Excitement is building as the draw for the 2025&ndash;2026 Egyptian Premier League takes place today. Scheduled for 3:00 PM on Sunday 27th of July, the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association will host the event at the National Teams Center in 6th of October City, known as the &ldquo;Goal Project.&rdquo;
All participating clubs have been instructed to send a representative with an official mandate to attend the draw ceremony.
Following recent discussions with the Egyptian Football Association, club presidents, and national team coach Hossam Hassan, the Association has confirmed that the new season will kick off on 8th of August.
In a step toward greater transparency and fairness, the draw will be held publicly and without any prearranged outcomes. It will determine fixtures for both the first and second rounds, unlike last season, when the second-round schedule was announced without prior consultation with the clubs. This adjustment follows recommendations made by the Football Association&rsquo;s Appeals Committee.
21 Teams to Compete in a Two-Stage Format
This season will see 21 clubs competing, following last year&rsquo;s decision to suspend relegation.
