<p>The internet is buzzing over "The Summer I Turned Pretty" and honestly, we couldn&rsquo;t agree more. Based on Jenny Han&rsquo;s novel, the series follows Belly, Jere, Conrad and Steven, but the heart of the story is that summer when Belly turned 16 and suddenly realised she wasn&rsquo;t a kid anymore. She felt pretty, desirable, and saw herself differently, as did everyone else. Conrad Fisher was always the love of her life&mdash;the daydream she carried around&mdash;and even though he&rsquo;s the nonchalant, emotionally unavailable type, you can&rsquo;t help but fall for him too. The tension between them in Season 1 was undeniable, even with Conrad dating someone else; the chemistry practically leaked through the screen.</p>

<p>Then comes Jeremiah, or Jere, the golden retriever of the bunch&mdash;the safe option, the boy who won&rsquo;t break your heart. Except, spoiler alert, he kind of does. Belly and Conrad did get together by the end of summer, a dream come true for Belly, but it left Jeremiah heartbroken after she had given him a green light that something could happen, only for Conrad to swoop in with his confession. By Season 3, the triangle has only gotten messier. Belly is engaged to Jeremiah at just 21, choosing him right after he cheated, which makes the decision feel shaky at best. She was supposed to take her last semester in Paris, but now she&rsquo;s stuck, unable to leave him for even five months, and social media is ripping this storyline apart.</p>
