The US dollar extended its gains against the Egyptian pound on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, according to the latest data from the National Bank of Egypt.
The currency traded at EGP 54.50, up from EGP 54.05 in the previous session, marking a modest depreciation of the Egyptian pound.
The uptick comes amid relatively subdued activity in the foreign exchange market, as traders continue to track economic developments and shifts in demand for foreign currency.
