Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shokry, met with General of Operations at the World Bank,&nbsp;Anna Bjerde,&nbsp; during her current visit to Egypt, which aims to strengthen the ties between Egypt and the World Bank.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, Spokesperson&nbsp;of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, said that the meeting touched upon the cooperation between the two parties. The Minister for Foreign Affairs was keen to review the developments in the economic situation in Egypt and the development of the economic reform program in this regard, and expressing his appreciation for the World Bank's support for Egypt's economic development efforts.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the meeting saw an exchange of views on a number of priority issues, in particular developments related to the crises in the region, notably the Gaza Strip and the Sudan, and the humanitarian, economic and political challenges posed by those crises.
During the meeting Sameh Shokry briefed the World Bank official on Egypt's position on the regional issues of concern, highlighting Egypt's positive role in supporting and promoting peace and security in the region.&nbsp;
