Hany Shaker has died at the age of 73 following a recent health crisis, according to an announcement on his official Facebook page.
The veteran singer had recently experienced serious health complications that led him to travel to Paris for treatment and physical rehabilitation. However, he later suffered respiratory complications after a period of relative improvement, according to journalist Ahmed Abdel Rahim during a phone interview with Jehan Abdallah on Nogoum FM&rsquo;s &ldquo;Agmad 7."
Born on 21 December 1952 in Cairo, Shaker first emerged as a singer in 1972 with a song composed by renowned musician Mohamed El-Mougy. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he became one of the most celebrated voices in Egyptian and Arab music, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy that influenced generations across the region.
