The US dollar is trading at EGP 49.8 for buying and EGP 49.9 for selling, according to the latest figures released by the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) on Sunday, 12 July 2026.
Among other major currencies, the British pound is trading at EGP 66.69 for buying and EGP 67.12 for selling, while the euro stands at EGP 56.83 for buying and EGP 57.18 for selling. The Chinese yuan is trading at EGP 7.33 for buying and EGP 7.36 for selling.
In the Gulf region, the UAE dirham remains relatively stable at EGP 13.54 for buying and EGP 13.58 for selling.
Exchange rates are closely monitored by businesses, investors and consumers, as movements in the Egyptian pound can affect import costs, investment decisions and wider economic activity.
