Egypt has officially entered winter, with Sunday, 21 December, marking the start of the season, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.
Temperatures are continuing to fall during the night and early morning hours across much of the country. Conditions are expected to be very cold overnight and at dawn, while daytime weather remains generally mild.
Minimum temperatures are forecast to range between 8 and 9 degrees Celsius in Cairo&rsquo;s new cities, dropping further to between 5 and 6 degrees in parts of Northern Upper Egypt and Central Sinai.
There is a slight chance of intermittent rainfall along sections of the northwestern coast. Low-level clouds are also expected to develop over Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities and Central Sinai, potentially bringing light drizzle in some areas, though no significant disruption is anticipated.
Winds may become occasionally active over parts of Greater Cairo at intervals, adding to the cooler feel, particularly during the evening hours.
