The Egyptian action-comedy Ahmed w Ahmed&nbsp;is extending its record-breaking streak at the box office, earning EGP 2,227,000 in its latest run with more than 14,000 tickets sold. The film now leads the chart of top-grossing Egyptian titles currently in theatres, bringing its total revenue to EGP 33 million to date.
Box Office Rankings: &lsquo;Ahmed w Ahmed&rsquo; Leads by a Wide Margin
Following &lsquo;Ahmed w Ahmed,&rsquo; &lsquo;The Project X&rsquo; claimed second place with EGP 519,000 in revenue from 4,000 tickets sold. In third place was &lsquo;Restart,&rsquo; which brought in EGP 429,000 from 3,000 tickets. The film &lsquo;In Broad Daylight&rsquo; ranked fourth with only EGP 23,000 from 174 tickets, while &lsquo;Siko Siko&rsquo; came last, earning nearly EGP 19,000 with just 131 tickets sold.
In total, Egyptian films showing in cinemas on that day brought in EGP 3,218,000, marking a 22% decrease compared to the previous day&rsquo;s box office revenue.
