<p>After a long wait, fans have received a major update on the final chapter of the "Fast &amp; Furious" saga. The series, which began in 2001, is set to conclude in 2028, with Vin Diesel revealing new details about the upcoming film for the first time.</p>
<p><strong>"The Best Script I've Read in Decades"</strong></p>
<p>Diesel took to Instagram to share his reaction after reading the script for the upcoming film, now officially titled "Fast Forever". Calling it the strongest screenplay he has read in years, the actor wrote: "You have no idea. When March 17th, 2028 comes, you will thank God you got to see the first one in theatres this summer. I just read the Fast Forever script by Mike Leslie. It is the best script I have read in decades. I am still crying."</p>
<p>His comments have fuelled anticipation for what is expected to be the franchise's final chapter.</p>

<p><strong>Official Release Date Confirmed</strong></p>
<p>Alongside his post, Diesel confirmed that "Fast Forever" is scheduled for release in cinemas on 17 March 2028, officially revealing both the film's title and release date.</p>
<p><strong>What Is "Fast Forever" About?</strong></p>
<p>"Fast Forever" continues the story following 2023's "Fast X", directed by Louis Leterrier. The sequel had originally been expected to be released in 2025 before being delayed.</p>
<p>The previous film starred Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster and Sung Kang, alongside Jason Statham, John Cena, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson and Alan Ritchson.</p>
<p>While plot details remain under wraps, the film is expected to bring one of Hollywood's most successful action franchises to a close.</p>
<p><strong>The Franchise's Final Ride</strong></p>
<p>According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diesel confirmed in February 2024 that the next instalment would serve as the franchise's finale.</p>
<p>During FuelFest, the automotive event organised by Paul Walker's brother Cody Walker, Diesel also said the film would mark a return to the street racing and car culture that defined the early "Fast &amp; Furious" films.</p>
<p>He also teased a reunion between Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner, the character portrayed by the late Paul Walker, saying: "That is what you're going to get in the finale."</p>
