with the UN goals of sustainable development.&nbsp;
Dr. Rania Al-Mashat contributed to helping the launch of innovative initiatives to mobilize funding and international support for climate issues and green transformation on a national and international scale during Egypt&rsquo;s hosting of COP27 (The United Nations Climate Conference).
The award was presented by Jennifer G. Cooke, director of the Institute for African Studies at George Washington University, in the presence of many representatives of international financing institutions, including the World Bank Group, the African Export-Import Bank, the African Development Bank, the US Agency for International Development, and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, along with students and researchers from major American universities, representatives of the US government, and the American Chamber of Commerce.
