Egypt is proudly set to host the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, running from today, 27th of April, until 18th of May. Thirteen national teams will battle across three venues in Cairo, Ismailia, and Suez. The highly anticipated opening match will see Egypt face South Africa tonight at 9:00 PM at Cairo International Stadium.
Adding to the excitement, renowned singer Ramy Sabry has been chosen to perform at the tournament&rsquo;s opening ceremony. Sabry is preparing a special song, expected to be a delightful surprise for millions of fans across Egypt, Africa, and around the world.
Group Stage Breakdown
Group A: Egypt, Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania Group B: Nigeria, Tunisia, Kenya, Morocco Group C: Senegal, Central African Republic, DR Congo, Ghana The Egyptian U-20 national team, known as the Young Pharaohs, has been drawn into Group A. They are aiming for a strong showing on home soil as they pursue their fifth continental title.

Quarterfinal Qualification Format
The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals. Due to Group A containing five teams, the results against the fifth-place team will be excluded when comparing third-placed teams, in accordance with tournament regulations.

Cairo International Stadium 30 June Stadium (Cairo) Suez Canal Authority Stadium (Ismailia) While the opening match will be held at Cairo International Stadium, the remainder of Group A fixtures will primarily take place at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium.
