Meet Mickey!

Mickey was born in Cairo, but he moved around a bit as a young child, mainly the United Arab Emirates and United States. His whole adult life has been in Egypt, though. Outside of work you’ll usually either find him at the gym, out with his close friends, or at home playing video games. He's a Gemini, although he doesn’t buy into astrology. He's an avid reader, you'll usually find him reading three or four books at the same time. Mickey also sings in a band and plays the guitar! His college major was accounting, but he's never balanced a sheet in his life.

Enjoy your lack of responsibility!

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

Gotten married. Then divorced.

If you were to spend your lifetime advocating a cause, what would it be?

Subverting the stigma surrounding mental health.

What is your worst habit?

Smoking.

What are three things you cannot live without?

The internet, electricity, and Pizza.

What superpower do you wish your pets had?

I’ve had a rotating mélange of cats across the years, but currently I have just two, Kylo and Rey. If I had to have them have a superpower, it would be for them to understand and speak to me. It’s really difficult telling a cat what to do.

Do you speak any other languages?

Mainly English and Arabic, and I’m trying to learn Spanish.

What is the most embarrassing Halloween outfit you’ve ever worn? (Bonus points if you have a photo you’re willing to share!)

I once dressed in a burka. They wouldn’t let me into the men’s bathroom.

Favorite musician of all time?

Toss up between Maynard James Keenan of Tool and Matt Bellamy of Muse.

Favorite TV show of all time?

Farscape.

If you could only play three video games for the rest of your life, which ones would they be?

Final Fantasy VII, The Last of Us, and The Witcher.

Who’s your favorite villain?

Darth Vader.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Telekinesis. I’m lazy like that.

Do you think Batman carries snacks with him?

I’ve never seen him eat anything. Have you? I’m going with no.

Stan Lee.

Do you have a favorite anime?

Not a big anime fan, but Ghost in the Shell is great (the original, not the Hollywood remake).
