The Addams are back &mdash; and this time, it's going to be darker, sharper and a whole lot weirder.
Jenna Ortega is officially returning as our favorite deadpan misfit in Wednesday Season 2. After dominating pop culture with her emotionless stares and TikTok-breaking dance moves, she's not only reprising her role &mdash; she&rsquo;s stepping behind the scenes as executive producer.
So, when is it dropping?
Netflix has officially confirmed that Wednesday Season 2 will be released in two parts in summer 2025. Part 1 will premiere on August 6, 2025 and Part 2 will follow on September 3, 2025.
Is there a trailer?
Yes &mdash; the first teaser trailer has finally dropped, giving fans a quick glimpse into what&rsquo;s coming. The full trailer is still under wraps, but should land closer to summer.&nbsp;

Where was it filmed?
Production officially began in May 2024 in Ireland, after moving from its previous filming location in Romania due to reported logistical challenges. As of December 4, 2024, Netflix confirmed that production had officially wrapped.

Season 2 promises to lean even more into supernatural chaos. With Wednesday&rsquo;s powers evolving and a darker mystery looming, we&rsquo;re in for a season that&rsquo;s more horror-forward and less romance-focused. New characters are on the way and the Nevermore world is about to get a lot bigger.

&ldquo;I kind of want her to be darker,&rdquo; Ortega told Entertainment Tonight, adding &ldquo;I want her to get more in the nitty-gritty of things and not play things so safe, because there are a lot of lines about her saving the school and doing whatever, but for me, her main drive with the monster is competitiveness. Kind of, &lsquo;Man, how&rsquo;s this guy doing this?&rsquo;&rdquo;
