&ldquo;The bravest human being, colleague, brother and friend.&rdquo; With these words, actress Riham Abdelghafour captured what so many in the Egyptian film industry felt when they learned of the loss of acclaimed cinematographer Taimour Taimour.

Known for his sharp eye and creative lens, Taimour was also remembered for his loyalty, laughter and generosity off set. Actress Yasmin Abdelaziz described him as &ldquo;the kindest heart and one of the bravest people I have ever met,&rdquo; while veteran star Youssra mourned him as &ldquo;a nice and loyal soul&rdquo; whose absence leaves a painful void. Actor Ahmed El Fishawy called him &ldquo;a dear brother and a friend like no other.&rdquo;

These tributes paint a portrait of a man who was not only a respected artist but also a cherished friend, whose life ended in an act of extraordinary courage. Taimour passed away at the age of 44 while saving his son from drowning in Ras El Hekma. He succeeded in rescuing his child, but tragically lost his own life in the process.

Behind the camera, Taimour&rsquo;s artistry shaped some of Egyptian cinema&rsquo;s most striking visuals. His work as director of photography or assistant DOP spanned landmark films such as &ldquo;Ibrahim El Abyad&rdquo; and &ldquo;Ares Mn Geha Amneya,&rdquo; while television audiences admired his contributions to &ldquo;Asia,&rdquo; &ldquo;Tariqi,&rdquo; and most recently &ldquo;Gawdar.&rdquo; He also appeared as an actor in the 2005 film &ldquo;Hasa El Sabaa,&rdquo; further underscoring his love for storytelling in all its forms.

The Egyptian Actors Syndicate, led by Dr. Ashraf Zaki, joined colleagues and friends in offering condolences, honoring both his career achievements and his unforgettable personal qualities.
