Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed his pleasure after Egypt was officially granted the right to host the 2027 African Games, during the meeting of the Council of African Ministers of Youth, Sports, and Culture.

The Minister of Youth and Sports stressed that the unlimited support of the political leadership, primarily President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Sobhy also noted that Egypt had previously hosted the event in 1991, and the return of the African Games again to Egypt should be a matter of pride for all Egyptians.
