According to the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), exchange rates on Monday&rsquo;s opening, 18th August 2025, showed minor fluctuations across major currencies compared to Sunday&rsquo;s trading. The US dollar stood at EGP 48.27 for buying and EGP 48.37 for selling. The British pound was recorded at EGP 65.3914 for buying and EGP 65.6091 for selling. Meanwhile, the euro was quoted at EGP 56.4469 for buying and EGP 56.6703 for selling.
The Chinese yuan stood at EGP 6.7196 for buying and EGP 6.7366 for selling, while the Emirati dirham was valued at EGP 13.1297 for buying and EGP 13.1698 for selling.
