What began as a personal passion has evolved into a story of creativity, dedication, and cross-cultural resonance.

1. You began your journey in Alexandria, mixing tracks on your laptop. How does it feel to see how far you have come today? I was born in Alexandria and moved to Hurghada. I started mixing using Virtual DJ software. Looking back now, it feels like a major milestone in my journey. 2. What was it about DJing that first drew you in, and why did you choose this path over other careers? I got inspired by a well-known UK DJ called James Hype. Before that, I was invited to DJ in a lounge in Marsa Alam, and that&rsquo;s when I realized this was my path. I also love music and wanted to do what I love.

What was it like representing Egypt on an international stage? I was proud to represent Egypt abroad. It is an honor to share my music with a global audience, and I am grateful for the opportunity. 4. You are known for reviving classic Egyptian songs through techno. What inspired you to blend heritage and electronic music? It is something cool and unique, especially with the rise of AI in music. I like combining heritage and modern sounds to create something new. 5. Tracks like Electric Dreams and Velarix define your melodic techno sound. How do you approach creating music that connects both emotionally and rhythmically? I focus on emotion first and then build the rhythm and sound around it. I want people to move and connect emotionally at the same time. 6. Every artist faces challenges. What have been some of the biggest obstacles, and how did you overcome them? Consistency is the key. You must do it a lot and never give up. That is what I did and continue to do.

How important are platforms like Instagram and TikTok for DJs today? It is much easier now to reach an audience. When I started, I recorded myself on my phone and kept posting on TikTok until things started to take off. Social media is essential for connecting with fans. 8. Egypt&rsquo;s electronic music scene is growing rapidly. How do you see your role in shaping it, and what do you hope to achieve locally and internationally? I am seeking to achieve a hit. I am not rushing it yet, but I promise it will come. Once it does, it will be a game-changer locally and internationally. 9. Every DJ has that one track that always gets the crowd moving. What is yours? Skadi by Marko Meko and Avity was released on YALLA EDM Records. It always gets the crowd moving. 10. If you could collaborate with any Egyptian artist, past or present, who would it be and why? Amir Eid. He is in a different genre, and it would be exciting to create something new together. 11. What is next for you? Any upcoming releases, projects, or shows that fans should watch out for? I am planning a project in collaboration with Abdalla Magdy, founder of JB Production. An exclusive remix in collaboration with Ramstring. I am also planning a European tour in December 2025.

How does it feel to be featured on one of Egypt&rsquo;s biggest radio platforms, and what does Nile FM mean to you personally? It feels amazing. Nile FM is one of Egypt&rsquo;s most renowned radio stations. It is an honor to be part of it. 13. Finally, what message would you like to send to your listeners and Nile FM fans tuning in right now? Thank you for your support. Keep following your passion, never give up, and enjoy the music. I will keep creating sounds that move you emotionally and physically.
His Latest Project Marko Meko&rsquo;s rise continues with a major new milestone: his track &ldquo;Skadi,&rdquo; produced with Avity, has been exclusively featured in the Yango Play Original series Roses and Chocolate, which premiered on October 30, 2025. The song appears in Season 1, Episode 2 during a high-energy party sequence filmed in Soma Bay, starring Egyptian talents Zeina, Mohamed Soliman, and Mohamed Farag. This placement marks a significant step for Egypt&rsquo;s new wave of electronic musicians, highlighting how rising artists from the local scene are breaking into major film and TV soundtracks.&nbsp;
