Egypt is set to experience a rise in temperatures on Sunday, 5 April 2026, with hot conditions prevailing during the daytime across most regions and cooler weather at night, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
There is also a chance of low clouds forming over northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt, which may bring light, generally insignificant drizzle to some areas.
Winds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h are expected to stir up sand and dust in parts of the Western Desert, Greater Cairo, South Sinai, the Red Sea Governorate, and southern Upper Egypt, potentially reducing horizontal visibility in certain locations.
The EMA also warned of possible disruptions to maritime navigation along the Red Sea coast and in the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba, where wind speeds may reach 50 to 60 km/h and wave heights are expected to range between 2.5 and 3.5 meters.
