Dr. Khaled Dagher, Artistic Director of The Pyramids Echo, told NileFM that the Pyramids were the main reason top international artists agreed to take part in the festival&rsquo;s first edition.
Speaking at the press conference announcing the event, held under the theme Cradle of Civilizations&hellip; Nexus of Arts and Cultures at the Giza Plateau from November 24 to 30, Dagher explained, &ldquo;When we started reaching out to global artists, it was quite a challenge to confirm names within just six months, since most of them plan their concerts years ahead. What made it possible was the magic of the Pyramids, which played a key role in attracting world-renowned performers like Lang Lang and Dimash.&rdquo;
He added, &ldquo;Composer Ammar El Sherei was a true legend of Egyptian music, an artist whose creativity we never got enough of. We decided to honor his work in the festival&rsquo;s first edition because his music perfectly represents the Egyptian spirit of his generation. We also chose to celebrate Hisham Nazih, who has become a global icon while keeping his music deeply connected to Egyptian identity and emotion.&nbsp;
Dagher noted that the festival aims to showcase a wide variety of musical styles every year. &ldquo;This is clear even in our first edition, where we&rsquo;re blending classical performances with iconic Egyptian film scores. We want young people to experience these rich forms of music and learn to appreciate their beauty,&rdquo; he said.
