<p>The filming style? Atmospheric, gritty, and soaked in the bleak beauty of the Yorkshire moors. With cinematographer Linus Sandgren (La La Land, Saltburn) behind the lens, expect every frame to feel like a painting&mdash;only one with thorns.</p>
<p><strong>Why the Backlash?</strong></p>
<p>Fans of the novel have voiced concerns&mdash;mainly around casting. Elordi&rsquo;s tall, glossy frame doesn&rsquo;t scream &ldquo;dark-skinned foundling of unknown origin,&rdquo; and Robbie is older than Catherine was meant to be. But casting director Kharmel Cochrane has been vocal: &ldquo;We cast actors who could embody the characters&rsquo; spirit, not just their surface.&rdquo;</p>
