Luxor welcomed a high-profile visitor on Saturday as Tiffany Trump, the daughter of US President Donald Trump, arrived in the historic city for a cultural tour of some of Egypt&rsquo;s most renowned archaeological sites.
Accompanied by her husband, businessman Michael Boulos, the visit focused on exploring key landmarks that reflect the depth and legacy of ancient Egyptian civilisation.
Morning Visit to the Valley of the Kings
Dr Mahmoud Moussa, Director of Qurna Antiquities, told <a href="https://www.nogoumfm.net/2026/02/%d8%ae%d8%a7%d8%b5-%d8%aa%d9%81%d8%a7%d8%b5%d9%8a%d9%84-%d8%b2%d9%8a%d8%a7%d8%b1%d8%a9-%d8%aa%d9%8a%d9%81%d8%a7%d9%86%d9%8a-%d8%aa%d8%b1%d8%a7%d9%85%d8%a8-%d9%84%d9%85%d8%b9%d8%a8%d8%af%d9%8a-%d8%a7/">Nogoum FM</a> that the couple arrived in Luxor on Friday and began their tour early the following morning on the West Bank.
Their first stop was the Valley of the Kings, where they were given a detailed briefing on the importance of the royal necropolis, which includes 64 tombs carved into the surrounding mountains. Among the highlights was the tomb of Tutankhamun, with guides outlining the story of the young pharaoh and the enduring global fascination with his discovery and legacy.
Hatshepsut&rsquo;s Temple Draws Admiration
The tour then continued to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. The site&rsquo;s distinctive terraced design and dramatic setting left a strong impression, as guides recounted the reign of the female pharaoh and the historical significance of the monument she commissioned.
Striking Colours at Nefertari&rsquo;s Tomb
At the tomb of Queen Nefertari, attention turned to artistic detail. The vivid colours and finely preserved wall inscriptions prompted visible admiration, with the couple pausing to take photographs and reflect on the craftsmanship and imagination of ancient Egyptian artists. The tomb was described as a powerful example of the creativity and skill of the era.
Extended Visit Inside Karnak
The final stop was the Karnak Temple complex on the east bank of Luxor. Dr Abdel Khaleq Abdel Hamid Helmy, Director General of Karnak Antiquities, said Tiffany Trump expressed great happiness while touring the vast site, praising Egypt&rsquo;s heritage as both magnificent and inspiring.
The towering columns and monumental structures sparked a series of questions from the couple about the origins of the massive stones, how they were transported, and the time and effort required to construct the complex.
What was initially planned as a scheduled visit extended beyond its timeframe as their interest deepened and discussions with guides continued. Before leaving, Tiffany Trump said she hoped to return to Luxor, echoing a sentiment shared by many visitors drawn to the city&rsquo;s enduring historical appeal.
