Egypt is expected to experience warm weather during the daytime across most regions, with hotter conditions in Upper Egypt and cooler temperatures at night on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall over scattered areas of the North Coast, the Nile Delta, and the Suez Canal cities. These showers may intensify at times, becoming heavy and thundery, with an estimated probability of around 20% in some areas.
Light rain is also expected in parts of Greater Cairo, the Gulf of Suez, and Sinai, extending south to Halaib and Shalateen, with a probability of approximately 30% at intervals.
Winds will be active across most regions, ranging between 30 and 40 km/h. These winds may stir up sand and dust, particularly in parts of Upper Egypt, the Red Sea Governorate, and Sinai.
The EMA also warned that thunderstorms may be accompanied by strong downdraft winds in some areas, along with the possibility of lightning strikes and hail, with an estimated probability of around 20%.
