The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued its latest weather update for Wednesday, 27th of August 2025, warning of thunderstorms forming along Egypt&rsquo;s far southeastern border. Satellite images show rain-bearing clouds developing around Halayeb and Shalateen, with the potential for strong downdraft winds beneath these storm systems.
Elsewhere, conditions remain mostly stable, slightly hot across Northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, though some areas may see moderate winds.
Nationwide, the heat and humidity continue to dominate daytime conditions. South Sinai and Upper Egypt will be sweltering, while the rest of the country experiences hot, sticky weather. By nightfall and into the early morning of tomorrow, things should ease slightly, turning warm and humid across most regions.
