Dr. Magdi Yacoub, the founder of &ldquo;Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation,&rdquo; arrived in Vatican City to meet up with His Holiness Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State since 2013.
&nbsp;<img src="https://api.fastersmart.online/uploads/embeds/1658736694-BeFunky-collage_-_2022-07-25T101018.451.jpg" alt="" width="980" height="600" />Photo Credit: Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation&nbsp; Dr. Yacoub established the largest heart and lung transplantation program in the world. He has also developed operations for complex congenital heart anomalies. In 1992, Queen Elizabeth II knighted Yacoub, and in April of 2004, he was given a lifetime achievement award by the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation.
The signed agreement states that &ldquo;The Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation&rdquo; will share its medical expertise and assistance in medical research with the &ldquo;Child Jesus of Cairo Onlus&rdquo;, which is a maternity hospital in the New Administrative Capital in Cairo.

The &ldquo;Child Jesus of Cairo Onlus&rdquo; is an association that promotes solidarity by offering medical assistance to everyone, specifically aimed at pregnant women and abandoned children.
At the end of the meeting, His Holiness Pope Francis, blessed the joint cooperation project between the two parties, praying that God would bring the efforts of those involved in this philanthropy to success and compromise.

The ceremony included the launch of the "Child Jesus Charity&rsquo;s" website in seven languages, as well as the announcement of its logo that is inspired by a gift given by His Holiness Pope Francis, which contains a copy of the famous statue of "Mercy" by the artist Michelangelo.
