Liverpool says Mohamed Salah has become the first player in Premier League history to reach double figures for both goals and assists against a single opponent.
The Egyptian forward achieved the landmark during Liverpool&rsquo;s 4&ndash;1 win over Newcastle United at Anfield. While Salah did not score, his assist for the opening goal, the first of Hugo Ekitike&rsquo;s two, secured his place in the record books.
Salah now has 10 goals and 10 assists against Newcastle, making him the first player to register double-digit goal contributions in both categories against one club in the Premier League era.
The assist also helped him set another record, as he became the player with the most goal contributions at a single venue. Salah has now recorded 107 goals and 45 assists at Anfield, taking his total there to 152.

In doing so, he moved ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal greats Wayne Rooney and Thierry Henry, who each registered 151 goal contributions at Old Trafford and Highbury respectively.
Liverpool&rsquo;s meetings with Newcastle are among the Premier League&rsquo;s most prolific fixtures, producing 198 goals in total, behind only Liverpool versus Tottenham (209) and Arsenal versus Liverpool (199).
Newcastle currently sit 11th in the Premier League table, while Liverpool is sixth as they look to climb higher.
Liverpool&rsquo;s next match comes on Sunday, 8 February, when they face Manchester City, setting up a possible Egyptian duel between Salah and Omar Marmoush. City are second in the table, with Liverpool continuing their push towards the top.
