Egypt is expected to experience warm weather during the daytime and very cold conditions at night on Thursday, 26 February 2026, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.
Light to moderate rainfall is forecast at intervals over parts of the northern coast, Central Sinai and northern Lower Egypt. Heavier showers are expected in sections of the northeastern coast, with a probability of around 20 percent at times.
Light rain may also affect parts of southern Lower Egypt and the Suez Canal cities. The precipitation could extend to areas of Greater Cairo, with a 30 percent chance intermittently throughout the day.
Winds are expected to be active across various regions at intervals, contributing to cooler conditions, particularly in the evening.
Maritime navigation may face disruption along parts of the Red Sea coast and the Gulf of Suez due to strong winds ranging between 40 and 60 kilometres per hour. Wave heights are forecast to reach between 2.5 and 3 metres, potentially affecting smaller vessels and shipping operations.
