The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDA) has signed a financing agreement worth EGP 300 million with Aman Holding to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Egypt.
The funding will be channeled through Aman Holding as an intermediary to finance SMEs in all governorates. The initiative aims to provide locally needed products and services while creating job opportunities for youth and citizens.
The agreement was signed by Bassel Rahmy and Hazem Maghazi, alongside Ayman Bassiouny, with senior officials from both institutions attending the ceremony.
Empowering Entrepreneurs and Promoting Financial Inclusion
Rahmy highlighted SMEDA&rsquo;s commitment to expanding cooperation with banks and financial institutions to reach targeted groups, particularly youth and women, across the country.
He said the new agreement would help entrepreneurs start new businesses or expand existing projects, while also supporting business modernization and the replacement of outdated equipment. This, he added, would enable entrepreneurs to increase production, improve product quality, and boost competitiveness in the market.
The partnership also aims to promote financial inclusion, encouraging informal businesses to join the formal sector and benefit from incentives under Egypt&rsquo;s SME development laws.

Strengthening Entrepreneurship Nationwide
Maghazi expressed pride in renewing the partnership with SMEDA, noting that the agreement reflects Aman Holding&rsquo;s commitment to supporting Egypt&rsquo;s business environment.
He said the collaboration aligns with the company&rsquo;s expansion plan to provide innovative financing services for businesses of all sizes, especially SMEs. Through Aman&rsquo;s nationwide network of 233 branches, the company aims to empower entrepreneurs and create new job opportunities.
The strategic partnership also supports the government&rsquo;s broader goals of promoting financial inclusion, formalising businesses, and driving economic growth and competitiveness across Egypt.
