The Cairo International Film Festival announced during the closing ceremony of its 46th edition that the film &ldquo;The Botanist,&rdquo; directed by Jing Yi, has won the Best Asian Feature Film Award (NETPAC). The award comes as part of the festival&rsquo;s ongoing support for Asian cinema and its commitment to highlighting outstanding works that present innovative artistic visions.
The jury for the award included Bina Paul from India, Egyptian writer and translator Ahmed El Saeed, and French programmer C&eacute;line Roustan.
This award reflects the Cairo International Film Festival&rsquo;s dedication to supporting Asian cinema and spotlighting films that aim to deliver authentic and impactful stories to a global audience.
