Iconic Hollywood star, Gena Rowlands, known for her powerful performances in movies such as&nbsp;&ldquo;A Woman Under the Influence&rdquo; and "The Notebook", died at the age of 94.&nbsp;
No cause of death was given, and her death was confirmed by the office of her son&rsquo;s agent.
Rowlands' son Nick Cassavetes, who also directed &ldquo;The Notebook,&rdquo; shared last that the four-time Emmy winner and two-time Oscar nominee had been diagnosed with Alzheimer&rsquo;s.&nbsp;
The late actress won Four Emmys for her performances in "The Betty Ford Story", "Face of a Stranger", "Hysterical Blindness", and "The Incredible Mrs Ritchie".
Rowlands was also nominated for two Academy Awards, for her roles in "A Woman Under the Influence", and "Gloria", both movies were directed by her&nbsp;former husband John Cassavetes.
It's worth mentioning that Gena Rowlands quit acting in 2015,&nbsp; and she was given an honorary Academy Award for her long and illustrious acting career.
