The Media Center of the Egyptian Cabinet highlighted a report published by the UK newspaper The Times, which underlined Egypt&rsquo;s growing status as a major global tourism destination.
The report noted that enhanced security measures in Red Sea resorts have helped reinforce their reputation as safe places to visit.
According to The Times, tourists are drawn to Egypt&rsquo;s Red Sea coast throughout the year to enjoy sunshine and participate in water sports, while also travelling to nearby cities to explore the country&rsquo;s ancient history spanning thousands of years.
The newspaper added that Egypt&rsquo;s geographical location can make it vulnerable to regional tensions when instability rises in the Middle East. However, it said authorities have strengthened security procedures across Red Sea tourist resorts, contributing to their continued safety and popularity among international visitors.
The report also pointed out that Sharm El Sheikh receives around 10 million tourists annually, while Hurghada remains widely known for its diving sites and water-based recreational activities.
