Hot weather is expected across Egypt during the day, with cooler temperatures at night on Monday, 6 April, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
There is a chance of light rain in parts of the northern coastal governorates and northern Lower Egypt. Showers may become moderate in the evening in areas stretching from Salloum to Marsa Matrouh at intervals.
Low clouds are forecast over parts of southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities and northern Upper Egypt, which could bring light drizzle to some areas.
Winds are expected to be active, ranging between 30 and 40 km/h, and may raise sand and dust in parts of the Red Sea Governorate, South Sinai, and both northern and southern Upper Egypt. This could lead to reduced horizontal visibility in some locations.
The authority also said maritime navigation may be disrupted in parts of the Red Sea coast and the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba. Wind speeds there are expected to reach between 40 and 50 km/h, with wave heights ranging from 2 to 3 metres.
