The US dollar is trading at EGP 50.17 for buying and EGP 50.27 for selling, according to the latest exchange rates published by the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) on Sunday, 30 August 2026.
Among other major currencies, the British pound is trading at EGP 67.87 for buying and EGP 68.35 for selling, while the euro is trading at EGP 58.08 for buying and EGP 58.59 for selling. The Chinese yuan is trading at EGP 7.45 for buying and EGP 7.48 for selling.
The UAE dirham is trading at EGP 13.64 for buying and EGP 13.68 for selling.
Exchange rates are closely monitored by businesses, investors and consumers, as fluctuations in the Egyptian pound can affect import costs, investment decisions and the wider economy.
