Dozens of Arab and international actors, musicians, filmmakers, athletes, and social media influencers gathered on Saturday evening at Bakr al-Sheddi Theater in Boulevard Riyadh City for the highly anticipated Joy Awards, in it's third year.

Joy Awards has quickly become one of the region’s most prestigious events, honoring talents across film, TV, sports, and even social media.

This year's edition of the Joy Awards in particular witnessed a significant presence of major international celebrities, such as Mel Gibson, Amitabh Bachchan, Jean Reno, Michael Bay, Georgina Rodriguez, Salman Khan, John Cena, and Rema.

Anthony Hopkins

The two-time Academy Award winner, Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Joy Awards.

The iconic British actor took to Instagram to show his gratitude, saying, "Thank you Joy Awards for honoring me with the Lifetime Achievement Award. We depart this beautiful city with gratitude for the kindness and generosity bestowed upon us".

Kevin Costner

Another winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Joy Awards was the American actor, filmmaker, and musician, Kevin Costner.

Kevin Costner has an unparalleled legacy in Hollywood, as he stared in many iconic movies over the years such as "Dances 2ith Wolves", "The Body Guard", "JFK", and "The Untouchables" among many more, which earned him throughout his career two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Eva Longoria

Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria, received the Personality of the Year award.

She expressed her happiness through instagram, and she said, "Thank you so much Joy Awards for the recognition of @flaminhotmovie What a beautiful night celebrating artists from around the world! Honored to share the stage with Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Costner, and Jean Reno!! Be still my heart!".

Alia Bhatt

Bollywood superstar, Alia Bhatt, was awarded the Honorary Entertainment Makers Award, and in her accepting speech she shared her love for cinema and said, "It’s truly an extraordinary night. I’m obsessed with movies, it’s all I know. I’ve said this before, I think when I was born, I came out on ‘Lights, camera, action’. That’s how much cinema means to me. One of the things, if we are talking about joy, one of the greatest things in our lives is love. So tonight when I go back home, I take back with me the love of the movies and the love that I felt here in Riyadh. So thank you so much, and here’s to the magic of movies".
