Spanish tennis legend,&nbsp;Rafael Nadal, retired from tennis after he was defeated in Spain's Davis Cup by Botic van de Zandschulp.
Nadal had already announced his retirement in&nbsp;a video message released on his social media, in which he said "I am retiring from professional tennis. The reality is that it has been some difficult years, these last two especially. I don&rsquo;t think I have been able to play without limitations. It is obviously a difficult decision, one that has taken me some time to make. But in this life, everything has a beginning and an end".
After his final match in the Davis cup&nbsp;The 38-year-old Spaniard shared a message with the fans saying, &ldquo;I just want to be remembered as a good person and a kid that followed their dreams and achieved more than what I&rsquo;ve ever dreamed,&rdquo; the Spanish great modestly said after playing in his final match".
Rafael Nadal has a long and illustrious career, in which he won 92 titles including 22 Grand Slam titles, and 2 Wimbledon titles, in 2008 and 2010.&nbsp;
it's worth mentioning that the last two years, Nadal was plagued with persistent injuries, which he cited as the key reason behind his decision to retire.&nbsp;
