Alexandria Mediterranean Countries Film Festival selected the top 100 romantic films in the history of Egyptian cinema, which comes as a part of the 40th edition of the film festival, scheduled to take place from the 1st to the 5th of October.
The main theme of the 40th edition of the film festival is "Romance".&nbsp;

52 critics, writers, and media personalities took part in the selection process of this list, which is going to be published and distributed in a booklet during the upcoming edition of the film festival.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The 1980s film "Habiby Da'iman", starring&nbsp;Nour El-Sherif, and directed by&nbsp;Hussein Kamal topped the list, meanwhile, "The Empty Pillow" starring&nbsp;Abdel Halim Hafez came in second place, and 1965 film "Aghla Min Hayaty" came in third.&nbsp;&nbsp;
